Great information in this video . A long time ago at a track called " Moe's karting world " I had been racing the season on a Slack SP7 and I was given the chance to run an older Phoenix 1 1/8 inch chassis . The Phoenix was very forgiving and easy to drive but just seemed slower through and off the corners . I was a medium weight at that time .
I had an older coyote 1 1/8 that was really fast with a kt100 lighter engine on it. But definitely didn’t like the bigger 125cc sudam power as it became erratic
My fat ass drove a Laser AV-4 1 3/8 tube chassis in 2007. Weghting in at 440 lbs. with a stock flathead, the kart would build speed after a long green flag run. Was a good chassis.
this info is wrong!! minicon or a small tube UMax rival are 1.125 tubes and are small tube chassis, most karts Premier, Slack, Charger hybrid have both .083 and .095 tubes in the same chassis.. people like small tube karts for open and limited karts to keep them locked down. many many races have been won on Charger Prodigy Cadet (.083 Chassis) vs standard Prodigy (.095) in the super heavy class
I’m well aware of the minicon and others using 1 -1/8 tubing. The standard rival utilizes some 1 -1/8 tube but the main rails are 1.25 (I’ve owned one). They would be designated 1 1/8” having different motor mounts if most of the chassis was small tubing. And I also meantime that different cross bars and tubing thicknesses can be used in the same chassis. Did you watch the whole video? And I’ve been a UAS racer for most of my racing career and can tell you I’d take a .095 over a .083 or 1-1/8 chassis any day.

Hope you get to feeling better soon! I've been under the weather as well. Happy Thanksgiving! 👍
Thanks. Appreciate it.
I had a uas kart it was a prowler chassis with a crf 450. Thing worked great for the heavy 450.
Absolutely
Would “Thick” and “Thin” tube chassis be better terminology? Since the outside diameter doesn’t change only the thickness.
It would. But more complex to understood maybe?
my seraph is my first big tube chassis and i was under the assumption it would be stiff but its the softest chassis i own
Probably in the design I’d guess. Interesting
⁰083😅😅
@@billsalisbury5581 from what i was told when i purchase is it was clipped twice in its life. That's the reason for calling it large tube.
@@billsalisbury5581 Just pulled the rear bumper but its for sure 95
Can you do a video on Mini Gears
I’d love too. Have to do some research and speak with others about it. I don’t own any so it’s hard for me to give accurate feedback.

Nice! It’s all about what works for you.
I have the prowler chassis you speak of.
Raced one clean in FL at Dirt Devils. Did pretty well with it.

I'm brand new, but I wont be hanging out here. Screaming out hello is stupid. So is asking for likes & subs before the video has played.
Cool man. Later.
