@User Roland yeah, i can go with that, Tunney started the style of being ring smart and adapting to your opponent, showing a lot of savvy and studying your fighter. However Ali adopted that style and mastered it. This is clearly a case of the apprentice out doing the master.

what is Povetkin doing in the rating of the best boxers in the world who never even had a championship belt?, and at the same time there are many undefeated champions, members of the boxing hall of fame.

Very serious compilation! I was born in 1976, so almost everyone is close to me. My biggest favorite was mentioned and the undisputed legend was in it, so I’m happy!

Just to add sonny liston one of the most feared boxers of all time and he might have some of the strongest punches of any boxer ever and was one of the 2 idles for Mike Tyson along with jack dempsey

Monzon was the best middleweight of all time, fought everybody and held the title for seven years undefeated; Robinson didn't come close to that.

Sugar held the world welterweight title from 1946 to 1951, then was the middleweight champion five times between 1951 and 1960. At his peak, his record was 128-1-2 with 84 knockouts. Never was KO'd in his 200 fights, though he once suffered a TKO.

A true fan of boxing would find this list largely ridiculous. How can you have a top 30 list of all-time greats without including Joe Louis and Rocky Marciano? Marciano is the only heavyweight champ in history to retire undefeated. His record was not surpassed by any heavyweight champ since he retired. This is a sham.

I don't know how you figure that. Ali lost about 7 fights, most to nobody's. Mike Tyson never even beat a great fighter. He only beat chumps and retired fighters. Every time he faced a qualified opponent he was destroyed. Actually, neither one belongs in the top 30. Vitali, Vlad, or Tyson Fury, all would have beat Ali or Mike Tyson. I don't even remember seeing Rocky Marciano's name in there.
@@506rf After being away from boxing for three and a half years he lost to a very good Joe Frazier and Ken Norton and later beat both, as for the others he was well past his prime and had parkinson's and still the greatest remarkable
@@Andre-cl2qt Joe Frazier and Ken Norton were good at best, by no means were they great. Gerry Cooney walked through Ken Norton like he wasn't even there. Just as George Foreman did to Joe Frazier. Neither would have stood a chance with the Klitschko's, Usyk, or Tyson Fury. Ali was the Greatest in his own mind only! Although he did convince some people that didn't know any better. I don't think Ali had Parkinson disease, he was punch drunk from taking to many heavy punches. Great fighters don't take that many punches. I noticed that you struggled to pick a couple of fair fighters that he fought, but you left out George Foreman. Other than those, his competition was mostly nobody's and he lost to some of those.
