Train from St Panc to Blackfriars, take southern exit & either walk to Waterloo (nice walk by the Thames or along the road) or take a short taxi journey (taxis at Tate Modern or at Sea Containers hotel)
I'd get thameslink to either Blackfriars and walk or to London bridge and then, from London Bridge, I'd get a southeastern train just 1 stop to Waterloo East - then walk the few minutes to Waterloo.
I hate to point this out, but the easiest way to get from St Pancras to Waterloo, a journey I used to make at least once a year heading to visit my family in Somerset from Nottinghamshire, is to follow what my mother would do: Walk out of St Pancras station to the taxi rank, get in the next available cab and ask for Waterloo 😂
What about Waterloo proper instead of Waterloo (East)? Perhaps the quickest way would be to stay on Thameslink to East Croydon, get a service to Victoria via Clapham Junction, then switch at Clapham Junction for a service into Waterloo's main set of platforms.
It always amazes me how there are so many options to travel in London. It is common that mainline rail, overground, underground and bus are all options. Here in the Midlands that is seldom the case. This isn't an anti London rant. It is an aspiration.
So you let a sevenoaks train go (which stops at LB) to get on a "brighton" train to LB which was actually a train to rainham. 2 mins in and already it's pretty unhelpful. Get off at blackfriars, and get a bus to waterlooo station and yo'd have been there 10 mins earlier.
it did not infact stop at london bridge, The service is question went via Elephant & Castle. Furthermore, this video wasn’t meant to be the ‘quickest way’ or ‘Best way’ it was a personal preference or journey i choose when travelling between the two. I appreciate i made a couple mistakes in the video in terms of commentary however this will only improve with making more videos.
*edit* Just looked at the route map and answered my own question - Sevenoaks, Orpington and Wimbledon/Sutton trains all go through Elephant & Castle rather than London Bridge under normal operations. Still plenty of other Thameslink destinations that would get you to London Bridge, but fewer than I thought! (1:25 don't the Sevenoaks trains also go to London Bridge? I thought it was only Sutton/Wimbledon trains that would be no use for London Bridge...)
so 9Y55 - 18:37 Thameslink service to sevenoaks (The One in this video) actually goes via elephant and castle instead of london bridge. Think they must change some routes during peak times

That will require: • Demolishing buildings and/or digging into parks to make way for ventilation shafts • Adding fans to each surface portal end of the running tunnels, to supplement the piston effect of bringing fresh air in and expelling stale air out • Creating chambers, including repurposing disused stations like British Museum, with refrigeration equipment, taking the heat to exchangers for adjacent buildings' hot water • Air conditioning on the new 2024 tube stock

Blackfriars then walk along the thames path or Stamford st or pass Southwark tube station and go down the cut or even Colombo st and Roupell st
I found it was a very long walk from St Pancras to the underground station. Is it a shorter walk to the Thameslink?
@@andrewclark8630 it’s not a long walk at all, i’d say 2 minutes from Gateline to platform

Also I would personally prefer to walk than use a taxi. That said underground for me every time.
that way also involves more momey and vomit

Sounds like a good plan, might have to do that for another video!
Long way round to avoid the foot bridge at Waterloo East
No need just take the 381 from London Bridge to Waterloo.
@@nathanw9770 you sort of miss the point, this is just a hypothetical 'can it be done'
That's exactly what I would do. How about doing Vauxhall to Fenchurch Street?

At Blackfriars, why did you point the camera west across the other platforms rather than east onto the river?
Because i was sat on that side of the train and it was extremely busy both on the train and the platform.
What the way to Wareham in Dorset. Same way as you wear 'um anywhere else.
Nice
