This is all absolutely fantastic information. Well reasoned, and I appreciate the call to construct your own from a good list of components. Thank you, thumbs up!
I bought a $1,300 juice plus tower garden. I had it inside. It is disassembled in my basement right now because it was dripping all over my floors, and then it started spraying all over. Also, the light fixtures is really heavy. It's almost a 2 person job to reassemble after you have cleaned it. If you're less than 6 feet tall, you have to hold the heavy assembly over your head and line two rods up with 2 holes. Sounds easy, except the whole assembly is sprinkled with round holes for the water to drip through. You need to find the 2 that are slightly bigger and have absolutely no markings on them. I replaced it with 2 elevated planter boxes I made myself out of cedar planks. I use half gallon mason jars as my containers, I have an air pump on the bottom shelf, and each plant has an air stone. I also have one 36" light on each planter box. It's much prettier.
OMG I love this! How is your DIY garden going?! I will say however, you either had a defective tower garden unit or you did not put it together properly (tight enough) I have had several tower gardens and they only ever leaked when I didn't do something right. I don't think the company would be as HUGE and successful if they made products that just leak everywhere right? This was obviously a case of equipment malfunction or user error. I'm glad to see you have worked around it though. I would love to chat about buying your un used tower garden from you if you are interested?
If you would want to sell your "spraying, dripping" tower garden I would Glady take it off your hands? I'm sure you would make me a good deal considering it leaks everywhere?
Hi, great to see another of your videos and as usual, very instructive. I'm looking into buying a 3d printer to make my next tower garden but i am afraid of leakage as i've experienced in my 2 first tower gardens that i will probably get rid of. Or i might just stick to what has worked the best for me is my five tier Racking sistem. My current experiment for the moment is adding copper antennas to my Hydroponics racks, I am not sure if it is increasing my yield or the speed of growth yet or that i'm just better at controlling the differents aspects, but i seem to think that it is working, the future will tell, for now my plants and herbs are more beautiful than they ever have been. So, thanks again for the inspiration and knowledge, Have a great day and a great life, Regards Frank from Montreal Canada

Hi, love the video! My wife and I are long-time gardeners, and are thinking about converting a spare bedroom into a growing space for winter vegetables. Which of your guides provides instructions to build a tower garden? Thanks!
That sounds AMAZING!! I wish you all the best. Unfortunately I had to take the guide down as I realized how difficult I was for some people to acquire U-pvc pipe. So, I'm currently making a new guide with food grade plastic buckets that I will get out to everyone A.S.A.P sorry about the dead link.
Thanks for the great video. Was looking for the plans pdf and couldn’t find it in the description. Can you point me in the right direction for the plans? Thank you 🙏

This is completely new to me but now I’m interested!!! 😁 We have spent thousands building raised beds and they dry out daily. We already have the materials to build one more but after that one is built ~ I’m leaning toward trying this. 😂
I am so excited for you to try a tower garden! You will wonder why you didn't know about them sooner. I did beds, both raised and rows in ground for years. My first tower garden I COMPLETELY filled, Cucumbers, tomatoes, jalapenos, snap peas, cauliflower, broccoli, cantaloupe, dill, cilantro, romaine, green beans, and Kale. it all grew super fast and tasted super good. I changed the water 3 times over 4 months and set everything else to a timer. no top watering at all and I used 90% less water to grow 20 huge plants in 1/3 the time, I was hooked. That was the start of this channel :)
I'm looking to build my first hydroponic tower and I've got a few questions lol. I don't know what kind of root space I'll need for different kinds of produce. Is there an easy way to determine how big the tower's diameter should be? Is there a way to build the drip system you described (the one with hundreds of little holes)? And instead of using net pots, I saw someone who used pool noodles. Would pool noodles inhibit the aeroponic water distribution?
Hey! Check out this video if you haven't already: ua-cam.com/video/8M7AfKYEclI/v-deo.html it also comes with a guide that should answer any questions you have :)
So I started with small countetop gardens - ok for occasional herbs. Small resevoir towers are def novelty, I agree. But DIY was more tooling and messing around than I wanted. I got tower gardens with lights and cages bc tbey are automated and large enough to provide constant supply of food and zero guessing w nutrients. They have payment plans and I found it very affordable. Paid off in one year and zero messing around. I appreciate the video but DIY wasn't right for me.
Im not really a person to build my own. But im interested in trying out a tower garden. I wish you could recommend some that are really good and are food grade and so on. Some i could buy and just start growing veggies. There are soooo many different ones that i dont know what to pick 😞
Hi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on tower garden here. I am from italy and I would like to open a production that sells straight to customers. So I need to know how much can produce a tower garden with 60 holes each year? I mean averagely to prepare my business plan. Thank you
Tower guardens are relatively expensive because quality parts are expensive. For me to construct a good quality 21 cell tower cost me with high pressure pump, Audino contoller, spray nozzles cost about $150.00 in materials, then we have labor cost for constructing, plumbing and wiring.
I just bought the Standard Hydroponic Tower - 18 hole 6 Tier Kit Indoor Hydroponic Garden - Vertical Hydroponic Garden. How many hour do you let the water run? How often do I add nutrients?
Hey there Dan! Just now trying to get back to all my messages on this. Yes absolutely, feel free to email me at miner.chad@gmail.com and we can chat about your tower. Hopefully in the year since you posted this you have had some success with your Nutriponics Tower
You said you would put a PDF in the description on how to build my own tower garden, but I can't find it. Do you have a video of you building one? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I'm really sorry about the PFD guide. I had to remove it as I discovered that a lot of people don't have access to the U-pvc that I used. Therefore, I am making a new guide and video on creating 3 different tower gardens that will be food grade BPA free plastic and worth the wait. Apologies for the dead link.
Food grade BPA free plastic, developed at Epcot over 20 years, tested for nutritional value at U of Mississippi, THAT is why the TG by JP+ is $55-95/mo x 12 months. Mine havent aged at all in 12 years of growing all year round. I think the price is amazing , its about VALUE, not initial cost
I’m planning on putting in four hydroponic beds in my garden. I’m in the researching process right now. Tower gardening or beds? I want to do my homework first.
Sir, there are websites like Agrotonomy who sells their own aeroponic tower that is super expensive and I need to buy the water irrigation system on my own as well, but on the other hand they offer the nutrient or I should say the fertilizer, what'd you recommend? I intend to buy around 20-30 towers.
wow that's a massive investment! Feel free to send me an email at miner.chad@gmail.com and I'm happy to set up a time to hop on the phone with you and talk this through/offer any advice so you can get set up for success here.
I recommend buying a bunch of towers from here www.towergarden.com#Humblegrowthhydroponics These will be the best for the money and I can send you my $100 guide for free if you buy them through that link today.
You the man! I was interested in doing affiliate marketing with TOWER GARDENS, but the price of one is so COST PROHIBITIVE...Glad you give alternatives, even though TG is superior than other Chinese Cheap Copy Cats.
Thank you so much, for such an informative video ! I wish I had the ability to do it myself, but I have learned the hard way with trying to do certain things myself, and ended up wasting money ! At least your video made me make a smart decision ! I have chosen to go with Tower Garden by Juice Plus ! Hopefully I do not need to join an MLM to purchase one ! If that is the case, I will have to pay someone to make me one, NO MLMS for me !!!! I really hope that is not the case because I really like the way they make their grow towers !!! Thanks again for a great video !!! Also, the way you speak is very calming and relaxing !
thank you for this comment! You do not need to join a MLM, If you have not purchased it already, I am offering my mastering your tower garden series for free if you use my links (I did have to join the MLM lol) www.towergarden.com#Humblegrowthhydroponics If you already have one, I can still hook you up with a super discounted tower garden guide if you are interested. :) Happy growing
I'm curious whether you can cut and come again on lettuces with the tower garden, or do the roots get too big to do that? Also, is there a mosquito issue? Do you use mosquito dunks in the water? TIA
Great video. Something to consider tho.. “BPA free” plastics use things like BPS and BPF to replace the BPA, which are equally as toxic and cancer causing as BPA. In other words, “BPA free” is really just creative marketing. We have to figure out a way to get rid of plastic altogether. That said, until there’s an alternative to plastic, I will likely still be purchasing a tower garden when I can afford it because I want to be able to grow my own food more efficiently. Just wanted to give the info. Thanks for a very informative video.
That's a Cubic Mini Grizzly cubicminiwoodstoves.com/products/cb-1210-br-cubic-mini-wood-stove I removed the legs as they were actually completely useless and just made it heavier when it was mounted. Plus I think it looks cooler as a free mounted wood stove.
To me, this would be akin to buying a cheap tower off amazon. 3d printed objects will NEVER BE FOOD SAFE. The molecular structure leaves far too many gaps in the composite. Even if you buy "food grade" filament, the gaps allow soooo much bacteria to thrive that they will never be considered food safe. 3d printed towers are becoming super popular and I get it. But I also don't want to eat micro plastics that leach into my garden, or have bacteria thriving in my garden walls. Thank you for your input, I appreciate every angle and perspective here.
I have one probably dumb question... I have grown things in hydroponics indoors before. But I'm wondering (here comes the dumb part) do you have to keep filling the water bucket? Or does it simply flow down from the top and stay filled? (that was your dumbest question of the day I bet)
No dumb questions here! I think that is a great question. A well assembled tower garden should be able to re circulate the water inside until it is absorbed by the roots. Hope that helps :) someone very wise once told me that "only the smartest people ask questions" ;)
I respect your opinion. My view of them are based on comparison. You cannot truly speak to what I am saying unless you are comparing the Chinese towers to a genuine juice plus tower garden. That is what this video is about. I have use both Chinese made cheap towers and JP tower gardens (a lot) Comparing them would be like comparing a Kia to a Bentley. You need to understand the context more before you ask me to stop comparing things. I invite you to buy a JP tower garden and compare for yourself. www.towergarden.com#Humblegrowthhydroponics Then tell me that the Chinese made tower gardens are still good. It is also a known fact that Chinese produced goods are cheaply made by people who don't really care in factories that mass produce future landfill fodder. 99% of what China imports to the rest of the world is absolute garbage. sorry not sorry, this is my platform lol.
"Sir, thank you for a very informative video. Could you please make a video about lighting for aeroponics from four sides and about the temperature in the room where the Tower Garden is installed? Greetings from Kazakhstan. 🇰🇿 For example, I don't have a greenhouse, but I have a free ground floor of the house or a basement where I want to grow salad greens in hybrid aeroponics."
I 3d modeled it and printed to screw on a 14 g rain barrel and grow sooo much strawberries like i literally never run out in just a 3x3 space, its nice if you wanna get really snazy you can put vertical full spectrum lights on all sides for even coverage. 3d printers allow you so much design freedom screw these monopolies lol
YUP! They are definitely overpriced and easy to build! Mike VanDuzee and healing hobbies have awesome video showing you how to build Kratky method and one with a pump. I've built several of them for way under $25.00 and they produced lots of edibles.
I urge you to watch the video I made about 3d printed towers ua-cam.com/video/raTBpkwLKUY/v-deo.html a little controversial but I definitely stand by it. Hope it helps!
I am looking for your product Place lace me a message. When I post this, I am looking for more information no this. Want looking how find are how build one .
Hey Edward! Not sure how I missed your message, please feel free to reach out to me at miner.chad@gmail.com and I can try to get you started with building your own aero garden. Alternatively I have a free guide you can download on my site if you'd like: www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com
I was wondering this for a while. I see some of the other companies are directly copying the Tower Garden and the Nutraponics garden for 1/10 the price. Like it looks just about identical but Im still pretty skeptical especially about the issue with plastics, Im guessing that you get what you pay for. Would love to see someone compare a grow between these systems though.
I do love his design. However the issue I ran into when I made one and grew cucumber and peppers in the same one, was actually the lack of inner root space. How was your luck building and growing in his garden?
@humblegrowth you can duplicate the design with bigger pipe diameter to help mitigate that. You'll have to scale up the fitting and connector measurements. Root trimming also helped me as well. More roots doesn't necessarily mean more growth when it comes to hydroponics.hope this helps
@humblegrowth also, Chris lohs build is just a worded explanation and tutorial of the build created by someone in Thailand. And they have more designs of the same caliber, but there's no vocal audio explaining the build. Just video.
You can do some really quick math to find out that these fancy 700$ towers aren’t going to repay themselves in terms of produce yield anytime sooner than 7+ years. Considering also that most of the time they are just a structure with hydraulics. For a successful growing you need nutrients, adeguate lighting (80% of the running cost), a controlled climate, seeds, growing medium and so much more. With such a high cost, these things are just not scalable and remain fancy flowerpots.
It really depends on optimization of the tower in my opinion. I think Juice Plus struggles to give their customers an adequate education when they purchase a tower to grow things outside of the basics like lettuce
@@humblegrowth Thanks for your reply. The links appear broken and when I go to the website it asks for member login info. Is there another way to download?
@@raffletickets247 Ah! I'm sorry about the confusion. You should be able to download any of my guides here www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com for absolutely free :)
Buy the dollar store ones, take 5 mins to drill the holes and spend 3 mins watering every other day. It'll cost you $10. Don't be lazy and waste money on these.
Tower gardens are made from food safe plastics, yet still contain a prop 65 warning. How do we know that food safe plastics don't leach chemicals into the water, when exposed to chemicals used in aeroponics? Food safe, when used as specified, i don't think any of the plastics are tested for leaching in this application, but please point me in that direction if you know of some tests. Regarding 3d printed towers, bacterial contamination is a moot point - soil isn't sterile. Plants can't physically absorb single cell bacteria. Ergo is there really any difference that we know of, when examining the possibility of leaching, through the lens of safety of a Tower Garden vs 3d, cheap Chinese or whatever?
I went back to using soil after spending hundreds of dollars and countless hours. Main disadvantage with hydroponics or aeroponics is labor intensive and loss of nutrients from drips. With water any loss is neglible, but when drips contains precious and expensive chemicals, it becomes a concern. You need to constantly test and mix chemicals. It works for full time production, but as a homeowner, soil and water is less demanding.
Sounds like this video isn't for you... Thanks for sharing your experience. You're right, you do have to know a lot, and there can be a lot of user error related issues like drips. It's not for everyone.
Thank you. My tone only comes from my frustration as a consumer. I only inflate my tone as a representation of my annoyance with products that are cheaply made then shipped to other countries only to become landfill fodder. I personally try to invest my money in high quality engineered, designed and fabricated products so they will last, and cheap Chinese, mass produced, products really don't in my experience. I truly believe that it comes down to passion for your work. If you want to be doing something, you will do it better, China's infrastructure is not really setup for following ones desire and passion for work on a middleclass level. love the chat, thanks for your comment.
Yup! Though I will see Juice Plus Tower Gardens are some of the best quality on the market, their design patent is impressive compared to what's out there

Should be up and running now if you want to look at any of my free guides at www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com
Im not really a person to build my own. But im interested in trying out a tower garden. I wish you could recommend some that are really good and are food grade and so on. Some i could buy and just start growing veggies. There are soooo many different ones that i dont know what to pick 😞
I will get started on that for ya!
Great video. Thanks
glad it helped!
In my blind were tomatoes not a good idea for these? That’s the primary reason I want one. Thank you for this!
Hi! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on tower garden here. I am from italy and I would like to open a production that sells straight to customers. So I need to know how much can produce a tower garden with 60 holes each year? I mean averagely to prepare my business plan. Thank you
Can you shoot me a e-mail over at miner.chad@gmail.com and we can talk business a little more.
Makes sense! Thanks bruh!
Absolutely!
Tower guardens are relatively expensive because quality parts are expensive. For me to construct a good quality 21 cell tower cost me with high pressure pump, Audino contoller, spray nozzles cost about $150.00 in materials, then we have labor cost for constructing, plumbing and wiring.
Hi, if I use foggers instead of water, what other thing should I add to the vertical garden?
very helpful, thanks
happy that it helps!
Very interested- thanks for the hints!
Thanks so much for taking the time out to clarify why things are pricey lol. Everyone wants something for free
I just bought the Standard Hydroponic Tower - 18 hole 6 Tier Kit Indoor Hydroponic Garden - Vertical Hydroponic Garden. How many hour do you let the water run? How often do I add nutrients?
Excellent! I run mine for 15 min on 45 off
fellow okie?! I love OSU education on gardening
CU Boulder actually :)
I just bought a Nutriponics Tower and would love to get in contact with you to talk about it since you seem to know your stuff! Any chance of this?
Hey there Dan! Just now trying to get back to all my messages on this. Yes absolutely, feel free to email me at miner.chad@gmail.com and we can chat about your tower. Hopefully in the year since you posted this you have had some success with your Nutriponics Tower
Is there any parts that can be 3d printed? I bet that could be cheaper.
Please watch the video I made about this here: ua-cam.com/video/raTBpkwLKUY/v-deo.html
Do you have more information on this please?
Any tower gardens you could recommend for growing cannabis?
Looking to have 4-6 plants per tower and 10-12 towers in a greenhouse.
You had me at “plant-based produce junkie”. Yep 🙋♀️ New subscriber
How about “The Hydro Tower” 👀? Good looking and reasonably priced.
I ❤ your videos!!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Do I need direct sunlight? or Can I grow In somewhat shed area where sunlight often comes?
Also, the way you speak is very
calming and relaxing !
thank you for this comment! You do not need to join a MLM, If you have not purchased it already, I am offering my mastering your tower garden series for free if you use my links (I did have to join the MLM lol)
www.towergarden.com#Humblegrowthhydroponics If you already have one, I can still hook you up with a super discounted tower garden guide if you are interested. :) Happy growing
I'm curious whether you can cut and come again on lettuces with the tower garden, or do the roots get too big to do that? Also, is there a mosquito issue? Do you use mosquito dunks in the water? TIA
Yes you can grow cut and grow lettuce in a tower. No problems with mosquitoes if it is a closed system.
What do you do when you start with a small plant? .. Or a seedling in the hole, Diameter there is larger
Have you experimented with 3d printing parts for your DIY towers?
Great video. Something to consider tho.. “BPA free” plastics use things like BPS and BPF to replace the BPA, which are equally as toxic and cancer causing as BPA. In other words, “BPA free” is really just creative marketing. We have to figure out a way to get rid of plastic altogether.
That said, until there’s an alternative to plastic, I will likely still be purchasing a tower garden when I can afford it because I want to be able to grow my own food more efficiently. Just wanted to give the info.
Thanks for a very informative video.
Thanks, great video
Glad you liked it!
I can't download any of your stuff. Is it only me?
Hm, I just checked my links and they should be working. Check all of them out at www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com
Question: Where did you get that suspended fire place?
That's a Cubic Mini Grizzly cubicminiwoodstoves.com/products/cb-1210-br-cubic-mini-wood-stove
I removed the legs as they were actually completely useless and just made it heavier when it was mounted. Plus I think it looks cooler as a free mounted wood stove.
Thanks a lot man for sure got me started in the right direction
Excellent! Your so welcome :)
Invest 200$ in a 3d printer and make your own tower. Free designs can be found on many websites or linked from youtube videos.
Hope that helps :)
someone very wise once told me that "only the smartest people ask questions" ;)
@@humblegrowth but it will eventually need water added right?
@@judykaspar7402 Yes, depending on the weather and how big your plants are it will need to be refilled often or once a month.
Hey can you keep the tower garden videos coming especially in winter because I have the Flex I love it but seeing someone else’s success is so helpful
Not to mention how awesome towers look !
So awesome! 😎
I'm going to 3d print mine.
the chinese ones work great. they're not cheaply made, the quality is great. please stop inserting a bias against chinese goods.
I invite you to buy a JP tower garden and compare for yourself. www.towergarden.com#Humblegrowthhydroponics
Then tell me that the Chinese made tower gardens are still good.
It is also a known fact that Chinese produced goods are cheaply made by people who don't really care in factories that mass produce future landfill fodder. 99% of what China imports to the rest of the world is absolute garbage.
sorry not sorry, this is my platform lol.
The information was very helpful, I just started 3d printing a tower with PETG which BPA-Free and I know now that is should use a 20 gallon
reservoir
I don't see a pdf for the build
Check out my website www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com for the free guide on how to build it
"Sir, thank you for a very informative video.
Very informative, you for sure hit your target audience with me!!! Thank you for the awesome video 😊
you are awesome man !!!!
You are!
How’d I miss this?! Great video!
Thanks Eric! I'm still putting together the "Are Aquaponics a sustainable answer?" Thanks for watching bro, I really appreciate your support!
What about 3d printed ones?
I urge you to watch the video I made about 3d printed towers ua-cam.com/video/raTBpkwLKUY/v-deo.html a little controversial but I definitely stand by it. Hope it helps!
Interesting but Keepon growing has been doing hydroponics for years and he does it cheap and with food grade byckets
Sounds like we have a lot in common. These are food grade as well. I've been growing hydroponically for over a decade. Thanks for the info 😊
I will absolutely do this!
Just look up chris lohs build video and diy your own towers for less expense and more growing space.
Just video.
We use 5 gallon buckets.
that definitely works!
False.
I grow soooo much food in my Tower Garden in my condo!! I love it!
It really depends on optimization of the tower in my opinion. I think Juice Plus struggles to give their customers an adequate education when they purchase a tower to grow things outside of the basics like lettuce
@@meganreid587 Where are you growing with it? I'm glad you're having success!
@@ASapWheelie Do you have a tower? And if so what kinds of produce do you like growing with it?
Guess documents arent free anymore :/
Free means there is no monetary cost to you. I charge absolutely nothing. What does free mean to you?
@@humblegrowth Thanks for your reply. The links appear broken and when I go to the website it asks for member login info. Is there another way to download?
@@raffletickets247 Ah! I'm sorry about the confusion. You should be able to download any of my guides here www.humblegrowthhydroponics.com for absolutely free :)
Buy the dollar store ones, take 5 mins to drill the holes and spend 3 mins watering every other day. It'll cost you $10. Don't be lazy and waste money on these.
It really depends on if you enjoy DIY projects or not, otherwise I agree you can build an epic tower garden with very simple and inexpensive parts
Buy the dollar store whats?? I'm interested...can u elaborate
@@TheExperimenthairno He will not, coz he was here to just comment that 😅
? 😂 this is the most useless comment ever (information-wise) can you elaborate on what exactly dollar tree is selling that will save us money.

Buy a 3D printer and print your own
You say you want to be made up of organic compounds, well plastics and bpas are organic compounds.
I appreciate the info in this video , but i didnt like the tone about Chinese products.
👍🏾
glad you enjoyed!

Yup! Though I will see Juice Plus Tower Gardens are some of the best quality on the market, their design patent is impressive compared to what's out there
