I have a 2004 Z06. I knew about the Competitive Driving Mode, but not just pushing the button once to turn off traction control AND active handling. Good to know.
Got a 00 model and was wondering how to get comp mode on! Spot on mate! I will give it a go! :) hopefully I dont end up hitting a tree like I almost did with no traction on xD
All depends on what you're trying to do the car. Example: there are different tires I would recommend based on if the car is a Daily driver or Daily and track car or just dedicated track car.
I have an issue with a c6 6.0 corvette ls2 manual transmission. It keep showing SHIFT TO REVERSE even if it's already in reverse. It drain the battery. Put a new battery in and it won't start NO CRANK and it locked the steering column
So wait what does competitive driving mode turn off if one regular press turns basically all aids on this vehicle except for like ABS or power steering and things of that nature
One regular press will turn off all the band aids - meaning traction control and stability control (don't believe it turns abs off but I could be wrong). Competitive driving mode still has all of these features on, but allows the car more leeway before the aids kick in. For example, with competitive driving mode, you will see the car allows you to oversteer a bit, or kick out the rear a bit more in tight corners. If you don't have track or real racing experience, I'd highly reccomend you do not turn off all these aids, as these cars are quite a handful if you don't know how to control them. If you arent as experienced or are new to driving aggressively in the car, it is well worth it to dabble on competitive driving mode for a while before you consider turning off all of the driver aids, if you are even considering such a thing for types of driving other than burnouts or doughnuts. Stay humble, and respect the car. The aids are there for a reason. I know I wish I was more careful when I first bought mine.
Thank you! Got a '98 and you told it in 2 minutes instead of 20. Great work!
Thank you! I appreciate the comment!
Thank you for the simple, clear explanation
Of course! Thanks for your comment! Way too many people on youtube dragging things out.

Thank you my brother
Thank you!
You Explained it "RIGHT" - other youtube videos got the Comp Mode wrong !
Thank you! I appreciate the comment
That shifter looks identical to one I tried out and really liked. Where did you get it from? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!
I love it! It came with the car so sorry I'm not sure!

Thank you! Be careful on the drive! But as always, make sure you enjoy your car.
What are the best tires to use

thats very strange issue!
Does this apply to the base c5 automatic or only the z06?
it all just depends if the vehicle came with active handling or not! Does not need to be a Z06.
Why does my dads corvette doens’t have a ride control button?
Depends on generation! Some dont come with it!
I have an 04 c5 I didn’t feel any difference in competitive driving mode
You weren't cornering hard enough. Once you lose control a bit it'll course correct.
So wait what does competitive driving mode turn off if one regular press turns basically all aids on this vehicle except for like ABS or power steering and things of that nature
no its the handling of the car. The car behaves completely different when traction is off.
