The fact that 343 is telling people that borderless fullscreen didnt have different performance from fullscreen exclusive and people are believing it blows me mind.
With "fullscreen optimizations" off? Without this off, Windows runs all fullscreen things in this weird middleground where programs can still draw ontop of games, etc. Most games set to "fullscreen" will act the same as borderless without this "compatability option" ticked.
Wow thank you so much! I was experiencing fps between 20 to 40. Never a stable 60 fps. With your guide, my laptop achieved stable 60fps with occasional drops to 50+! Thank you so much again! Fyi for my laptop's specs. RTX 2060 Super 16GB RAM AMD Ryzen 3700X
Setting your resolution scale to the lowest does not change the clarity much but gives you a BIG boost in fps. If you have a low or mid range pc then u should do that. Just put the sharpness to 100%
Sheesh reading these comments have me feeling satisfied & grateful with what I’m getting right now usually nothing less than 100fps I wanna say no more than 140 in game and yet a bit of me wants more
"they wanted exclusive fullscreen because they believed it would give them significant performance advantages. While that used to be accurate a few years ago, that is actually no longer the case due to some fundamental changes with Windows 10, and it is not applicable to DirectX 12 (Infinite is DirectX 12 only)"
@@julianandresful Yeah but my desktop applications stay in full focus when in borderless full screen but if in full full screen they are paused or temporarily disabled hence increasing fps still. At least that’s how it is for me I believe.
I wish they had a dedicated full screen mode. I’m have a rtx 2070 and on 1080p medium settings I’m dipping a lot in frames when I do BTB or sometimes 4v4
Just use the dynamic resolution scaling. It works really well. Just set the minimum of what you want the game to run at and let it do its thing. Also you can get away with higher textures if you have the VRAM for it
Whats raised my fps was putting minimum frame to match my maximum frame rate. Im now getting 120 fps solid 4k ultra on a 3080ti. Simple and easy. You can adjust settings for your card but this is pretty much all you have to do
thats because the game is changing your resolution to hit that target, it might be a bit harder for you to notice because of your resolution on the monitor, but it adjusts the resolution if your not hitting your target
@@oscatMeow yeah that's what its doing but it works really well in this game that i don't notice any difference. With out it in just being around 70-90 fps and it won't matter if I'm on low, itll maybe give me 10+ fps lol low looks really good this game also
Can u please explain what async compute does? To get higher fps something usually has to be sacrificed. I want to know, what does async compute sacrifice?
Its just a setting which uses your gpu more efficiently. Normally this is built in in every modern game but you have the option to disable it in halo if you have any problems
hey troublechute do you prefer which one is better windows 11 or 10 i just reinstalled win 10 because i cant run valorant on win 11 because of the tpm and secure boot thingy but i feel that win 10 definitely more snappier on my pc

A tip i noticed locks me at 120 4k ultra but on a 3080ti is raising the fps caps to match in the settings. Highest you can go is 120 but fuck it 120 4k ultra in cool with. The helps alot
Hey,guys,so I recently bought Halo Infinite, before that I was playing multiplayer and it worked just fine on medium,as well as the linear levels (spaceships, etc.),they also work great, but whenever the open world starts first the loading screen (the one with the lightning) loses it's quality and becomes pixelated, and the gameplay becomes extremely laggy, and every few minutes the models (trees, guns, etc.) become low poly like they were drawn in paint or smth,I even tried playing on low graphics, but the problem persists,I also unchecked high res textures in the dlc tab on Steam, still the same.I have AMD RTX 570, 8 GB ram and my processor is AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Quad-Core Processor,4 cores,4 logical processors.Any solutions?
same issue with me and i have a 3070 ti. No fixes on reddit either just a bunch of people with the same issue. Not sure what to do, back to COD until they fix this.
Would u by any chance or anyone else know why “Windows Desktop Manager” while playing this game in windows 11 is at 10% CPU usage and how to stop it from hogging that 10% for no reason? I may be wrong but I assume it’s due to the lack of a full screen mode.
DX12 doesn't need the game to be fullscreen, but the desktop manager hogs cpu because its monitoring every program running on your PC, which takes resources
Same problem with my GTX 1080Ti. Except it's 96% everywhere, no less. Crashes the game on all menus, lowest settings across the board and maximum 84fps when standing still with very little happening on screen, staring at the sky, the ground, or the abyss. Drops to 60-76ish when actually playing the game. Drops to 20fps or less when browsing any menus at all. Sometimes menus crash the game. i9-9900K GTX 1080Ti 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM

@@JonelKingas I was also having this problem with a 5800X / 6800XT system until I updated my drivers to 21.40.03.01. I went from 75 fps to ~165 in a day by updating the drivers, deleting the high-res texture pack, and turning off really taxing settings like volumetric fog/reflections & lowering the shadows & effects settings. I believe game mode isn't good for those with AMD graphics cards. So if that's really true there should be a disclaimer on this.
(slight fps drop)
While I was waiting for my gpu drivers to install I listened to “Someone Like You” by Adele
This worked, gave me 15 more frames, THANK YOU
How well would it run on a asus rog strix g17 with an add ryzen 9 7000 series, Nvidia GeForce rtx 4070,64 GB of ram and 980GB of space?
