The half Moon key is a bear to put back in.... I see in the video you skip over (cropped video) what was actually done... There is a rubber fitting on the clutch The key won't stay in place to put the 2nd piece on.....
So, what kind of power or performance does that offer ? Looks simple enough, just not sure why you did it. I am looking for a power increase from my G22 gas if that matters.
have you ever replaced gears in the rear end I'm doing the spring kit next week but don't think it will be enough ,live In pa I power out alot and got to back down alot ,I'm thinking spring kit and 15 to 1 ratio gears ,I have 6 inch lift and 23/10/14 tires and wheels ,stay all summer in a camp ground so I don't need any speed just power to take family fishing or hunting, is it worth the money? and can I change gears without pulling tranny,? it's a 97 yamaha g16a . I do have a side by side we use at home all the time but the cart is more camp friendly . any advice would be totally appreciated
I have a lifted g22 that goes through lots of stuff off road. The drive belt spins a ton and Wong grip the clutches. Will this kit ad a new belt have the belt gripping more?
I installed the Power Spring and spacer for my G2 after reading it would give me better performance, especially torque. Waste of money if you ask me; lost about 8 mph in top end speed and cant really notice anything with torque.
This kit gears the cart lower, for improved torque, faster take offs, and better hill climbing. Restores lost power that typically occurs when larger tires and wheels are installed.
It's impossible to keep the key in place while you back off the pressure from the c clamp, as someone else posted you cropped the video and completely bypassed that step. Your video sucks! It actually shows nothing! This is a terrible do it yourself video and you should be embarrassed that you posted it after finding out that the key doesn't hold in the pulley due to increased pressure from the heavier spring. Nice try dumb dumb!
