      So true ...me too... I was thinking when I saw it that it was the 2 of them in the beginning and it's the 2 of them. In the end, he has his family, but it was always he and his mom.... I feel that's what she was thinking as she stood off by herself, arms wrapped around her body, looking up as the jersey for her son is rising up into this huge arena, thousands of people cheering for her son .....her thinking that ALL of this is for my baby❤❤❤that would have been overwhelming and beautiful... And he just came and sealed it with that huge hug as he pointed to the jersey going up...❤❤❤❤❤a precious memorable moment ❤❤❤❤❤

    Deep respect to VC. It took a while to get here for him, to have the crowds stop booing and have the full circle moment. but no matter the past every Raps fan who grew up watching him play, like me 💜 will never forget Vince Carter and how he truly took the team from nothing to something. Love seeing him show his heart and soak up the moment and give so much gratitude to the fans.

      You know, the thing about the booing...it wasn't because we didn't love him Anymore, that love NEVER died, NEVER ended. It was SADNESS pain hurt because we MISSED him.... We didn't want him to leave. We wanted him to stay, so it was just hurt that was coming out, it's like when someone breaks up with you, you still love them But you see things to hurt them because you're hurting... You miss them... and you STILL love THEM... JUST WAITING AND HOPING FOR A RECONCILIATION❤❤❤❤.❤❤❤❤❤ AND that wonderful day came when TORONTO, CANADA and VINCE CARTER carter were able to kiss and makeup and be in LOVE again❤❤❤❤❤

    It's so wild to think that the Raptors have aging legends to retire numbers for. I know it's been 30 years but I still feel like 1995 was just a decade ago. Raptors have come a long way. I'm a hockey fan who didn't pay attention to basketball or the Raptors until Vince Carter showed up. The guy literally captured our imaginations. Those who are still bitter about him "leaving" need to get over yourselves. He was run outta town by corporate old heads who only cared about the Leafs.

  • @alonzotanner1226
    @alonzotanner1226 3 місяці тому +1

    The only former Raptor who deserves this honor as much as Kawhi. Kawhi may have gotten Toronto their first actual ring, but Vince got the actual franchise on the map from the jump. He coudln't get them a ring cuz he didn't have help and that's why he started acting up around year 5 or so until he got his wish for a trade to New Jersey. Don't give me that "Kawhi had no helpe either" bullshit. He had Gasol, Siakam, Danny Green (Who was still a good 3&D player then), Lowry, Powell, and Ibaka. Kawhi just took most of the touches but they still helped him win. Kawhi was only in Toronto for one season ffs but his one year there was spectacular. Can't wait til they do the same for Kawhi sometime after he retire. Anyway, this was well deserved, Vince!

    Vince, you were Canada's Micheal Jordan, If only you and McGrady stuck it out here in Canada, But we had to get Leonard to get the job done. Who also is a superstar. Yeah there are warmer cities to play in then Toronto, But Raptors parade after winning it all shows there are no greater fans then in Toronto, Nevertheless, appreciate all you did Vince for Toronto and basketball,

    • @Hockeybanger
      @Hockeybanger 3 місяці тому

      They could not have brought titles here, they both went to teams that were way deeper and had way more talent on the teams they went to.
