Jimmy Page has long been one of the best music writers in the Rock genre. Page's vision and command of both his instrument and the studio is on par with Les Paul and only a very finite number of others... Hopefully, Page will live to a very ripe old age!

My very f rec mom gave me a for my birthday, Led Zeppelin II. Mom was cool. I was so blown away I g their first album, also awesome. Loved the third album and I don't remember when I started buying other artists. When their fourth album came out I took it to my neighbors. Three of us played together in a band. We sat in his room and listened breathless to each song. I really felt at the t the fourth album was the pinnacle and it was only later I came to appreciate the last few albums. It was really digging in the music that it made sense how near impossible it would be to replace John Bonham. Recently looking at concert footage Page's brilliant playing seemed a little like showing off. It's also very interesting to see what session work he did. He was on everything. No wonder he was so versatile. The one disappointment is he hasn't done much of note since. Occasionally I hear a song on the radio and wonder why I can't remember what album it was on. It would be a Rob Plant song, and he seems to never stop touring. Very fortunate to have had them all making music.
I can promise you one thing, Rock Radio Station in the U.S. do NOT have time set aside everyday to "get the Pink out." However, we do have time daily on almost ever rock station to "get the Led out." Pink Floyd is great, but they're a distant second to the Mighty Zeppelin.

I met Jimmy Page once . And it was Sunday mornig leaving Victoria Station coming from the Recording studio when he was Remastering their albums .
