Dana this is why I love your content. I love how u demonstrate while breaking everything down for us.
Is that the only reason? 🙄🙄
Yes. Exactly well balanced. Awesome pointers and great tips Dana
Enjoyed it as always. Love the hands on approach and love watching you show us the way you do things. Good job.
I've got a machine similar to this, but with a few additions that make it easy, and a cool trick at the end. It's made by Snap-on, years ago, not available from them now. It looks the same - red base, two vertical bars, two ball bearings on the top of each tube, cross "axle" with cones and a way to snug it all together, like yours. Your idea of thinking about the process in quarters is great way to describe it. So, let's say you're at that same point of turning the wheel and letting it settle, and have established the heavy part of the wheel is now at the bottom. On my tool, you now install a bar on the end of the axle, and position the bar vertically. On the bar, on the "light" side of the wheel, is a weight that can be slid away from the heavy side of the wheel in measured increments. You then do what you did here, turn the wheel 1/4 each way and see if the wheel stays stationary. If not, slide the weight away from the heavy side until the wheel sits still, then, look at the numbers on the bar and note the number where the weight is, say, three ounces. That means you need to put three ounces on the light side of the wheel opposite the heavy point. But then there is this last tricky thing, which, I have no idea why it works, but it REALLY works. There is a last piece of the tool which allows you put those three ounces NOT all in one spot opposite the heavy point, but spread out over 120°. So, one ounce directly opposite the heavy point of the wheel, and one ounce each 60° to the left and right of that first weight. For some reason I don't know, that little end thing is what make the wheels super smooth. I repair British sports cars (MG Triumph etc) here in the USA and this is the ONLY tool that correctly balances wire wheels, so it must work with bike wheels also. I'll bet you and Gary could make the extra pieces!

You made that look easy. I have used these balancers while working at my fathers VW shop. Not the fastest but can do a good job. Awesome video, thank you.
Really good video which taught me a couple of new things - and your balance of education and cheeky fun is spot on
They look balanced to me……..
💪😂👌
😂
I think you beat alot of people to that comment!!!
That was really cool! I’ve never seen it done that way. That’s for the incredible smile Dana! You are one gorgeous lady!
Awesome Dana!!! Whether you put your weight on top, or underneath, the ride will feel amazing!!!
I thought I was a man of the world, but I’ve never seen a manual balancer before! Cheers Dana, a cracking tutorial 👌 Came for the chassis, stayed for the tutorial 😆
You are a perfect balance of beauty smarts intelligence ❤️ truly a gift for UA-cam and there viewers ❤️
Excellent tutorial Dana. Spread the knowledge!
Even the audio from inside your top was perfectly balanced.
Great video Dana very informative about how to balance your wheels with that type of machine. Thanks for sharing stay safe Dana and Gary.
Audio was just fine!! Big thanks Dana!!
Video help me understand the concept and methodology. Thank you. Well explained.😊
I just did this job last week, wish I seen this video first... I wouldn't have changed how I did the task, but wish I'd seen this video first is all. You go girl!
Another great video you made it look really simple and doable thank you.
A fabulous demonstration with remarkable results. Brava dana another beauty. :)
Nice rubber for the CBR. Always a pleasure to have new rubber. 😎👍
Look pretty balanced to me . only 1 way to tell though , get'em in motion .
Thanks, great video. Lucky microphone LOL
Yes. Very much well balanced counterweights. A little heavy on the top but they will do nicely
Perfectly balanced from my point of view❤
Nice❤
you sure are good at your Motorcycle maintancement and restoration, always interesting to watch,
I like watching you work. Thank you
Something I have never taken the time to learn ., I would of guessed take the old off but I guess there ya go and it also allowed to see how to truly do it from beginning. Marvelous Tutorial ♥
If you're lucky, the wheel might balance straight away. But if it is out, take the weights off and start from scratch. You have nothing to lose and might save yourself time.

How I LOVE your profile. Wonderful job on the wheel.
Nice one Dana, keep up the good work.❤
Black dungarees look almost like the pink ones however for some reason the pink ones show more ❤❤❤❤😘😘😘😘😘😘
Another great and informative video Dana. It’s all about have the right equipment & you’ve definitely got the right equipment 😊
The sound quality was perfect, oh to have been that microphone 🤭
Thank you Dana :) Well done :) Always a pleasure to watch your mc content ;) V
You look perfectly balanced dana ❤❤❤
I think I love the black overalls as much as the pink!
I would love to see you in yellow. Yellow is my favorite and you are my favorite girl friend.
I'll tell ya there's not much you don't know about motorcycles.Your very knowledgeable indeed.im sure plenty of people learn from you I know I do.Thank You
Thank you
Nice one 😀👍👏and always especially nice in your dungarees 😊🖤
That's very important, even if it's a little out of whack say on the front , the fork seals will start to leak, well done!
No, they shouldn't cause that, but you will feel an imbalance at certain speeds when you ride. It can cause a wheel wobble.
yup, great balance hon,, my favorite outfit too... very nice vid
Great pointers 😍
Very well done Dana, glad to see you using the black weights as too many shops just stick whatever they have on the wheels. Have you ever looked at Dyna-Beads? They are used for dynamic balancing of the wheels as you ride.
No, I haven't
Nothing like having a lovely, balanced pair of wheels.
Nice video you are the best Dana.
Great tutorial. Spot on
I balance mine the same way , but I then spin the wheel a few times to see if it stops at the same spot. If it stops at different spots then I know that it’s in balance.
Excellent video thanks Dana ❤
Well Balanced and Love the Black outfit.
Superb demonstration . Thanks dana . And also thanks for trying a new colour of dungrie . I have also re painted my vespa scooter named SILVERADO in bright shiny silver paint . Please do see my scooter too
The balancing machine is cool.
Great video!! Enjoyed it. 🥰❤️
Had the wire wheels balanced on my GT6 in the same way, I thought the tyre guy had gone mad but that's what he used!
I think they are balanced out pretty well
ABSOLUTELY------> OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!. 🙂
Dana, Dana, Dana! , funny you don't like tutes . I enjoy your vids and the info you give out (your tutes are gr8) nice using black weights they blend in to the rim colour. As always love your stuff. Cheers
I'm glad I'm not your hubby! Those wheel balancers are pretty good. Had mine for years, always does what it's meant to. Great idea to use tape to start, thanks.
Coolest lady on the planet, I remember when Dana when she wore a skimpy white top and the straps kept falling off her shoulders best ever top girl x
Great demo.
I use balancing beads. My rear tire is 300mm wide. Too wide for a manual balancer, but. I have plans to modify it for the 300mm wheel.
Great video. Have you ever used ceramic beads inside the tire or tube? Dyna Beads or Counteract are two brands. I've used the beads in my 1912 Model T with wood spoke wheels. The wheel is always in perfect balance even as it wears!
No, I find this works well enough
Love watching Dana 😉
Great video. By the way l, lucky microphone !
Very informative thank you for a great video …… nice dungarees
Great video again. One question I have is to fully balance the tyre could you have put 12.5g on either side?
I don't know if it makes any noticeable damage if you put all the weight on one side or split it evenly. I think it looks nicer spread over both sides.
Watched this vid at Sturgis. You gotta come here!
Bless you, thanks for sharing
Great vid perfect balance
Perfectly balanced 👌🏻
Your audio was spot on
It was crazy, it didn't really notice. Maybe I should put it down there always 😂
They look a perfect pair 😊
Wow that was good I got it
Great explanation…🎉
Nicly done once again...cheers
Balance is achieved 🐾🌻
Great job...Thanks for sharing...
Ive seen other videos of balancing wheels and thought i understood it but yours was a lot clearer one question why did you not wait for the to stip etc befor you added the weights has other videos let it stop by its self cheers dana
They look like they're side by side to me🍒🍒
Good work.
Your girls are balanced too.
I think the magnitude between left n right was throwing them out of balance, lovely bit of kit though & i got something from it🌞😄 well ✅
I've heard worse audio without a set of,biballs in the way! Fascinating and I love the Minion poster.
Great video thank you X
Bella , muy Bella . Felicidades .
Just love to see you
With my headphones on I could hear your heartbeat! Lucky mic!
Just the one heart? 💓
@@bikerstuff2 HAHA! Or so I thought! If each of the twins has a heart I hope you live a double-long, double-healthy life! You are amazing!
So simple but it works
The microphone just went where so many of us want to go! 🤣🤣🤣
It soon reappeared when I unclipped the bib.
One in each hand Dana !
Dana darlin, just a quick safety tip. When you turn sideways, and lean forward, I notice your hair has a tendency to fall forward in front of your shoulder. Now, purely in the name of safety……..you might wanna tie that back so it can’t become entangled in any moving parts that might be in the vicinity. And also, so we can see whatever you may be working on with no chance of distraction. 😏
Brilliant 👍👍
Loved your older videos
I'm upset all my hard work making these doesn't impress you.
Your hair looks very good the way you are wearing it
I never seen anything like that before, pretty cool, does it only work for bike wheels 😊
You need a symmetric wheel, like most bike wheels.
I really miss you working on bikes like you use to.Is there anyway you can make your videos longer and more content repairing bikes like your work very much❤❤thx
Thank you. I don't have much more to do on the CBR, then I will start the rebuild. I hope you enjoy that part of it.
No Like Button to Push . Great Video
Aww, please wear the pink ones 😍
I do on Wednesdays
Brillant!
Audio sounded fine all the way over here in Canada. What was that about not fitting the Sprocket Carrier? Don't you need everything that is on the wheel when it is in motion? Nice job, that was interesting.
The sprocket carry is not fixed to the wheel, it sits in rubber bushes and moves semi freely.
@@bikerstuff2
Yes I have removed one one and that is how I remember it, but isn't it part of the balance of the wheel as a whole fixed item. So it because it is not firmly fixed and rigid?
You only balance the wheel and tyre not the sprocket carrier. It is too small and has a tiny radius so could not really affect the bike. Because it isn't solidly connected to the wheel you cannot include it when balancing.
Balanced tires are very important one thing you don't want is wobble or tread wear
Дана❤ Красотка 🥰🥰🥰 Комбинезон супер ❤❤❤😊
Whats this have to do with enjoying a clean beaver,im confused??????
All right, I’m at the end of YT, where old ladies with them hangers out are doing some tires stuff. I’ve seen it all now.
