Lot of net use with small ones....just communicate the size and you don't have to bring in your other line on every hookup. Walleye don't fight that hard to control. Now big ones, different story. Love the Erie dearies.

I dont run them often, either. In fact, Erie is my least favorite place to chase Eyes, in general. I would rather fish a river, but Erie has a ton of them!
@@TeamJesusOutdoors Do you let the rest of the crawler hang out behind the hook? Seems if you just hooked the head, you would get a lot of short bites. I would do a lot of drift fishing with a one once banana weight and either a errie dreary or a willow leaf. I would always laugh because I would slam them while watching a 30k boat trolling 30 lines and no fish

You need to troll fast enough to keep the blades spinning properly. It will take some experimenting., to find the right speed. Smaller blades typically spin at slower speeds than larger blades.
Team Jesus Outdoors And just think, it’s the smallest of the Great Lakes. My favorite (I didn’t say most successful) is slow trolling late in the day with a Hot-n-Tot. It seems different parts of the lake are populated by fish which feed differently.
Thanks for your video! How big is your boat? It has been over 20 years since We fished for Walleye in the Western Basin, around West Sister, middle Sister and the Bass islands.. We had a camper at Lake Erie and a boat dock about 10 miles west of port Clinton. We caught more Walleyes than we could eat and even give to family and friends with Erie Dearies and trolling with Crankbaits. I preferred drifting with Erie Dearies and night crawlers. That was then. Thanks for posting. Nice to see people getting some the old way. You just needed a couple rod-holders ready for when you had to net your buddy's fish. A couple times you left your line in the water, and just set your rod down. I learned the hard way not to do that. Lost my favorite set-up to a fish last summer when I did exactly that.
