Here in Georgia we have laws (and unfortunately) cameras all along the major intersections, and reaching for your phone to check for upcoming traffic jams can land you a ticket. Reasonably so I guess, but being stuck in gridlock traffic in the southern United States in summer can be supremely detrimental to your health. Sitting on a large displacement motorcycle can literally cook your groin because that tank and space above the engine gets SO hot when those fans come on.
So you think, "ok, I'll mount my phone on a gimbal and be hands-free", but that also gets hot and the phone shuts off because of the excessive heat. I pray for winter and fall months here in Atlanta, so I can ride comfortably and suited up for protection. I'd rather have the smaller version for my FJR1300. Many of us park our rides because of excessive heat and risks associated.
