We have the exact same suspension setup except those SLR tie rods. I'm gonna have to check those out. One thing I did differently than you was relocate the battery to the rear tub with a lingenfelter relocation kit instead of doing a sub. Also went with Nitto Nt01's 275F/305R. Very clean, simple, yet effective setup. I know it handles great👍
@@Beezy_Builds Stock spring rates for now. I'm planning to go coilovers pretty soon so didn't bother with a aftermarket leaf. Yeah these cars handle so much better than stock with the J'Connell sways, bilstien sports, and a grippy tire. Not sure what the bilstien sports are going for now but back when I bought them they were pretty cheap and a great bang for the buck mod. It's a great setup man just thought it was funny it was the same as mine. I'd recommend the Nt01's to you if you want to get even faster. I imagine the Federal 595 Pro's are very similar to the nitto Nt05's with the 200 tread wear. I liked the Nt05's when i ran them they were pretty grippy but they did give out under very hard cornering but in a nice predictable way. The Nt01's though are just ridiculous the have SO MUCH grip you can really get on em hard. They do wear pretty quick though, you get about 3 years out the fronts and only 1 year out the rears. I'd say it's worth it though for sure.
I’ll be doing speed engineering also with stock titanium also, BTR stage 2 cam. I’ll have a video clip up in the spring when she’s on the road. The blue c5z. That blue is intoxicating 🤤
@@Beezy_Builds yessir! She’s up and rippin! She wants to play with bikes but I gotta rein her in a bit. She gets happy around other toys now. Doing coil overs this weekend. 😁 waiting for front bushings to show up now. I’ve got an idle video on my page if you want to check it out. 😁
I’m absolutely obsessed with what you’ve done to this car. I actually wouldn’t even hesitate to say that something similar to this would be my dream build! I absolutely love this platform, can’t wait to check out more of your videos and subscribe to the channel!
I just love the direction you've gone with the car. Definately my type of tuning, also into JDM but love vettes and it's been difficult to find inspiration. Great car, great channel. Subscribed!
That's a sick ride Brax! I enjoyed learning. I'm just starting my C5 journey. Thanks for explaining things simply and straight forward. I've finally got the car straight stock, had to track down a TCM module, steering angle sensor, being installed now, hopefully it solves the problems with codes being thrown and derating. Might need an accelerator sensor also. All used. I'll check out the rest of your videos to see where I go from here. Thanks!
@@Beezy_Builds Love your vids, dude. I was in Vilseck as 7ATC Youth of the Chapel Coordinator in the 90's, some of the BEST years of my life. Retired now and got a 2000 Millenium Yellow sweetheart, LOVE your channel, I'm installing my LMC5 module today. Keep up the great work, Subscribed!
Looking good buddy,I've watched you do so much work on your vette . Your videos have also helped me with what parts to get for mine....keep it up and keep the video's coming my friend.
I appreciate the support Richard 👍🏽, honestly I've had a blast doing it, but I'll keep them coming don't hesitate to hit me up if you have any questions
Sounds like a plan I actually have some changes coming to both wheels and suspension in the near futures so be on the look out, but if you have any questions about myset up dont hesistate to hit me up
How does it do with the square set up in the front? Mine rubs on full lock turns with the stock 17s up front so I can only imagine that being even worse with your setup. That being said, I'm also sure it's much easier for you to shop for tires lol.
I run rack limiters so not to bad i got them for slr speed, I need to add one more to both sides then there will be zero rubbing at all im supper stoked I plan to go to a 315 square setup
Thanks a TON for your service! You are doing great. Enjoying the videos. Hope to learn from you.... Considering a new hood for my c6. You gave good reasons to get a new hood. Making me want to change mine... ??? I dont track. So is it waste to change hood?
Thanks for the support! did you take a look at the trackspec motorsport hood vents for the c6? they look great, and honestly if you want to change your hood why not haha
@@Beezy_Builds but they flash red not amber? On your HU test you'll definitely have an issue man, need to be amber indicator lights. Look cool tho but that's the reason I've not bought any as I'm in the UK, if police saw them they would pull me over as not legal
Dude I have a sub kit like that but it rattles like crazy. I even tried screwing it into the fiberglass. I believe it's the wooden frame, and I have the same one as you, any idea how to fix it? Also your link for the mods is broken here's a picture i.imgur.com/2Pjcj5R.png
Brother I have no clue mine does no vibrate to bad at all, maybe nutting and bolting it at 4 corners could help just make sure to use washers as a sandwitch plate so the fiberglass isnt cracked, look at one of my newer vids and try that link, I may need to redo it
how would you compare the miata to the corvette for fun factor. I also am coming from Miata's and am looking into getting a C5 Z06 but and a bit concerned it will feel very big and boring. Appreciate any insight you can give. Love the car!
3.9 second 0-60 does not get boring. This car is light weight and has great handling... Typically the car is more capable than most drivers. If you don't known what you're doing, the car can handle like shit, but in the right hands it'll rip around any track at blistering speeds. (1g of lateral grip from the factory) Which aint bad for an early 2000s production V8. Add some mods and you have a track monster.
@mark Laird I totally understand that actually just reviewed a NA miata and it reminded me what I loved about them so much, honestly in stock for the c5 chassis leaves alot to be desired, sure its fast but its nor engaging to drive spiritley, the shifter, steering wheel, steering feel, and seat sucks and makes it feel very blunt, it felt like I was riding on top of it a not connected, luckily by changing those things I have been able to get the feel I wanted from the car and im happy with it, and can honestly say it feels like a big fast miata now. If you have the cash go modify it go for it, if you dont you may be unhappy with it in stock form. Brakes need to be addressed, reliability mods have to be done, suspension etc. Luckily I have videos on most of the stuff, and my next video coming out tuesday will detail how much it cost to build my car
Hey Brax, I bought the non halo modded LED tails and did the modification myself, very cheap and easy, it also felt very rewarding. The only downside is that it is time consuming. check out YellowVette04 on UA-cam, he has a great tutorial on it. Thanks for the content and stay safe!
Thanks for putting me on game! I actually have done it since this video was shot, I used Yellowvette04s video as inspirtation to make my own video also, but I agree it felt good to do it for sure

how did you start the car without pressing the clutch in ??
I just wired the bottom clutch switch together pretty simple mod
I have a red 2002 z06 with a cammed ls3 swap. Have you considered doing racing aluminum pedals? For your gas pedal and dead pedal
Actually was thinking about it do you have any you recommend? And nice I know that added displacement of the ls3 must feel great

How have you gone on with your led rear lights and the indicators? Don't you need the Amber resr indicators, but these will just flash red
This is how the north american cars came I know the euro cars are different but when I use the left signal both left lights just flash so it works out
