She owns the biggest dragonfruit plantation in the Philippines (200 hectares) which started as a backyard garden. Her inspiring story continues to be a motivation to most of us. Her humility and very down-to-earth attitude is indeed very humbling. Their unselfish support to would-be cultivators, both big and small, is worth emulating. Kudos, ma'am!❤️

I love her this lady talks to us, there is no problem with slurred speech or too fast to comprehend and at the same time Ms. Edita makes her subject, the dragonfruit cactus seem so interesting, that you're totally glued to the tube! Thank you dear lady I learned so much and want to start some dragonfruit here in Mexico, greetings from Querétaro! :)
Very down to earth lady ms. Dacuycuy. I met her in her own farm when we visit her farm in ilocos. More power to you Mam dacuycuy and keep sharing knowledge and inspiring people
My uncle owns a farm but I haven't had the chance to talk about dragon fruits, I just eat them when he gives fruits from harvest. But this video educated me well. Thank you! I hope you'll have plenty of harvests. 🤗
Thank you for your informative video Ms. Edita, you inspired me and other Filipinos who wants to venture in farming as a way in helping to develop our economy. Looking forward to meet you in person and ask for your help in mentoring me in my new journey. I am an OFW and living in Iligan City. God Bless you always.

Maraming salamat for this video. Informative. I have a small backyard dragon fruit farm dito sa Kenya. Pero tinatamnan ko na ang 1 hectare ko sa North Cotabato...
Great video and very educational! Thanks for sharing! I just recently got two nice sized plants and this video has helped me to better understand their growth and fruiting habit.
I live on a tropical island of 30degrees with ALOT of sun. Yet no LOCAL ever planted dragon fruit! Only now the Chinese community has started cultivation of these plants for selling. I just bought 12 cuttings and I am going to start my own little farm for personal use!
I was inspired by your presentation. In fact I have started planting some posts here in Guimaras island and the plants are doing well. Probably I can ask for more information and advice from you in the future. More power!
Excelente video y gracias por la información. Mi pregunta es, cuando riegan las plantas y si se riegan también los cutings mientras les sale la re uz? Saludos desde México!

Mam I worked as an OFW and going back to our country this year .I have been watching on youtube about Dragon Fruit and plan to cultivate Dragon Fruit in small farm of around 8000m2 and hope that this will help me encourage to spend more time in the farm as I feel this a good way to make me healthier Can I buy matured cuttings from your farm/ nursery ? .Please advise your location I really find your explanation very informative .
Hello Po. I'm not sure if I missed the info but why did you plant 2 different varieties in one pole instead of a single variety per pole? Thank you in advance.
I planted dragon fruit on the 8th of sep and 5 days later I have 10 sprouts, I put the seeds in a Rubbermaid container with cactus potting mix and put it on the stove and turned the oven on to 300 two or three times a day just till the oven goes off.
How can you handle the needles without a care? Did you remove them beforehand? I was told if you removed the needles it will grow back with a vengeance.
Just started to plant dragon fruit here in Florida 2 months ago. It started to have shoots already and a tiny thing hanging which I mistakenly thought it was a flower already...only to find out that it could be an aerial root after I watched this video. I did not know that it has an aerial root.
I would like to grow some at home unfortunately I live in Arizona ( USA )which is extremely hot what advise can you give me to grow them successfully in this type of weather ?? how to prepare the soil ?? what kind fertilizer ??
I live in Canada and tried to grow in my 8 by 10 greenhouse, after 9 months my cutting is 64 inches high....but the humidity caused the plant to mildew a white film and the cutting rotted but the plant survived. Any advice about keeping the plants going in my greenhouse? have not gotten any fruit yet should I trim off the top branch back a bit?
Can I ask how often should one water the plant. I've been told to water everyday but some told me to water once a week. I've been watering mine every other day and the plant is 2 years old and no fruit yet. It has developed 2 buds which sadly reverted itself back to stems. And what kind of fertilizer would you recommend and how often to feed? Thank you, I'm trying to hopefully get some blooms next year since this year was a fail.
So basically you just put the fresh cuttings in compost or something, keep it moist for a few weeks until it develops roots, then you transplant it into its permanent home?

I always wait for few days until the cutting part dry out then place it on any moist soil for the root develop.
