- HITMAN 3 has been out for nearly a year and a half now, and as the last game in the trilogy, it’s the best time for the modding community to start messing around, and mess around they have. Join me in taking a look at and installing Lighting Ultimate, a mod aiming to improve the clarity of the visuals in HITMAN 3.

This is Great! We need more comparisons and mods. Like animations comparison for each game. Walking taking cover briefcase etc. Also the one mod I have always wanted was the human shield from the leaked alpha demo. If that can be implemented, I'll be damned this game will be a hell of a fun with new strategies.
Personally I like the bloom effect in Morocco because it makes the map look like a hot climate while without bloom it looks like a Californian movie set to me but other than that one map it looks great
Amazing showcase man! I would never believe that I needed lightning mod in Hitman haha. But honestly why I installed this is to fix the flickering which I encountered in the vanilla game. But anyways this mod is awesome! And I like that there is actual classic pack and GOTY to play with it, its insane.
I had no idea hitman 1 Colorado used to not be purple, i started playing when hitman 2 dropped

IO is well known for abusing visual effects in their games especially bloom, just have a look back at their older games.
Hitman Absolution, Kane and Lynch 2. Hitman 1 was much cleaner game, but IO could not resist abusing visuals once again. Sometimes the lesser is better.
I must say, mods are truly the game changers (hehehehe :D )

Is there a way to have just the bloom fixes and not the level lighting changes?
Unfortunately not. As far as I know, the only levels with big lighting changes are Marrakesh and Haven, so you can just keep vanilla lighting for those levels.
Also didn’t know you were a HITMAN player Deji, good to still see you around.
Back at the start of H3, I made a mod called Better Bloom Mod, which did precisely this. I got rid of it because Lighting Ultimate was doing what I was doing, and better than I could do it too.
I hope the modding community bring back enhance Master difficulty to be like Hitman 2016 Professional mode
Why? Suspicious items were annoying as you had to juggle weapons and items, and loud footsteps made everything slow to a crawl. I know people want to make the game harder, but there's a reason IOI went with more passive difficulty changes.

i have a question i got hitman 3 on xbox game pass on pc can you still mod it ?
seems like an excellent mod and i'll definitely be installing it if i ever get a good pc and switch over. hopefully it becomes even more customizable in the future because while I love the look of the classic pack and the bloom fixes on H1&2 maps plus Ambrose (which while a good map has the worst of the bloom lighting due to its overall cheapness in terms of reusing assets and lighting from previous levels outside of original context) I feel like Haven and Hitman 3's vanilla mapsets kind of miss the point a little. Haven getting a cool, more saturated palette makes it seem almost cartoonishly bright and picteresque, whereas ive always felt the original lighting looked beautiful but appropriately hot and humid. I also feel getting rid of Dubai's golden sheen goes against the opulence of that map, and I never like felt that map was as bad as Miami in terms of bloom

Am i the only one who prefers the vanilla looks ?
Honestly Vanilla looks quite nice, though I cannot deny the bloom is a tad much on a lot of the levels, and Dartmoor and Marrakeshs' color correction gives me a bloody headache. I don't mind the bloom in Dubai and Mendoza too much as those are deliberate artistic decisions (in the foyer at least as the sun plays into the aesthetic of the level).
