I APPRECIATE your reminder to be safe! But I LOVE that you told folks to take their trash out. That's my favorite part I've seen now for the 2nd time. Your desire to keep wilderness clean and free from trash is worthy of praise Sir! Pack in/Pack out is an old backpacking rule that I fear has been forgotten these days. I'm an avid hiker/backpacker and I find more and more I'm seeing garbage and gear just left behind and many times deeper into the backcountry than I've ever seen in the past. It seems like people don't care if they see garbage in the wild or maybe they think someone will come along after them and clean up their mess, IDK . I wanted you to know your efforts are commendable and I also pack out additional trash when i am able. Great exploring I've watched around 10 of these waterfall vids and they're great. I subscribed Great Job Jesse!
Hey thanks for sharing this awesome video. I lived for the entire summer as a kid... we were homeless...I was 10 years old... I had the time of my life.
Was up there for a few days at the end of June 2019, all river access from Wishon road was closed by order of Tulare Co SO with a $5000 fine if they catch you down there. Campgrounds were pretty empty. There were probably 4 or 5 groups that came and went while we were there. The bugs were really thick so bring your mosquito / fly protection. Call Ranger station before coming up to check on river access.
you need to check out the secret waterslide 50 min hike to teyana lake waterslide in upper Yosemite ... that one is amazing ... but ill defiantly check this out
I used to go camping there with buddies like 20 years ago. Great slide and cliff jumping spots back then. Followed the river a bit and found another cool slide!
I was fortunate enough to live in Camp Nelson and then down in Porterville for six years, in the early 1980's. It was paradise. I recognize every waterfall and swimming place on this film. I have visited my old friends, human and tree, regularly since leaving in 1986. I've seen the ravages of humans and climate change in just that short period of time. More people need to know about the Pine Bark Beetle and what it's done to the remaining conifer forests in Western North America. All human climate driven.
@@JesseStLouis Yes. I've lived in Santa Barbara after leaving the Valley, and have had to evacuate so many times. I remember when we used to half seriously complain about all the rain in the winters here. No more.
I grew up in Camp Nelson, just up the road a ways from the Wishon Slides. Me and my buddies damn near lived on the river in the summer - good times! It used to be pristine when only locals knew about it and the other swimming holes on the Tule River, but unfortunately the word got out and now the place is thrashed. Glad I got to enjoy it when I did. BTW, it’s pronounced wish-on, with a short o, not a long o.
Isn’t it amazing that within your lifetime you knew a spot that was almost untouched and is now so popular it can’t keep up. I grew up in New Zealand and even in my 20 years of being alive I’ve seen my small coastal town turn in to a playground for the rich and market in town become a tourist destination
Man bro I went last week I been wanting to try that slide and I chickend out when I got to the top but I'ma try it soon jus wish I seen some one do it first😁
Awesome video! I love going there! For newcomers I advise you leave nothing in your car. Cars get broken into all the time. You are going to want a good pair of hiking boots or be a human goat lol. The trail down to wishon slides is steep and slippery. Please do not bring glass, and treat these spots with respect! BTW it's pronounced wish-on 🤙🤙🤙
Hello Jesse, Thanks for sharing this cool video! May I ask the route getting to this Tule River water slide? BTW, compared with Alder Creek water slide, which spot you'd recommend since we only have 1 day exploring the park? Thank you!
They are in very different areas a long drive apart. It really depends on where you'll be. Tule is closer to the main park area. Alder Creek is a deeper drive in the National Forest but a flatter walk to get to
@@JesseStLouis thanks for a prompt reply. I checked the maps and it seems that both spots can be accessed from HWY 190. I'm just wondering if there's any sign to look for regarding the Tule waterside since it's not showing on Google Maps, while the Alder Creek water slide is marked on Google Maps. Thanks again!
I went with good shoes but my husband didn't he was slipping everywhere. So definitely need shoes with good grip. We also noticed the trash. Sad people wanna trash the place they went to enjoy. Makes no sense. Anyway t's a beautiful & fun place for sure 💙 I can't wait to go back.
Humberto Cortes going tour springville ca highway 190 . Follow the road Once Up there you will find a lot of water holes down that river from the side of the road . But to get to the water slide you will find a small road to the left called wishin drive
Your video inspired me to check this place out. That slide was “awesome” in your voice** I was just there 6/29/20 but I’m sadden how the place looked 😔 trash everywhere and graffiti 😡 such a beautiful place sad but I think it’s just gonna get worst FYI ran into a couple of ppl who all watches your videos 🤘🏾 Good work
Did you guys take any garbage with you? Remember that we all have to be positive examples for each other. When other people see us cleaning up, they will be encouraged to do it as well. Thanks for watching! 🤙
Hi Jesse ! I love your videos ! Love that you encourage ppl to clean up and keep our natural parks enjoyable . I’ve visited many locations up there but have never been to tule river . I’m going up next week and have mixed directions . Did you park at the location marked on google maps as “ tule river cliff jumping “ ? Since it’s a bit far I don’t want to go and not find it . Thanks so much ! We’re taking our daughters 11 and 15 and I’m wondering if the hike might be too hard for them . We have good quality hiking shoes and bouldering shoes as well .
Was looking for places to visit in Sequoia and came across your videos! thank you Jesse for this!! now I'm going down a binging blackhole on your channel haha. I'm trying to find the link for the live stream about the waterslide location, but does anybody know where it is? or the location?
Hello jesse i came a cross with your channel will you be so kind and tell me where is the location of this slide i just moved to a city close to sequoia national forest thank you
So glad to gear that! I have been to Zion and I have a few videos up on my channel but they were early on in my UA-cam career so don't judge them too harshly, lol.

Yeah I've seen it devastating forests from Colorado to Oregon. The increase in dead trees also increases the risk of wildfires in those areas as well.

Or down the road
How can i get there bro ???

Maybe everyone who sees it will be inspired to preserve and protect nature, join the Sierra Club and become better stewards of the Earth?
