Found your channel by chance and what a laugh!😆 At first I thought "what the hell?, a lady giving bike tips with her bits about to fall out" but carried on watching out of curiosity and what a refreshing change! A lady that's a laugh, really thorough and great examples and explanations. We need more ladies like you up Durham way. Great channel, keep it going.
You make everything look so easy. I would have spent an hour swearing! I love listening to the English accent and language. Fascinating! And as always thanks for that beautiful smile Dana!
Nice job Dana. I had to replace my front Master cylinder on my '80 CB 750c after an overnight leak unfortunately onto my gas tank. I was so pissed that the brake fluid ate thru the paint & left a couple of streaks down to the bare metal. Anyway i picked up a good used cylinder at a motorcycle scrapyard & my knees were back in the breeze in a flash. The bike is a beauty & i now consider it a battle scar & topic of conversation. But i admire how you rebuilt your cylinder so well. I guess i should've done the same with mine & kept the bike more original. Enjoy all your videos & especially love those sleeveless blouses you wear so well. Right on babe & keep up the good work!!
Boy I nearly stained a muscle in my back sitting up so fast when I heard you say “I’m going to strip…” Then you said “and rebuild the rear master cylinder”… Awww….😂😂
You make this job look so easy. I have a small cylinder hone for doing automotive wheel cylinders. Old cars are cast iron, might be to abrasive for the bike aluminum. Great video, wish you get to million subs, you deserve it.
I left a comment yesterday (Saturday) saying I preferred the one on a different site and it got removed by YT. I still prefer the one on rubble or 1st b as m
Very informative and interesting video, Dana. I presume that you sealed the inside of the cylinder before media blasting and then you used a small honing tool to remove any small pits in the bore before fitting it all back together?. The detritus and surface corrosion under the dust seal was quite an eye opener. When the piston popped out, did I detect a slight squeal?, Lawrence.
I blasted it with glass bead at a low pressure which does not impact on the aluminium. I then ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner to vibrate any grit out.
@bikerstuff2 Hi Dana, thanks for explaining that. I'm more old school, sand blasting and wire brush. At first, I thought that media blasting was a way of running down the newspapers!, and I've never used an ultrasonic bath, I make my own bubbles!.
@bikerstuff2 it might not be what your good at but I think you do a great job with the bikes and this channel you should be proud of yourself have and Hope you and Gary have a lovely weekend
Working on cars from the sixties and seventies, I did this job quite often. Attempted to do the same on my present car from 2001, only to learn they no longer sell rebuild parts. You have to by a new cylinder...
@@bikerstuff2 Green is supposed to be the standard colour. One should always use the correct tool for the job, most don't realise that phillips/pozi isn't the right screwdriver. Maybe show off your technical knowledge, and help others ?

Dana, the little smile that comes ! with the obvious double innuendo is just perfect 😂 absolutely loved it ❤❤

When you said you were going to strip, I dropped the remote
Made me jump
Your workshop is better organised than many. Boy that piston looked grotty.....
Great video Dana very informative rebuild on the rear brake cylinder. Thanks for sharing stay safe Dana and Gary.
You show us the simple yet important maintenance tips everyone could and should follow for safe and worry free cycling. Good for you.👍
I can watch your videos all day I learn something new and enjoy the view
Tell your friends, don't keep me a secret.
Great job, Dana 👏. You made that look easy. Good tip on the greese also. 😊
Good video and great step by step instructions 😀👍 well presented and lovely as always ❤️
Great job on that rebuild. That first piston looked really nasty when you first pulled off the boot.
Boy I nearly stained a muscle in my back sitting up so fast when I heard you say “I’m going to strip…”

Awww….😂😂
I must say, you certanly know what you are doing,,,great work everytime
A great job looked a bit fiddly to, you have more patience than me. And definitely best lubricate the shaft
Amazing dana a brilliant video and no accidental slips this time 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Nice job, Jack, RI, USA

Great video Dana. I'll definitely be thinking about your tips and pointers when I rebuild the brakes on my yz250
lubricating the shaft can make the head overflow if done properly
You're right, I've learned that there is a technique to prevent finishing early.
Good one Dana, gr8 tute. Interesting, Cheers
Good job! Nice shirt!! 🥰❤️

Great video dana has always like someone asked what paint was it and maybe next time show it in the oven and themp and duration etc thankyou thomas.
Painting isn't one of my skills, but I try my best.
I used VHT engine enamel that I baked for about 30 minutes at 80".

You have to by a new cylinder...
Yes, it's a shame we live in this throw away world. But it is cheaper for a garage to replace a part like that than to repair it.
We need 1,000,000 subs! That would be awesome.
as always an amazing instruction, in the interest of mechanical viewing have you considered a VR 360 DEGREE viewing. 😊
It's only Gary behind the camera that you would see, so you're not missing much. 🙂
What kind or type of black paint did you use for the painting. Great work
It was VHT engine enamel. I baked it to help the curing process and prevent the brake fluid softening it.
Such a lovely lady
Will you be putting anymore of the good stuff on rumble?
Yes
Dana , you look absolutely gorgeous as always. X
WISH my second name was cylinder ☹️☺️
Today I'm going to STRIP, what a let down, only joking by the way.
😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
blimey!!!
lubebricate the shaft does it avery time .😋
You're possibly using the wrong screw driver 😮 It should be a JIS (usually green handled)
You are both right and wrong. It is JIS and I used a JIS screwdriver. I have a blue set and a red set. I suspect it is you that has a green set.

I have covered JIS before and I usually mention it whenever I use one
Look for -
Know the difference between:
JIS and Phillips screwdrivers
What a shame you had to edit out the best bits! I see that Rumble is no more! Well - splendid anyway!
I hadn't read about that. What has happened to Rumble?
@@bikerstuff2 I meant that you had disappeared from searches on Rumble so I assumed you had been deleted.
That's why there is a link in the description here to take you right to it.
Where are your safety glasses, Miss?
I'm lucky, I'm not a man and therefore don't need them for every little thing.
🩵👊😎
More.... Ugh
no nipple slip again ? =(
Thanks Dana ( . )( . )
