The End of the Journey: Camping in Snow, Mountain Biking, Prince George & Going Home | Go North Ep20

- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- It's the Finale! This episode wraps up our journey of 6 months in Alaska and Northern Canada. We wrap up with a few adventures along highway 16 including mountain biking at Burns Lake where we got snowed on. We also visited the Hazeltons and Nechako White Sturgeon Conversation Center before making it to Prince George, BC. We took a few days here to explore the town and do things like eat out at great restaurants, tour breweries, visit the exploration place, and hike in the local parks. Outside town we hiked the Ancient Forest and Teapot Mountain. We also visit the Huble Homestead for Thanksgiving and went horseback riding!
After all that we made the long drive back to southern California where we had started this whole adventure where we had started this whole adventure.

Hey Everyone! Thanks for joining us for this journey. Stick around past the credits for a special note that will only be available for the first few weeks this video is up.
It was definitely worth watching the special note at the end of this video! What an incredible adventure it has been! Thank you both for this incredible series.
I am so homesick for those places you went. It brings me to tears to think that we are going to be able to embark on a trip like this in a few years. Thank you for posting these videos. Simply incredible. P.S. Thank you for posting this end scene. It was worth the watch.
OCTOBER???? that was 5 months ago???
Mortons on the Move . Your videos are awesome
Whats the best way to contact you for question an specifications
We are planning to do a trip
For 6 months and this way is the best option for us (camper and truck )
From the pre-trip planning and development to the trip itself to all the post-production work, this entire series was STUNNING.
Thanks Rick! We're so glad you enjoyed it :)
Congratulations for the series!
Thank you!
Excellent Excellent!!!! I loved all your Go north videos!! I'm now wishing to go there!!
Thank you so much! :)
Narrating the stories and efforts about horses is ultimate
Hi. I am Canadian and live in British Columbia. I loved your Videos. It gives me an urge to see more of the far north. Thank you for the care you put into this series.
All I can say is - WOW! What a great series! I went to Alaska as a teen and watching you all travel there made me want to go again. The cinematography was absolutely breathtaking in places. Glaciers, bears, mountains, rivers, etc. all of it gorgeous! Keep up the wonderful work1
I watched your whole series as my family will be heading out from Southern Ontario to out West and up like you for the summer. The videos and your words just constantly came together so beautifully, and I hope we see everything you saw. I keep tearing up thinking of the adventures we will go on with my family. We will have 4.5 months and I know it won't be long enough, but we'll have to make do. Your series was just a joy to watch, thank you for that!!
Most underated channel.....it deserves more subscribers..viewers
While watching this Alaska/Canada adventure I had to continually remind myself this was not the National Geographic channel. I can only imagine the hours of work that goes into these videos. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you for one of the best Alaska adventures on You Tube. The quality and beauty of your production is 1st class. We did a similar trip in 2016 in our 24 ft class C minus the gravel roads and back country you guys enjoyed. It was nice to revisit the places we enjoyed so much. The urge for another visit s been awakened. It is clear your respect and enjoyment of natural. We also believe it's the journey and not necessarily the destination that counts. We came away the same love of Alaska as you did.
Thanks Bob! An Alaska trip like this sure gives you a new perspective :)
This is by far the best video series on traveling to Alaska. This series shows a lot of what is possible to do in Alaska, and since we were there during the same time frame, watching you two brought back a lot of great memories for us. Great job! We enjoyed running into you two in the grocery store in Valdez! I am ready to go back.
Yes it was neat to cross paths that way! So glad you enjoyed it even tho you saw the same stuff in person :)
Your Alaska series has been amazing! So sad to see it end, but can't wait to see you... TONIGHT!! NEW ZEALAND HERE WE COME! KIA ORA!!!!!! ✈️
:) thank you guys! We're on our way.
Wow, now that's letting the kiwi out of the bag! :)
Bravo Tom and Cait! Bravo! What a wonderful finale to an outstanding series! We are so very proud of you both (all - Mocha and Bella too!) and wish you fantastic journeys in New Zealand! Can't wait to see that series too, and everything else in between. Love to you all! xoxo
Thanks Guys! You know better than most how challenging putting this together was and we really appreciate all the support along the way :) Miss you!
Congratulations on wrapping up the Go North series! You guys pushed yourselves to the limit with your videography and it showed. Every episode was simply stunning!! We're so stinkin' proud to call you our friends and can't wait to see what you get up to in New Zealand!!
Thanks Guys, that means alot. We really appreciate your support through it and this and cant wait till we see you again :)
A wonderful view of a great adventure, thank you! ❤️🇺🇸
This was the best Alaska trip series I have seen. I'm sure it was an adventure of a lifetime.
Thank you! It definitely was an adventure we'll never forget! :)
We live in Fairbanks and have driven from Ft Worth, Texas (where our family lives) to Fairbanks 4 times and this has to be the most best and most accurate series I’ve seen on Alaska and the drive to get there
What a journey, for all of us, and all your editing and adventuring. Well done.
We truly enjoyed following your journey. Everything was lovely; the music, footage, planning, editing, etc. Thank you!!
Thank you so much Mortons for such an incredible excellent A+ job with this series! Wow loved it so much. I was so sad to see it end. The wife and I watched all 20. We went last year from colorado a life long dream, we only took off 5 weeks(Jobs are a problem) and went right at 10k mile. Went to Deadhorse and loved the Dalton. I sent your links to 5 of my siblings to watch all 20. I cannot say thank you enough again for the outstanding well documented narration and photography of this incredible Journey North. Loved it all. So glad to see a young couple do this trip right.
This series is amazing. We binged the whole thing in 1 day and our 3 kids were glued. Great job 👍👍
I'm so glad you all enjoyed it :)
I hate to see your Alaska-Canada travels end. Words can’t describe the beautiful job you have done for us rv folks. We have been full timing for 14 years. 3 years ago we parked our 5th wheel and now travel in our truck camper 8 months of the year. God Bless you both and safe travels.
Aww thanks! We can get it! We really loved the TC!
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Michigan is now my home. You guys should come out for a visit. COVID-19 is a problem here, as it is globally. We will get through it. When it settles down, come out for a visit. I promise that you will not be disappointed. So much to see and do here. You can even cross into Canada from here. I know that you guys are spiritually connected there. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure from Lancaster to the Arctic Ocean and back. Be safe and take care. Peace and love from Michigan.
We are both from Michigan and still have property there! Love it and are there frequently in the summer :)
@@MortonsontheMove Please be safe out there. I know the virus has hit California really hard. As of 3/27, it is dire here, especially in Detroit. Hopefully things will normalize by the summer, so you guys can come home for a bit. Peace and love. Dan. Benton Harbor.
I just binge watched this series - wow so well done content is top not as is the production quality. I love how you spend time in small towns and explore them rather than blast through for the tourist hot spots. You two have great chemistry and I love that you are both ‘real’ not made for TV personalities with fancy outfits and fake teeth. Keep up the great adventures and content.
Thank you for your kind words!
Spending time with you was the best part. Love you both. How can I get all 20 episodes?
Fantastic job Morton's - I thoroughly enjoyed watching all the episodes. The nature scenes were amazing !
Last evening we watched your final episode of "Go North". We have enjoyed your wonderful series very much. It is so cool that you are doing this at such as young age. It reminds us of when we traveled in a 23' class A for about 13 months through 27 states. I was 34 years old and our son just 6 when we started the trip, and my wife was his home school teacher.
We are planning a road trip to Alaska this summer in our Toyota Dolphin. Upon return we'll be sure to look for your adventures in New Zealand.
Wow what a trip! I lived in a Totota Dolphin for a summer once in college so I totally know that rig! Have fun!
Thank you both for your awesomeness!
My wife and I have just finished watching all 20 episodes of "Go North". Really enjoyed your exploits. Great use of the map and drone.
So inspiring! So beautiful ! with 1/4 of your adventure in the North I'll be satisfied! Thanks for sharing.
It's a treat watching your videos.
I am awestruck. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For the better part of my adult life I have wanted to do exactly what you have done and shared. You are an absolutely amazing couple with incredible talents. God Bless you both.
Thank you so much!
Just wonderful!!! Thank you.
We have just finished watching your trip to Alaska series. The only word I can use to describe this is “stunning”! The video work, the music, the commentary and of course the scenery was just brilliant! Best wishes for your next adventure! We did a Truckcamper Trip through BC and Alberta back in 2018. Both the vehicle and the scenery were fantastic! We do a considerable amount of touring in a campertrailer out here in Australia. Scenery is just a tad different, however!
Watched your Go North series over the weekend. Phenomenally well done, you two. Hope you are well, wherever you are currently hunkered down.
I love all those long drone shot. It looks amazing.
This has been a fantastic series. You did such a fine job portraying the culture of Alaska. The videography was superb. Having raised our family there, you brought back so many memories by sharing yours. Thank you so much. Happy Trails 🇳🇿
Thanks Bob :)
I watched every episode. National Geographic quality photography, Ken Burns quality of insightful documentary, innovative use of technology with the drones, time lapse sequences and best of all, two capable, seasoned adventures that always look for and see the best in the world and others. Your sponsors were smart in backing you with the best in RV equipment and you are wonderful ambassadors of the RV world. I wish you had your own regular TV show and look forward to meeting you at a RV show one day. Safe travels. Texas Jack
Wow thanks Jack, we're so glad you enjoyed the series and comments like these encourage us to keep doing it :) I too hope we cross paths some day :)
I watched every single episodes of going North thanks guys.
So glad you joined us :)
These videos are so well made, they pull me in. Thank you.
every bit as well made as any TV show you'd find on Smithsonian or Travel Channel.
Simply the best
We must say that we have throughly enjoyed all of these episodes! As we are planning our own adventure. Thanks a ton for all of the insight.
You're welcome! Glad the series has been helpful!
Such beautiful work!
Absolutely FABULOUS !! I can't express how much I have enjoyed your travels "GO NORTH"! And amazed at how you adapted to the truck camper. I'm very interested in what your conversation will be about the electrical power side of the trip.
Thanks again for a Great production!
Thanks Tom, We will be sure to cover that in the upcoming videos :)
A AMAZING heart felt finale to an AMAZING series. Such a fun and educational experience getting to watch Go North with the Mortons. We learned so much and took many, many notes. LOL! Thank you for your hard work and dedication making this FABulous series for us. Your editing and videography are on point! The writing and narration is top notch. I felt like I was watching a Travel series on a major network. Again, great job guys! Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to the next adventure! Woohoo!
Have a Glamtastic Day!
Peace & Love!
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🌈🌈
:) thanks guys were so glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your positive comments that help encourage us to keep at it! It was great to meet you in person and I'm sure our paths will cross again someday.
What a incredible high quality video. It's well organized and put together. Enjoy it very much. Thank you!!
Thank you for taking us along for the ride, truly been a pleasure to follow along
Just want to say how fabulous this video is! I’m only half way through, but had to stop to type this - you have so much incredible info in this - you could have divided this up into 20 videos so far - oh maybe you still can! Why haven’t I watched you more than once or twice... excellent!
Fantastic from beginning to end! Thank you for sharing!
wow I watch all your "Go North" episodes nonstop 10 Ep at a time 2 days.. Thanks for shearing. I must say 2 of you the way you guys explain is joy to hear.. so can go on on without been boring..keep up the good work. I think you guys did this trip in a nick of time.. Now traveling wont be that easy because of the virus. hope to see more stuff whatever you guys have planed in time to come.. be safe and enjoy life... By the way how is Mocha doing? hope she is doing good, please clean her ears and see if she is comfortable after that..
In preparation for our own trip to the Arctic Ocean, I began to watch your videos over the winter. We've been to many of the places you were and thoroughly enjoyed seeing them again through your eyes! I loved our northern travels (we went as far as Whitehorse) and can't wait to go back with our new travel trailer later this spring... I'll miss you two!
Thanks Lonnie!
A superb series! Beautifully shot, smartly edited, presenters who are fun to be with. Thanks!
Great series. Many thanks for the excellent production value and content. Safe travels...
You’ve done an incredible job sharing this trip with all of us. I’m just so proud that people like you both are out there, smart, self sufficient, caring-thank you both!
Thanks Linda, that means alot :)
Will definitely miss the truck camper. After this series, Alaska/Yukon will have to be added on the to-do list!
Several UA-camrs I watch went to Alaska this summer. Aviation 101, Matt Guthmiller, Shawn James and yourselves. All great shows and interesting seeing the same stuff with a different eye. Great series.
Those pilots have a unique perspective!!
MANY thanks from this Canuck RVer "wannabe" for allowing me to join you on your northern adventure.
Thanks also for the detailed, and thoughtful presentation of how our two nations are BOTH vastly different, and at the same time, so startlingly the same. We share not only language, and vast geography, but more important, centuries of history that erase those lines on maps that serve mostly to separate and divide peoples.
Personal props to Kaitlin for, unlike SO MANY, taking into consideration required warm headgear when properly using her cycling helmet.
The stories you have shared and the incredible professionalism in your production made your amazing journey so much more for those of us on the sidelines. Double "cookies" to Mocha and Bella, please.
And finally, WHERE NOW??
Sincere cheers from here, hard by Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada.....
Thanks Robert, this means alot :). And you are so right about the boarders. Thank you for your thoughts and being part of our journey.
Just one of the most incredible beautiful videos on UA-cam! Great Job!!!!!
I'm in the planning phase of a 5 month trip to Alaska! What an inspiration you are!
Roger Aka ExBassGuide
Great video and your camera work and editing was absolutely breathtaking! #MOTM
Dear Dude & Dudette (Tom & Caitlan)
I did watch your movie yesterday and I have to say I was thoroughly blown away by it. You all did a great job in all aspects of it!!
As I viewed it, I kept coming up with questions and I said to myself: Self, you should recommend posting a Frequently asked questions and answers section. Well I found it at the end THEN you added so much more, What a Christmas present!
I could go on & on but let me wrap this up with a short tale of my own that relates to your Porcupine incident and a recommendation.
I spent 20 years in the Navy and I had an assignment to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (3/86-9/88). We could have one vehicle shipped down or you could buy a Gtmo/Gitmo) hand me down. It didn’t take me long to hear about the Banana Rat (Hutias) problem there. Guess what they do, thats right they crawl into your vehicles underbelly/engine areas and wreak havoc on your hoses and electrical wiring. The cure all was to attach chicken wire around the vulnerable areas.
So that would be my recommendation for any future travelers. Of course there might be a nicer fix besides chicken wire.
This is an update to the message I left on your Merry Christmas email. I had recommended expanding your MM brand to offer consulting but I now see you’ve chosen not to go that route, so if you ever see that email, please disregard.
All the best,
Walter
Watched each episode from my home in TN while pondering my own bucket list trip to Alaska.....someday down the road. But at 57....I’m hoping not too far away some days!!! Very excellent presentation on all aspects. Loved the video, audio, narratives to keep us included along the way. Thanks!!!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! I hope you get to experience it for yourself someday :)
Excellent series
Thank you so much for sharing your Northern journey...well worth the effort & sponsors should be pleased with the content.
Loved that you spent time in PG, my hometown. My sister is a naturalist and helped to develop Cottonwood Island from a flooded out cheap/decrepit housing area to what you saw in October. I saw that you popped up to Connaught Hill Park...that is where our wedding photos were taken in 1979. Mr. PG was threatened a few years ago, someone wanted to do away with the corney dude, wanted a more sophisticated entity, but was saved.
Going to miss your northern travels but your style has my attention so onward to new adventures!
Thanks for the backstories! We had a good time in PG. That's funny about Mr PG, he is pretty corney but we get it, lol.
Beautiful shots, and so inspiring to get out there to explore the North. Thanks!
A truly professional production, enjoyable from beginning to end. Thank you!
I LOVED this series so much and I am sad that it is ending. Please do another one like this in another location. Your videography was stunning and your storytelling captivating!
New Zeland is up next!

I love elsa and barron , just starting viewing you guys . i love it and all you do, their number 1 and you guys are 2 thank you.
I need to thank you both for allowing me to accompany you on your Alaska trek. I can think of only one other series that was able to approach the value received from yours. It has been my pleasure to go up there multiple times as we live mid Vancouver Island and as such are much closer starting out. This late summer we are doing the Great Slave Lake, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and I'm like a 7 year old just prior to Christmas...I know I'm not supposed to squeal in anticipation out loud but can barely contain myself...Have fun in NZ!
:) this made me smile, so glad you enjoyed it and have fun on your next trip! We would like to do that drive too someday!
All the episodes Truly amazing, videography you did tremendously.. Great job... Everything explained very well... 👏👏
