    What I just said is true for the 844, the 844a however can be switched to 500 Ohm and that would go nicely with your modern radio

    The impedanc is too high for your radio (50 Kohm) and you won't produce enough drive, sorry. Thanks for watching!

    Hi iv got one of these I must have bought it at a rally years ago hi hi and it is mint as well but just wondering whether I could us this microphone with an Icom Transceiver ie ic-746 (I know you would need to rewire the plug) but would have enough output talk it up the radio ?
