This is my personal opinion as a Korean person, on why Oli London's cultural appropriation and misinformation about Korean and Asian culture, can be very damaging. And I have my doubts on whether he genuinely loves BTS and Jimin or if he just uses them for clout and fame.

I don't think Jimin and Bighit are actually aware of Oli London. They might be but want to avoid confronting him, to prevent any more obsession towards Jimin to grow in Oli. I don't know, but I just think they dont know who Oli is in general; they are too busy to be on their phones for very long anyways.
I don't think he's interested in BTS, but he wants to shine in their glare. He spent so much money on operations to make him look like Jimin, but he never went to a concert. If I were such a big fan of the artist, I would support him in such a way if I had so much money. He could also invest in learning the language, but he preferred to destroy his face. If Jimin knows about him, and I suspect he does, then he must be afraid of him. I would also be afraid of such a psychopath. Such people can be very dangerous.

Being a fan of an idol is just like being a fan of an anime character. The moment you decided to become a fan you should know what you are signing up for, you are a fan who lives in earth and your idols lives in the sun (just an example don't bombard me with scientific etc like "people can't live in the sun" and whatnot). It is the essence of being a fan, to be able to idolize, support and love someone from afar.
I think true army's wouldn't do that, even the army's want to marry bts but they know they can't, so they didn't marry a cardboard like Oli london does, and I know true army's won't gone too far like him.

I feel some second hand embarrassment when oli is trying to speak korean as if he is so good at it. i always feel like he buts a bad light on kpop fans like me. i started learning korean a while ago because kpop and the korean culture got me fascinated . and learning korean is such hard work but I love it. oli claims to be korean and to speak korean so well ... but i get the feeling as if he isnt really interested in the language and culture... 2013 he went to korea because he started loving kpop... thats been almost 8 years... his korean reallly dont sound like he was already learning it for 8 years..... maybe if he wants to be more "korean" he should have spend some oney on language courses instead of plastic surgery. i think korean people would accept him more then
