I have been the owner of this car for 9 months already. I'll tell about disadvantages I've noticed.
    1) I have 2.5L-engine. It seems to me that the car accelerates very hard. I expected more from the 2.5 liter engine. Perhaps because this is not a turbo version and the full potential is revealed already in motion.
    2) CVT. Very smooth transmission. I haven't noticed any problems with gear shifting yet. But CVT transmissions are not ideally suited to high load conditions such as towing. I'm curious why they use so weak transmission in 2.5L version.
    3) The headlights are always on in auto mode. It doesn't matter if it's day or night. Probably because of safety standards in Australia.
    4) The third row of seats it's just marketing. It almost useless.
    5) Fuel capacity is about 12L/100km in the city. Highway - 6-7 liters.
    6) It doesn't have wireless CarPlay.
I guess so far these are all the cons that came to mind.

I really like its e-power version. But I didn't realise that this SUV has a fuel tank as small as only 55L, which is only 4L larger than the Mazda 3's fuel tank. Probably not really enough for a family SUV.

650-700km of range isn't enough for you?!?

The epower doest have 7 seats.

E-power is also the worst of the 3 hybrids specs due to the law of thermodynamics. (edit: to clarify - conventional hybrid / plug-in hybrid / range-extender hybrid in that the e-power is a range extender hybrid)

I don’t know why Nissan has stuck to CVT……it looks great but I would go for the e power instead

Which car has the best "modern take" on the info screen? This looks OK but I think it feels like my 2015 Mazda 3.

At 7.5 out of 10 who knows what you're looking for other than a better armseat in the second row but the 5 seat option is cracking.

We actually did go for an Outlander Aspire with added options and more standard features for a similar price to the Xtrail STL. The Aspire has an auto tailgate, heads up display, auto rein sensing wipers, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple play, large 10.8 inch touch screen, better sounding standard sound system and 8 airbags as opposed to 7 on the STL. What tipped us over the edge for the Outlander was its more generous 10 year conditional warranty and more affordable capped price servicing costs. The Aspire is replacing our 2010 STL Xtrail so we were ready to ga with the latest STL version, but Mitsubishi is more competitive and better value for our hard earned dollars.

The Nissan X-trail ST-L takes Regular Unleaded 91.

      According to manual instructions: 2.5 engine - 91 and 95; 1,5T - only 95

Mitsubishi and Nissan shares platform but the new Outlander is 10x much better than this.

We wanted to replace our 2010 Xtrail STL with the latest version but the Outlander Aspire that we're getting is much better value for a similar price, particularly the more generous 10 year conditional warranty and more affordable capped price servicing costs.

It would be a great 5 seater, but that third row is embarrassing, not even children would fit in there. 700km on a 55L tank is amazing fuel economy.

Very peculiar that the 7 seater ONLY comes in AWD. Not unwanted, but very odd.

We need more powerful engines in mid size Suv Turbo charged about 😊350 Nm torque at least for 7 seaters.
