It’s like looking into a dark window while you’re outside on a bright day. Not sure if lighting standards have changed since I danced, but that was my experience at least.

The louder they yell, the more the hole goes, Open Shut Open Shut. So just remember the butthole and you'll instantly start laughing or forget about what they are saying.

same, I've recently graduated from pt for chronic knee pain and I do karate and I always felt humiliated by my family and my peers when I sit out, especially since not everyone understands or knows what happening. being injured for long periods of time doesn't just affect your body, it affect the way you think about yourself.

I ended up sitting on a chair in the corner for those classes so I didn't miss anything but the studio's kinda small so it was annoying for everyone to have to maneuver around me and I was kinda embarrassed about it all. And starting Actually Dancing again after I was healed up was a nightmare

this is also a problem if you're not squeezing your glutes enough to lift your weight. I had this problem before because my main strength was in my feet and not up the leg enough. Teacher showed me how to lift my weight with my thighs and butt.
they're like a sock, you put them on under tights and they make you look like you have high(er) arches (edit: insteps. They're different I think). beware though, i think they're quite a bit frowned upon, and when you're on flat or maybe not in a pointe shoe, they're noticeable.

As someone who went to a dance conservatoire, most kids went to an evening school while having ballet in the morning. I for example, was a bit older and went to uni while I was dancing at the same time, so I was that girl studying in between classes
Band-Aids can really take a lot out of your budget when you need a lot of them. Way back when (I am ancient and decrepit, but still have a pretty good memory- even if it's been 30 years since I was worried about blisters and pointe shoes), I only used actual band-aids when I already had a blister. If the skin was still ok, just the threat of an impending blister- I would instead, wrap my toe with masking tape. It's really important to make sure it's masking tape (kind of like paper tape, but sturdier), rather than scotch tape or duct tape (although, in a pinch- I have been known to use scotch tape with a tiny pad or kleenex over the blister/wound) because it breathes a lot better and there is less chance of it contributing to any kind of fungal growth. Also, the excess sweat would make your pointe shoe box break down a lot faster. If I knew I had a long day ahead of me- technique class, point class, variations, partnering, rehearsals, etc. (basically anything but modern- because I obviously didn't have to worry about pointe shoe friction for modern dance class :) ), I would go ahead and individually wrap each toe with masking tape. When I started doing this, it actually cut down my blisters by at least 50%. This made my toes and bank account both a lot happier.
