How to Install Cheap China Lift Kit on EZGO Golf Cart 6" Inch Lift Installation Medalist TXT EZ GO

- I install the cheapest 6" lift kit I could buy. The instructions that come with the these kits are horrible, and really unusable. With most of these cheap kits, you will need to add extra washers on the tie-rod ends due to the thinner risers that mount to the spindles. Overall not hard to install, but takes a little time. Hope the video helps.

Thank you for making this video. I was curious on how much work it is. Your instructions are to the point. Great job!
You have saved me from a number of headaches
Glad to have helped! Thanks for watching
I’m learning a lot from watching this. Thanks for taking the time to post it. Looking forward to the update.
Awesome! Thanks for watching
Probably the best step by step video.ive ever seen.....holy cow. Thank you
Thank you much! Glad to help
Thanks so much. Great video. Very helpful and you did a great job explaining everything.
Thanks for watching! Glad to help!
That was helpful, thanks for sharing!
Really helpful, nicely done.
Just did this the other day! pretty much the same kit. The rear lift with the heavy-duty leaf springs makes it sit up higher in the back than the front. Cool to watch your build as I am doing the same thing on my 95 Medalist!
Thanks for watching. I have the motor on mine now, all is well except I need a new controller. It can’t handle the motor upgrade
@@Ozarkwild what controller are you going to go with? was that the stock one you were running it? the 4 posts? I had to get a new one on mine but kept the stock motor (went to 3 post 325amp I believe) and she flies!
Awesome. Thanks for watching. I have more video to post on the cart, just haven’t had time to get it edited, and stuff
Thank you for the great and detailed video.. doing mine along with you!
Awesome! Good luck to you!
I enjoy watching your videos
Thank you!
You can also hit the end of the shaft that the tie rod seats in (put the nut on hand tight before doing this) the rod will pop up within a 2-5 good hits.
Of course using the correct tools is always best option.
This is just an option if you don’t have the correct tools on hand. & you don’t feel like chasing it out.
Great video! Our old stock EZGO electric golf cart was going to need tires so we ordered All Terrain tires. They were delivered mashed together for shipping and the young guys at the local tire store could not get them apart to mount them. I am in my late sixties and I had to pry the tires open myself. The rear axle had already been positioned under the leaf springs at some point in the cart's life so the tires bolted right on. They rubbed just slightly on bumps so I ordered a cheap lift kit. With the kit installed the front tires rubbed and the rear tires could not even be mounted so we had to order spacers.
Thanks for watching. They are fun to work on.
I'm having a small issue where the bolts the hold the tie-rod in place are spinning with the nut when I try to tighten them
What are you using to test for voltage drops?
Great video! Just finished doing it while watching this! Would of figured it out on my own but you definitely saved me some time! Thanks! Now if you'd just tell me the socket sizes so I didn't have to look on my own🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣 Jk! Thanks again for the video!
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Very nice video, I just installed the same lift in mine but order new shocks and they do not fit they are too short, what brand of socks did you use? Thank you in advance Ozark Wild
Yeah I had the same issue, the factory type shocks didn’t work after the lift. I went with a Monroe shock, made for a car. See this video ua-cam.com/video/muobO8C7Lxg/v-deo.html
Can you add a link to the kit you used?
Hey brother. Nice work! Just watched this. Not trying to be "that guy", but I noticed the front bolts on the rear leaf springs are in backwards. Have been from when you got the cart.
I noticed that as well. Which is why I had to remove the battery cage to get the nuts off. Cage was toast anyway. And just to be ‘that guy’, I reinstalled them back the same way.
Lol
Do you think it would make a difference if the small side of the rear lift blocks were facing the other way? My 2015 has the barke cable on top of the hub and not the bottom and the mounting plate interferes with the short side of the block but if I reverse it, it fits.
The block slope is not that significant, so if you can get it to bolt up, might okay
@@Ozarkwild I went ahead and cut a notch in the lifting blocks for it to fit. See how that goes
I just started doing my fronts with the same exact kit and one of my bolts won’t fit because the bracket doesn’t extend all the way across the leaf spring and is blocked by the shock bracket.
You ever get it worked out!
@Ozarkwild could you please attach the link to buy this lift? I want to do the same to my cart
Here’s the one I bought

Looks easy with the cart completely disassembled. Wonder how much of pain with one assembled? Lol
Much easier for sure. A bit harder if fully assembled but shouldn’t be to bad
Semper Fi Brother!
