I am proud of you guys You and your dad seem to have an awesome relationship. Never seen so much smiles and laughter from 2 guys while working on the bike. Pops looks like he raised a good son. Let us know how fast the bike goes. I'm on the fence about buying a Grom or Z125.
Thanks for that. Yep we had a great time installing the kit. Speed wise it’s the same as I think it is computer controlled/limited, but it def comes up to speed more quickly.
Awesome video mate. Loved how the old boy couldn't stop smiling. It's great to see you guys having so much fun working together. Keep up the great work.
Man congratulations on a perfect job that is one CHERRY ride looks and sounds tough 👌🏼. I wish my father and I were close to each other and would share hobbies , just pretty much to bond with him ,but I guess some things ain’t meant to be but by me watching you guys it does fill that empty feeling. Hey buddy, i ordered the 143 w/ stroker crank and V2 race head, oil cooler, full clutch kit. $725 Already have 15/28 sprockets and new chain and new City Grip tires
Sorry to say I sold the bike for dad just last month. He is having balance issues. He and I were both sad to see it go. He had a blast riding the bike when he could, so that's the main thing 👍 no dramas with the bb kit or tune.
Hey pal, i have a question. Between the head and the manifold, theres that brownish/orange adapter. Well where that adapter mounts to that shiney silver part i can see a bolt hole but i cant see inside to see if there a bolt in there. What im asking is , is the orange adapter suppose to fit flush with the shiney thing its sitting on, have the same shape and angles? This is on the throttle side. Thanks. This is with the 143.
Can you do a test on your Z and tell me what RPM the rev limiter kicks in? I may raise it by 200. my z is in the shop at the moment thats why i cant do it myself. Thanks
The old boy told me the dyno guy said it made 14 on the tyre. Unfortunately he didn’t ask for a print out. Can’t wait to test ride it. Video of that coming out soon👍
@@Revmatch-mr2hu hey buddy, im getting the 143 kit with the stroker crank right now. Im thinking even with a sprocket change (15/28) we will still only be able to hit 73mph-74mph do to the rev limiter. Yeah you can raise the limiter but may blow up the engine. Do you agree with what ive said here? 72-74 ?
Yes the rev limiter dictates top speed as far as I’m aware. The old boy put on +1 on the front sprocket at hits limiter at 107km/h I think he said, and that was going up incline too. 2nd and 3rd gear is where it’s at after 5000 rpm he tells me. Raising the limiter might cause problems with little end bearing stretch but that is only hyperthetical. Best to talk to kit provider and go from there I think. Hope that helps. All I know is that your bike will be a BEAST!!
I'm not interested in increasing speed so much as not having to tuck to get to 60. Can I sit upright at 60mph (96kmph) without the rev limiter kicking in?
Hey mate. I’m no mechanic but the old boy and I did the bbk install in about 4 to 5 hrs tops. To do crank the engine has to come out and the cases split. Would add another 2 hrs at least, at a guess.
@@Revmatch-mr2hu ok. Thanks. So im thinking a good 8-10 hours labor @$90 an hour....😞it will prolly be $700 oh i forgot i also have the oil cooler to be installed
5yrs later this is still a great video 👍🏾
I am proud of you guys

Honda/Kawasaki wise, I think it would be best to take both of them for a spin and go from there 👍
I am an Automotive Service Tech and nothing better then a tear down and that first start!! Hairs standing dad says lol great!! Love that feeling!
It is a fantastic feeling for sure.
Awesome that u got to spend time with your dad doing this.
We had alot of fun 👍👍
@@Revmatch-mr2hu he still riding the bike???
No, sorry to say. He has lost a bit of balance so he thought it best to move it on. 👍👍
@@Revmatch-mr2hu good memories

Thanks mate. It was slot of fun putting the kit in 👍👍
Priceless moment when it fired right up. You guys rock 😁👏👍
Cheers. It was a great moment 👍👍
I like the green orange combo way more than I feel like I should!
Certainly different 👍
thats awesome. we have all seen the 143 cc buildups but you just dont see this type of fun between two people when doing it. great job guys.
Thanks for that. It was a lot of fun to do. 👍👍
I'm seeing a lot of 165cc big bore kits are those a good idea?
About to pick up my first bike, which is going to be a z125! Cant wait to eventually do some work to it like this! Thanks for the info mate!
No worries. You will have a heap of fun on your Z125 👍👍
Any new z videos ?
Classic reaction when it fired on the first try. 💚
It was a good laugh for sure 👍👍
Sweet. I want to do the big bore kit on mind wish I had some help
It was a fun install. Just an extra pair of hands is needed but with a bit more mucking around you can do it yourself. 👍
This video makes my day 🤙
Thanks mate. We had alot of fun 👍👍
I'm trying to put one on a 200cc wats da best one
Z125 is a sweet bike.
They really are a fun bike !

Really nice video! Can you make more video about this bike?
Thank you. It was a lot of fun to do. I will do my best to get some more on dads bike. 👍
What’s the big bore kit
TKes the piston and bore out to a capacity of 143cc from standard 125cc. More torque and a power than stock after tune. 👍
Awesome how many cc's is that new motor
The new barrel and piston takes it out to 143cc
@@Revmatch-mr2hu awesome
are your rockers noisey with that kit? mine are adjusted to spec and they are noisey
Hey mate. No undue noise from the rockers. Sounds same as stock.
Revmatch1970 i wonder why mine are, it runs right and everything just hear the rockers,
its really okay if i use 143cc bore kit only ? not full one just piston and cylinder blok
Yep all good to go but you will need a fuel controller and tune for it to go right.

I'm assuming you get much worse fuel economy now. Just curious... any idea what the delta on that is?
Nice

What brand is the bore kit ?
143cc kit from mnthbxx. It’s been dynoed and it rips. The old boy forgot to ask what it made 😂😂
@@Revmatch-mr2hu ok thanks, waiting for the follow up to this video 😀
The video will be coming soon 👍
@@Revmatch-mr2hu did you change to a different number spark plug ? With the kit
No. We just put the same plug in. I don’t think the tuner changed it. The old boy would have told me. Hope that helps 👍
that so cool u dad help u ,my dad never help me do dam thing

Hey mate. The limiter cut in on 2nd gear right on red line. Was out on it today. 👍
@@Revmatch-mr2hu do you know what RPM THAT IS? 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800 ?
