Love this video! It’s so cool seeing the double track at South Geelong.
@@CSI_Fan South Geelong certainly looks different now 👍😀
Excellent video my friends 😊
@@MarcelosalivaTRENESArg thank you. 😀 Very happy to hear you enjoyed the video 👍 😀
The Geelong area is far more expansive than I thought.😊👍
Second biggest city in victoria. 👍😀
awesome video
@@christopher-2000 thank you. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀

@@Aviation_Videos 👋👋 waving hello as we go past. 👍😀
6:02 Q: Why did the Kangaroo cross the bridge?
A: It didn't.
👍
@@mihailoarsic5716 👍😀
Have yet to go as far as Waurn Ponds by train, that might be fun. Though I still would also like to take the Bellarine Tourist Railway at some point.
@@georgeheilman4243 both ideas sound like a great idea. 👍😀
Duplicated track begins here 2:28
@@JTRAIN 👍😀
Golly! They have really "Gold Platted" those double tracked bits and the new stations. You can really see where the money went, although I'm not sure that is the best use of limited passenger rail infrastructure funds?
The standards required now are much more than the old days. There are a lot more considerations nowadays in this era of safety for everyone. 👍😀
When you're infrastructure get updated every 60-80 years, I think you deserve gold plated. When was the last time new track was laid down on this side of Geelong?
Why didn’t they build south Geelong and Marshall longer for the 9 car trains? Aren’t they gonna run the whole way to waurn ponds eventually or is it only to Wyndham vale?
@@ghostfiregamings6878 I'm not sure what the long term plan is for 9 cars. At the moment it is just Wyndham Vale. I guess time will tell if they are to run any further. 👍😀
thanks for the ride :) I have a question regarding the use of vlocitys on the Warrnambool line will they split from a 6 car at warn ponds then run down to Warrnambool as a 3 car? would act similar to Ararat
@@Trainspottervic I'm not sure yet what they plan to do. It will be interesting to see what happens. I'm sure we will know soon. 👍😀
Is it usual for these trains to run on the right hand side?
Maybe there is an American driver today.😆
@@neilgerace355 With the bidirectional track, the train Can run on either side. It just depends on the traffic of the day. 👍😀
Why are regional trains different to suburban lines?🤔
Different company, longer trips, more baggage on the train.... many reasons. 👍😀
@@driver667 🤔What does luggage have to do with the direction of travel?
@@brianmcgill7314 ahh, you are referring to the side they travel on... that wasn't clear in your question. The difference isn't because it's regional or suburban. It just depends on what operational factors they were wanting in that location. The Werribee line is bidirectional although they don't use reverse running all that much these days. Then there is the bidirectional centre line on the Frankston and out to Box Hill. It's just most of the suburban system was built a long time ago with up and down lines and later upgrades allowed for bidirectional in places. 👍😀
Great video
@@yargn3594 Thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the video. 👍😀
