Thank you for all your videos. I have learned so much from you ! I’m glad you survived the arctic blast. It was pretty brutal here in Wyoming. I’m praying for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 🙌📖✝️
Congrats you have come a long way since the first video that I saw when you were in California. Farming is all about learning what works and what doesn't. The main thing I've learned in my years of raising black Angus is the animal will show you what works. They are the teacher. Good luck in your journey.
Since you started farming from scratch, you are excellent for people like me who grew up so urban we lack the practices, and all that people once learned by osmosis in a farming society. Since your move to Tennessee, you've been a thousand times more helpful to me just trying to understand what is possible near me. Since you're an introvert, you have the thinker style of communication that is natural to me. Since you are a thinker who is also clearly a mover/doer, a rare combo, you offer me the challenge needed (a fellow introvert/thinker). Thank you for your channel.
I'm glad my newer content has been really helpful to you! It's not easy for us but the more I've put myself out there over and over or in front of crowds it's shifted me big time to where I have very little anxiety public speaking, it's weird. Just takes a lot of exposure and going for it.
Paint the tubs holding water black. That will help to keep the water from freezing. Or use a bubbler in the tub with a solar panel will keep water from freezing
Thank you for your video content. I know you have negative Nellie’s out there… but I just wanted to say these come at just the right times. Keep on keeping on!
The video that introduced me to your channel forever ago was your chicken coop design video. You had many neat little innovations and seemed proud of them, and you've said more than once that you'd be happy to build essentially the same coop. One thing I think I'd like to see in the future is a video including updates you've made to your coop designs, and maybe a walkthrough of what you haven't changed, and why it works as well as it does.
I still stand by that design for sure, basically no work to raise chickens. My new coop is pretty cool too not quite as automated (Yet) but built with a lot of natural materials from my homestead. I'll show it soon.
PLEASE keep providing content! Even your older videios are extremely helpful, especially KNF. I am certain you have positively impacted numerous people across the globe.
I’m with you. I have so many friends asking me to make UA-cam farming content. I just like farming. Lol I don’t even know how to film, edit….. I super appreciate your content and morals, that’s how I found you and follow you. Been thinking about getting out of goats and into sheep because of you. Have chickens, ducks, turkeys, meat rabbits, Kune Kune pigs and goats. I garden, do farmers markets. Have 40 acres in the country in Oregon.
Wow that sounds amazing Stacia you have a lot going on at your farm! Keep up the good work. I'm a big sheep fan as you know ;) Ya UA-cam is a whole other job, I only recommend people do it if they find out they enjoy really like the video making process.
Do what makes you happy. I'm an early subscriber. If I remember correctly I found your channel through Curtis Stone. I still go back and watch some of your old videos for info I forgot, that happens at 57. There's a wealth of information in those old videos for any of you new people reading this. I need to get into the Korean Natural Farming more. Thank you and take care.
Praying for ya! Blessings from Rebuilt Ruins Ministries :) Thanks for all the cool info throughout the years. Been watching your videos since you were back here in San Diego.
Glad you're finding renewed passion. Sometimes, starting over with the wisdom of the years, is all one needs. But you seem to have a lot of stuff coming down the pipe so Yey!
I agree completely with you regarding the Black Copper Marans! They are my current favorites as well. So sweet and beautiful eggs! I live in NE TN and would love to participate in the upcoming Korean Natural Farming Class - very exciting! Glad to see you back on YT and looking forward to your upcoming content 😃
Please keep making content. I’ve learned so much from you. I appreciate your candidness and evidence-based approach to farming and gardening. I really appreciate when you share failures, or experiments that didn’t work as expected. I love content that demonstrates processes that improve efficiency. Please keep posting on your KNF and JADAM results. You’ve been one of my main urban homesteading permaculture teachers.
You probably wont see this comment but i enjoy just seeing the process how youve grown i seen you move from a small homestead to your dream and i thank you for helping me get through hard times i want you to know we are proud of you and i appreciate all that you've done
Steven, I really appreciate you sharing your current feelings towards UA-cam and making content. As someone who hasn’t even come close to the success you have or have done it as long as you, I totally get the burn out. Sometimes I forget my “why” as to why I want to build something of a community on my channel, it’s such a grind trying to figure it all out and make good videos. But then I remember I also homeschool my two kids and they are my number one priority to raise children that are intelligent enough to think for themselves and not let the tv do it for them. I’m still trying to figure out a way to make an income online to supplement our family. Anyway, always enjoy your videos and will definitely be waiting updates for your chicken course. Whatever kind of content you want to make I’ll be there for it man I like the laid back vibe and honesty on your channel, you’ve taught me a lot over the years.
Thanks for your encouragement. I feel you it is not easy to make content and especially while doing really important time intensive things like raising your kids! Great job going the homeschool route!
You are a blessing and inspiration to so many of us! Thank you for the work you do. Will pray for you. God willing we'll be in TN later this year. Hope to meet you some time. 😎👊🏼
Love your channel and you introduced me to the KNF which I'm definitely going to be doing. Prayers to your possible changes and I hope ultimately it makes you happy.
I’m SO glad you never gave up, like we’ve been tempted to. It’s exhausting (we home-learn, homestead our 5, growing MUCH of our own food), passion quenching, fun robbing much of the time. We’re a bit intense because we’ve become solely reliant on God these past couple years (no jobs/inputs) and that can be stretching. You’re a pure joy to glean from. Thanks for your big heart!! Hugs from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦
I’m really excited to hear that you’re finding yourself back to youtube. Looking forward to learning more about gardening, and if you choose to do so, hearing your perspective on events as they happen. That said, I understand if you don’t. Similar to you, I left CA for TN a couple years ago. Bought my first home last year, semi-rural, commute an hour each way for work, started gardening, and preparing in other ways. I don’t normally comment, but I’m sure it’s good for you to know that many of us out here share the same mindset, similar experiences and concerns. Many of your videos have been very cathartic as I made some big life changes. So thank you. No pressure, but I hope your time spent on creating youtube content is as rewarding for you as watching it has been for many of us. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for taking the time to encourage me it means a lot. Good for you making all those big changes and going for it, it's not easy but it's so fulfilling to take more responsibility over how we live and the food we eat.
Happy New Year 😊 Farm life loss is part of it but still sad🥲 That’s a wonderful trick with Salt in a bottle to reduce freezing😁 Watch the Ram😁 Lamb so cute❤🇦🇺
Hey buddy! I had a feeling that could have been the case of why we haven't seen much from you lately. I got into the same funk over the last couple years and just got reinvigorated to make another go out of it too! I'll message you to chat more. Great to see you back bro!
I enjoy watching the tours and appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experiences. Planning to bring in Katadins this spring, so am soaking up the info!!
I raise chickens for eggs and thought about meat chickens. So, went to take a class on how to slaughter and clean. Found out no could do everything except kill the birds! I've been watching your videos since you were in San Diego, and it's really a joy to see your successes. Learned a lot from you. Big thanks!
Life is never a straight-line journey. As long as you stay true to yourself, the twists and turns and surprises will absolutely delight and make you even better. Wishing you a great new year !!!
Thanks Darell. Very true, I wasn't ready for a slump, it never happened to me before but I'm glad to be coming out of it to hopefully be better than ever like you said.
Such hard work and you're doing an amazing job as always. I feel your sadness sorry about the lamb that didn't make it. Sending you positive thoughts and prayers for whatever else you're dealing with in this season 🙏. I've learned tons from you and I'm grateful for this channel whatever you choose to do I know will be best for you and your family but I just want to say thank you now❤
I have watched you since your years in San Diego. You have accomplished so so much! It is not visible to you but we see all the hard work and learning. Of course you would be frustrated about the media part of your work. However, you would not have anything meaningful for us if your focus is just the you tube. You are real and honest in your work and way of life. If you are happy, it will spill into your posts. Good luck and will pray for you and your family!
Hey, I'm also an introvert so definitely get wanting a break. I loved your "start seeds with me" live streams, even if it's not live it's great to motivate us to start seeds. Also now that you have more space I'm curious if you still soil block or have another method that is more bulk friendly.
The last 2 seasons I've done mostly direct seed with my seeder or by hand in my above ground beds. Then air pruning trays for toms and cucs that I pot up later. I still love soil blocks though!
I really appreciate your vids... microscope vids would be great! I have chickens and pigs, need to get better at diagnosing bacterial probs with my animals. I remember first seeing your vids when you were leasing the house in Cali. It's amazing to see how self-sufficent you have become. Your appreciated.
Always love your videos. I unsubscribed for awhile because I can't relate to someone with so much land. I am in Las Vegas, NV. Its a totally different growing zone here and I have a lot of .15 acre, most of which is house. So I started watching channels with people using tiny spaces for micro homesteading. But then I realized you still have so much to teach regardless. I've subscribed again. Glad to be back. I do know the Lord. I will pray that you are following God's will with your life & channel. I'd love to live back East but my husband loves it here. He absolutely does not want chickens which I have raised in the past but the July-September heat is very hard on them. Hopefully, someday, I can make it possible. I used to farm on 5 acres with a 1 acre garden. So I do miss all this. Keep sharing your knowledge, mistakes and successes. I keep learning from you
I have been really struggling to want to keep going with UA-cam because we have been on UA-cam sharing our off-grid experience for years and trying to put out decent content, and then I watch as our channel literally creeps ahead, while other homesteaders start and in a year they surpass us. You start to wonder if you are just not interesting, if you should even still bother to document your journey? I didn't start out for the purpose of making money, my goal was to help people move from the city to the country and know how to garden, live off-grid, build a log cabin etc. but along the way as you see other channels fly past it's hard to keep going. I appreciate your content and your journey, thanks for sharing the real side of things.
You're making a difference and changing lives by equipping people with life changing skills that's going to save them in the future! Don't waist you time on what people think about you. You're doing great 👍 👌 👏 Praise God for people like you
@@NaturesAlwaysRighthonestly, your content is solid. The most beautiful part of this is the fact these videos will outlive us all. Your videos could save someone’s life in 200 years. You’re creating an archive for the future. Keep it up. We are rooting for you. 😊
Greetings from afar. Good to see you pop back into our youtube feed. We keep getting dumped from our subscribed channels. A query, here in NZ we have lambing in early spring. So grass is growing stronger. When were your one's dropped? Looks like winter time if recent, seems counter to normal practice here. Farmers here only run into problems with temperature for lambs if they push the mating too far back trying to have bigger carcasses for Christmas (summer here). Even then that's more a problem in our high country and southern latitudes with late snow etc.
You have been my #1 resource for everything farming. You’ve helped me level up like non-other. Thank you brother and God bless you. I am really enjoying your content now that you have moved as well. #coldclimate
I'm often times going back to your old videos. I'm in BedStuy Brooklyn. I have a 15x25 foot space to grow in. I'm interested generally in everything you are doing. Any gardening content is always a help. I noticed you ween't posting a lot but figured you were busy yourself learning new things and would come back at some point to teach what you've learned. Your channel is more important than you know. I think you are at the beginning of something that hasn't exploded yet but little by little getting back to the land Little by little growing your own vegetables. I'm in the city and using a 4x16 space grew over 100lbs of vegetables last year with minimal effort using no till. Your work and Charles Dowding James Prigioni and all the other youtubers work is very important. I'm inspiring people in my neighborhood to start growing and had neighbors actually buy vegetables from me. They ask. How did you learn to do this. I'm like youtube. Whatever you blog about I follow even if it's not gardening related. You got me off using cholirnated water. Taught me how to make compost tea. You taught me how to make soil potting mix. You got me using windstrip trays.
That's so great you are inspiring others! I learned by doing, started a market garden with my friend 13 years ago and learned trial by fire and reading books. There weren't youtube channels talking about these subjects back then like their is now. I still have a lot more to teach that's for sure I've learned an insane more about farming and raising animals since living in TN.
Exactly what you described about feeling like your content isn't right etc is the same feelings 8 have been having towards getting started. I'm not even trying to make money from UA-cam I just genuinely want to educate people in my field & give clarity to a lot of bad & bogus business\tax\accounting & financial advice.
Was that maybe 2 cups of the “KNF maintenance formula” into a 20 gallons of water ? Every watering ? Or occasional on the KNF inputs for animal water? Thanks
I fell asleep watching Doug & Stacy & woke up watching you for the first time. It was your 2022 farm tour, about four hours long. I hung on about every word. Amazed how intellectually mature you are at such a young age and kept thinking, if only my kids (about your age) would see this and realize the truth. I subscribed and watched your last couple vids to make sure you hadn't changed your POV on much. Please continue carrying the torch for your generation. They no longer value the wisdom of their elders. Satan and the woke folk have chipped away at them in the name of social acceptance. They need somebody their age to mentor them. Love God. Keep the faith. Tell the truth. Fear no man. Thank you for standing up to do right.
Make of this what you will. Matthew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
I love that you asked for prayer! Praying for you right now that the Lord open doors for you and close the ones that he does not want you walking through. That He clearly light the path he wants you to take and that your desires line up with His will for your life. In Jesus name Amen!
I've lost several of my favorite channels - burnout - when youtube becomes a job burnout comes along - good luck - don't put pressure on youself - only do videos on what YOU like - God Bless.
Great advice. Ya the burnout is for real. It's a dream job but at the same time it's a strange job where what you put in doesn't equal what you get out and very mentally demanding. But very thankful I have the opportunity have no plans to give up.
I’m looking forward to more of your videos! It’s inspiring to me. I want to get land and have my own homestead/small farm. From your neighbor in Chattanooga!
I think a lot of us are feeling similarly even those of us who are not on YT. Prayers for clarity for all of us. May God bless your work and may it be fruitful.
I know the feeling you're having man. I think reanalyzing is a good thing. Just think about that saying, if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. Find what you love and just share that. Wish I could see you. Take care.
I like the type of content where you just film yourself doing a project and it’s the sound of your environment and you talk a bit every now and then to fill us in what you’re doing. Similar to how the people who make their own log cabins do it. I think that would be cool to see you do animal work in that style. Or you could do “day on the farm” type videos where you show us what you do on a specific day. As a vegetarian I find it very fascinating what you do with the animals and raising them and the work you put in to them. You’ve come a long way from the backyard of that house in California!
Hey Steven, just do what you love to do! It's your authenticity that makes you stand out and what makes people watch your videos. Take ypur time to reconnect and reflect. If there are things going on in our lives we sometimes start projecting doubt into other areas of our life, our passions and gifts. Greetings from Belgium!
Much love from Ontario, Canada. I'm fairly new to your channel and also new to gardening/homesteading and wanting to learn to grow some of my own nutrient dense food in my backyard. I currently have the opportunity to help a family on their 10 acre homestead with growing crops and I'd love to learn how to raise chickens naturally and help implement the practices with their flock. I'm aware there is a lot to learn but it all starts with small steps and learning from people who are doing it. God bless!
I live not far from Chattanooga, where we are just starting to thaw out! I would be interested in the course you plan to teach here on Korean Natural Farming. I'm also interested in learning something about raising chickens more naturally. I just hatched a few in the incubator from my flock of hens. Praying for you, brother. The Lord direct your path.
I have missed your videos. I am still trying to grasp KNF and the different things you make. I even bought the books but seeing it done helps me more. It's okay to repeat topics sometimes especially when they are more unfamiliar and difficult. Thank you and you have my prayers.
This spring I'm going to try and do more KNF and JADAM. They do take a long time and practice to fully grasp, I'll try to break it down the best I can for everyone. Thanks for your prayers!

I am happy you are back
You're making a difference and changing lives by equipping people with life changing skills that's going to save them in the future! Don't waist you time on what people think about you. You're doing great 👍 👌 👏 Praise God for people like you
Thank you for encouraging me!
Enojy all your content, looking forward to anything else you put out.
I love your channel!
Welcome back.
I still have a lot more to teach that's for sure I've learned an insane more about farming and raising animals since living in TN.
we used basic H when I was a kid - the only thing that would take sap off our hands from adventuring in the trees.
Exactly what you described about feeling like your content isn't right etc is the same feelings 8 have been having towards getting started. I'm not even trying to make money from UA-cam I just genuinely want to educate people in my field & give clarity to a lot of bad & bogus business\tax\accounting & financial advice.
God bless.
Was that maybe 2 cups of the “KNF maintenance formula” into a 20 gallons of water ? Every watering ? Or occasional on the KNF inputs for animal water? Thanks
Never never turn your back on a Ram 🐏
Truth! I usually watch him like a hawk but my two new baby lambs I was moving back to mama distracted me haha
👊
Do you put Shaklee H in your chicken’s water as well? I’d like to know that ratio.
I tried to make lab; but it didn’t turn out right.
1Tbsp per 5gal of water for any animal. I don't use it for my chickens though I don't find they need it.
Make of this what you will.
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter by the narrow gate.
Thank you Amber for your prayer I need it! God bless you.
Thanks for the info! I’ve considered getting sheep. What type do you have? I prefer not getting ones for wool. Ty!!
Ya go hair sheep for sure. I have Katahdin and St. Croix, best for management and parasite resistance.
@@NaturesAlwaysRightok thank you! I want to try and make an income with sheep and goats. Do you sell better at farm auctions or online? Thanks again!
Thanks for the content dude! looking forward to the chicken videos. Keep Growing, Keep Farming! good vibes
Thank you for the information, you're so right about the UA-cam Journey
Could we see more logging trees or harvesting fruit trees?
Thank you for the video. You are doing great things with the farm. Whatever you create we know it will be good.
Appreciate the kind words!
I think you really help people so I hope you don't give up. I only do a little gardening but I still enjoy your videos 😊
Appreciate all of your videos! Have learned more from you than any other channels. Glad you decided to keep it up!!
Thanks Jake that means a lot.
Keep it up bro!
Good to hear you will be teaching knf ❤
Me too I'm excited. Thank you for being my teacher!
I know the feeling you're having man. I think reanalyzing is a good thing. Just think about that saying, if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. Find what you love and just share that. Wish I could see you. Take care.
Congratulations on the new babies, I live vicariously threw watching you and your videos. I don't have property to live this lifestyle but if I did.
Thanks, I'm glad you can get a taste of the experience through my videos!
Great genuine video. Thanks for sharing
It’s all gonna work out. You’re an amazing person sir. PS I’ve been tuning in to you for a couple of years now..
Thanks for coming along this journey with me!
Steven! Lifting you and your family up in prayer! You've inspired us so much - KEEP GOING!
Keep posting videos they are very informative.
Thank you for your vulnerability, honesty and ALWAYS sharing your work and knowledge.
You're the only homesteading channel I still watch. Keep going brother, and do what you love. I know I for one, will love it.
You are really good with vegetables and I would love to see more content about growing them efficiently for market and home use.
This spring I'll get back on it!
God bless!
Sounds like a great opportunity. No better way than to jump in and start learning hands on! It's a step by step journey.
God bless you thank you for your prayers. Hope to see you at a class sometime.
14 babies! Such a fun time but also stressful making sure all the cuties are healthy and bonded
💗 i have followed for awhile and just wanted you to know i appreciate you
Thank you Jennifer :)
I'll pray for you Steven. Hang in there Bro! I really enjoy your stuff. Been watching for several years. Much Love from Nikiski, Alaska.
