Hello, good night Bill... Excellent video, a spectacular boat... Congratulations !!! Thanks for sharing !!! Best regards ... We are going to the next flight? ... I, after the video of the accident with the 757-3, I published a more serene and pleasant beach, in Portugal ... you are welcome ...
Hi! Great video, thank you so much for the information, one question i have is does it have a low battery indicator? What do you do when it runs out of battery in the lake? Thanks!
Hi, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) This does not have a low battery indicator that I am aware of, so best to check batteries beforehand.
RULE OF THUMB" When setting the main sail, set it so when it is in, it should have the boom at the very edge of the back of the boat. This lets the wind slide off the back of the boat. The jib (front sail) should be set to be at the side of the boat with the same angle as the main sail.(This sails wind creates high pressure on the front of the main sail and draws the boat forward) As soon as you fall off from the wind easy the sails out. When going directly down wind the sails will automatically go to one sail on each side called "WING ON WING" You can then adjust the sails farther in or out depending on how the boat preforms. ENJOY MY FRIENDS!
@@BillMRC Thanks for reply well I just changed receiver to a old spektrum one AR600 so can use RM TX 16s works and feels better, also yes loop lines to winch do seem taught is that adjustable from the drum in anyway I haven't tried yet don't know much about winches tbh...
@@BillMRC not the servo loop it is a loop the sails are attached to the loop as the loop goes back and forth the sails are let out and drawn in respectively I also always have some slack in those so its not that but like I say the winch loop may stretch over time and resolve issue I hope.... Also just extensively tested the winch and after setting in a position for 3-4seconds it stops jitter where it is as if its settled down which encourages me a little that its not going to drain batteries or burn itself out I hope lol
The jib sheet is completely messed up. It needs to feed from a deck eye that is centered up to the jib club. That centered deck eye was skipped here, attaching the jib to one side of the deck. It will only sail on one tack.
The boom appears 180 degrees out. The vang is usually on the bottom, that would make the boom even with the mailsail bottom. I'm going to mod mine to work correctly.
looks like a rather easy sailboat to control. No wind can really frustrate you. I looked at the ones with a motor just in case. I live in an area where the wind blows all the time.
@@BillMRC Thank you very much, this is information that helps me a lot, I am French so it is possible that you already said it in the video, I speak poor English and thank you again 1000 times for the answer 🤩
Hi Daniel, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated 😀 I think technically the ropes attached to the bottom of a front sail without a boom are called sheets ???
Aircraft radio....? So weird Anyway I'm assuming that any standard stick config surface radio is sufficient for a sailboat or are dual 4 way sticks needed for rudder/sail operation?

Thanks! How long is the keel? I'm looking at getting this one but our local pond is fairly shallow.
Hi Kyle, the keel is 34cm long.
@@BillMRC Perfect. Thank you! Great channel.

Me as a 17 year sailor I can confirm sailing upwind with the boom on the corner of the stern is correct

Hi ya!! My sail winch jitters why? is it faulty I dun no tried to bind with RM TX 16s but it wont.. ..
Hi Brian, could be a faulty servo or line too tought.

Hi, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) The wind factor is the skill, challenge & fun of a sailboat :-)
Hi, is the box where you put the batteries and the servo motor directly in the box or do you have to buy them separately?
Hi Jean, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) You only have to supply your own batteries.

Hi Grant, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-)
Does anyone know if this is okay to use in the ocean? A calm channel, barely any waves.
Hi Cori, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) This is fine to use in the ocean too.
how long can you drive with one battery?
Hi, thank you for watching & commenting, always much appreciated :-) Good question, I have not used this enough myself to find out.
I have just purchased a similar model & 5 hours and counting on quality rechargeable batteries
