Thank you Katrina for sharing the build up to your wedding. How amazing was the dying of the silk and cotton bit of the video truly inspiring. It sounds like your wedding was pretty amazing with all the allotment products involved. We all know (who watch) how important your allotment is to you. When you were talking about your flowers I felt quite emotional for you as I know how (going by past videos and posts) excited and how hard you have worked to make sure it all turns out right in the end. How fab to have your own grown flowers as your bouquet. The. Mr and Mrs pumpkin was just genius! Wishing you every happiness for you and Mr Foy future together and looking forward to part 2!!! 💜🎃🌸🦋

Enjoyed the update! Hawthorn has some fantastic medicinal qualities that "modern" medicine has forgotten. Hawthorn has a strong association with Samhain - so totally appropriate to use at this time of year!

Katrina you've done amazing. Not many brides-to-be would've grown their own flowers so well done in what was one of your most stressful points in your life!
You're going into winter and I'm coming into summer and I've got some peppers, tomatoes and corn all itching to be transplanted. It's only been mid 20's C for a couple of days and my peas, verbena, lettuces and marigolds have all gotten a bit fried despite my late afternoon after work watering. I'm living up to my unfortunate new nickname for myself of "plant killer"

Your mother in law is very talented, the wedding bouquet was really spectacular considering it was only the mark one model. The whole border was looking spectacular and a credit to your gardening skills.

I'm yet to fall in love with dahlias (though I enjoy your enthusiasm for them), but I've been growing straw flowers since I first saw you grow them. The fascinate me endlessly. I now also let parsnips go to seed- purely for the plant they become. Nigella also found its way into my garden thanks to you. And numerous other things. So basically, thank you for brightening up my life with your plants and your pleasant temperament.

Beautiful flowers Kat, I love all your personal touches for your wedding favours. I made sweet chilli jam favours for my son's wedding this year. All the guest loved the homemade touches. I am sure your guests did too. Grown and Made with love and care. Your mother in law is a very talented lady, if the trial bouquet was anything to go by, and I saw the snippets of your wedding on instagram, the flowers for the wedding were stunning. Looking forward to seeing the video of them.

Hello Katrina, I am so happy for the two of you. I am so excited all the flowers were used in your wedding. Watching your videos about Dahlias last year and this year. You did inspire me to buy several tubers and planted them all about. This year I grew them in pots as I try to decide how to grow them in ground in a way that will look appropriate. You mentioned them growing through netting. Would you be able to explain this a bit how to set up the netting best ways to use it? Maybe add a link of what you used so I can buy the netting for next year. I have seen the market gardeners stretched out nettings of sorts in very long rectangular rows. I think I would like to have various clumps here and there using them in that type of application.
It was so fantastic to see you today we are all happy for you and seeing all the ways you arranged the flowers and how they were used ect. So take your time! A new marriage needs a lot of attention and there are growing pains so take your time and let life happen as you adjust and let videos wait a minute or two here and there no one will complain and if they do then too bad for them. God bless your new family today and all the days to come!

How brave to undertake growing the wedding flowers and making the wedding favours with all the other wedding preparations. It all looked wonderful and looking forward to the next instalment.
