Very nice recipe madam and a very nice gesture from your side to give a reply to the mother of a COVID patient. I want to suggest that if we have time, we can freeze this paste in ice cubes and then unmould and store them in a jar in the freezer. Use one or two cubes every time we need to make rasam. This may be cumbersome. But it may be useful for people who can make such a mix in one go during weekends, but they don’t have enough time during the weekdays

Thanks a lot for visiting and yes indeed a great suggestion , i have seen such pics of frozen cubes of rasam in other groups, i also feel it is the fastest way to do quick cooking for youngsters. i must try this sometime , actually a year back i saw these rasam cubes being sold in a pouch in some store and i was thinking about trying and finding out more about this, but i never got around to do it , that was a dry rasam cube and i always wondered how it tasted and how useful it could be if taste was assured, we can carry dry rasam cubes ! . thanks for the wonderful tips..cheers

@@RadhaNatarajanYourEverydaycook Yes ma'am. I have tried this with masala gravy for curries. It stays well and tastes good upto a month. However, one must dedicate an ice tray for these masalas. The odour remains after washing.

oh iam so sorry to hear this, yes this really helps , you can also prepare a dry version by roasting tamrind in oil , and when it becomes crisp, cool and powder and add to rasam podi, that become a rasam mix also , a dry version with longer shelf life , so all you need to do is boil one cup water, add required podi and delcious rasam is ready, we can add fresh cut tomatoes if needed . qty of tamridn can be little more if no tomatoes will be added ...this is real instant rasam mix , we can microwavave one cup and have it immediately ...wishinng for speedy recovery ...take care

Mam very nice recipe & different, I will try, mam one small suggestion pls do not mistake, if you keep your mobile ( if you are using mobile to record) horizontally I think it will be good to record, like this I personally feel uncomfortable & insufficient to watch your videos.

thanks for the comment, certainly i wont mistake, you are right, but thing is i make videos for Instagram reels first where vertical videos only can be uploaded , and i upload in a different aspect ratio for youtube , as i cannot shoot the same again for youtube .....how ever iam trying to figure out how to correct this, once again I appreciate your views and thankful for the observation , ., do stay connected
