Is a Kundalini awakening same as coming out of the freeze response?

I have been going through kundalini awakening symptoms since 2005 and through my experiences I would say that kundalini energy is also doing defrosting and healing freeze response as it is organic intelligence and its purpose is to purify the system to its organic Wholeness. I would say through my experience it’s transforming my life by bringing forth layer after layer of stored issues that need attention and healing those layers one by one. I do experience cooling sensations and it’s orienting me to understand myself, my nervous system, and expanding my intuitive bodily self connection as well. I would agree that defrosting is one of the sequences in this organically intelligent process if the subject has integrated its arousal through surrender and acceptance. This process does not harm if the person is ready to let it work and surrenders to its intelligence.

      1. Can you ascertain that it is really the Kundalini force you are experiencing and working with?
      2. Could you please advise or comment me on : When one is ready in oneself, but rendered unready by decades of innumerable sabotages and harmful, threatening acts, psychical de-composing, de-stabilizing measures done by social au. thori ties, doct ors and the rapists? (Separated words for privacy) I suppose It means NOT being ready to start healing and really growing then, since it takes an at least tiny platform, of stability and sa fety? Or do you reckon it possible to do a work un der any, ANY circumstances, even in a state of CPTSD with ongoing , life-threatening trauma ans being isolated and rendered unable socially /for normally flowing social interaction without needs of much support and soothing? Grateful in advance for your answer.

Claudia Bothner I will try to answer what I understood if you are asking if it’s possible to start healing despite having undergone tremendous trauma of various types. If this is what you are asking, then the answer is Healing is possible and natural response of body and spirit . The opening of awareness that one wants to heal itself is the initiation of healing process that requires support of various strategies and tools and working with right experts to heal different degrees of trauma. Healing is a natural urge and response of each human being. Professional support is good if the individual feels helplessness and fails to move forward in their process.

I felt spinal chills when my dad died, I went into freeze response for an year,i felt doomed, confused anxious.
After an year during quarentine i was reading something and suddenly chills went above my head super soon with multiple flashbacks and suddenly i knew truth about world.
    My head blew out.
I still don't know what it is.
I also realised that the chills i had was stuck in the middle of my spine during my dad's demise and it released to the universe after that

Sometimes i had kundalini awakening because of my healing trauma through TRE. And it felt like my spiritual self, (higher self) was giving me insights to my current problems it was an amazing experience. But then it would go away and I would keep doing TRE and nothing like that would happen for awhile. :) but I can see how if we don’t trust our bodies and force it can lead to problems as it is not ready to be released.

I had a spontaneous kundalini awakening after a near death experience and my nervous system collapsed . It was perhaps the only way to reawaken my energy it was like I was already dead or something . It completely fried my body and was a total surrreal experience for about 3 years . I eventually took kambo cause I couldn’t ground myself . Since then I’ve been working with carefully but I find it exhausting and scary . Definately the most powerful experience of my life and I’ve had a mad life 😂 don’t don’t don’t try and awaken it yourself , you don’t know what your getting yourself into it . I’ve never been the same since !

Thank you Irene, for all that you share. I have worked with trauma 30 years, as well as spiritual awakening, kundalini awakening. I have worked deeply with others for 10 years. I agree whole heartedly that we must create a resilient system, and have a method I employ (sovereignty) which I found a powerful way of enabling that. Personally I have worked in my own system with freeze, shutdown, immobility, developmental trauma, and disease proclivities as a result (some ancestral). The energies locked into or behind freeze (the fight of flight stuff) becomes enabled in the defreeze and going slow, and integrating is fundamental. While I made no intentional effort to kundalini awakening, I have come to understand a direct relationship between it, and the unlocking of the energies which had the lid on, through freeze. The adaptations of the nervous system through identities which basically hold the lid on those energies must also be 'seen' and integrated. It is a difficult topic to explain in words, as many things can be happening concurrently. You do a great job, yet I am curious about how you have arrived at your conclusions here regarding kundalini, and if you have any scientific source behind what you are sharing. Thanks again.

Leanora, agreed, Kundalini practice unfroze and discharged everything at once. Absolutely devastating. Based on my experience alone I don't think they are distinct or separate. The Kundalini surge discharged all my traumas simultaneously.
      See my lengthy comment above.

Darren Silvester I agree totally based on my personal process I have been enduring it successfully without any external professional support. Kundalini is a guru and great teacher if understood and surrendered to with love and faith.

Huge energy with tons of fear....as trauma is releasing.
What does one do with that?

@user-ci4fb2iy5n, Jen here from Irene's Team. If the release is happening organically, it can be important to turn towards support and to do whatever helps in the moment.
And if what's happening feels like too much, it's often a sign that we may need to grow the nervous system capacity and regulation needed to hold what's happening. Learning too to titrate - work with a a little at a time - can be key, as can learning to relate to the fear in different ways.
