This is by far the best video I have seen, and one of the few that I watched all the way through, well done, thanks for sharing. My wife and I had the privilege of visiting this area in 2015 and I want to visit again.
After living for 27 years in Alberta I have developed a connection to the Mountains which never left me. Now I am retired and living on V-Island, I still missing the spirit of the Mountains. Thank you for keeping that memory a live for me. I realy appreciate that.
My wife and I so enjoyed watching this video! In 2019 as a 40th wedding anniversary my wife dragged me kicking and screaming to all four of these parks. (I wanted to go visit my relatives in Newfoundland) It was also my retirement year. My wife had to drag me away from these beautiful parks I am so glad that we saw these awesome parks. I live in a quiet small Australian town. Next May i am coming to see Alaska for a good 2 weeks. On youtube i heard a man say, i won't go on the gold belt tram in Juneau as it is so uneventful. I don't understand people as each scene with amazing mountains is so special and i just can't wait for it to be nxt year already. Although my mum is limited in mobility (no excessive hikes unfortunalely), i deceided to add 4 days in banff to our trip. I am so looking forward to seeing everything in person. It has been my dream for over 20 years. I hope my mum finds it as awe inspiring as i will. And incase people think it is to expensive , in May we are paying under $1000pp for flight , hotel, guided tour one day of all the lakes. Shuttle from and to calgary and the banff hot springs for $20 .
Phenomenal extremely well done and enjoyable video. Excellent videography and background music choice. I can tell that you are truly passionate about your subject and you embrace my motto of “BE where you are”. I’m currently planning my third visit to the Canadian Rockies and found your video very inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world.
Wow thanks Tom I appreciate that. Yes, BE where you are. And honestly, editing this video brings me back to every one of those special moments in time like it's right now. One of the rewards to having captured that video is being able to re-live the moments with such clarity.
Great video. Very helpful for us to plan our trip next year. I did have one question though. What focal length lens would you recommend to be able to photograph bears the way you have? Thanks in advance.
Planning our first trip this summer. Can you talk about the seasons? Campgrounds? I’m so excited. We care coming up from the USA. Been to Glacier years ago.
Your cabin you are narrating from - what is the brand of that woodstove? I need to find one of those, looks incredible with that big glass window! Good combination of seeing the fire and heating that area. Thanks.
It's actually a gas stove! I had a wood stove for years but it was too much work keeping stocked with wood. But the flame in this one looks very natural.
wow! well done. I would love to learn from you on what lenses you use and what is your strategy for back round music. (if you use royalty free services)
I have yet to go, but my favorite place in Yoho National Park would have to be Lake O'Hara. I tried twice last year to get a bus ticket but was unsuccessful. I'm planning on forking up the money for 3 nights at Lake O'Hara Lodge for August of 2024.
@Insiders Travel Guide Canada I agree that out of all the top expensive places to stay in that area, Banff Springs downtown, Lake Louise Chateau, Moraine Lake Lodge. To me I rather fork up the money for nights at Lake O'Hara Lodge. I have to call in July to book nights at Lake O'Hara Lodge for August of 2024. I think 3 nights will be a good 1st time at Lake O'Hara.
The Canadian Rocky 's are very beautiful. You die a great job portraying them. I am from the Netherlands but wist i had been born Canadian. Is september a good time to visit?
Greeting, Great job, very much enjoyed. I am reaching out as I am at the very beginning phases of planing a horse pack trip from Glacier park in Montana to the southern tip of Alaska. Finding the route will probably take longer than the trip. I am reaching out to everyone I think may have some insight and contacts. My friends are asking me to set up a channel to video this whole thing, so if I do, to make it interesting would be to invite local people, first nation, historians etc. that can provide information / history of the area to ride along for a few days and have campfire chats,( if fires are allowed). Challenges to maintaining it etc. Would appreciate any advice or counsel you may have. Who knows, have you ever spent 3 weeks riding a horse from Banff to Jasper? :-) Would be a great video and promotional video for the park...just pondering. Thank you in advance for your time and thank you for the informative videos. Clear skies and safe trails. Greg
My husband and I just visited Banff recently. Got to see the Rockies and the prairies. I just fell in love🥰❤️❤️❤️ and since then I kept looking for videos that feature the Rockies. Grateful I found your channel. ❤
your video is awesome. my husband and i are planing to visit in May or June 2025. Will the lakes have the beautiful teal colors or will they still be frozen?
Good question! Many things actually. Just being there first of all. I spent over 10 years filming most of these shots and the wildlife came on their own terms. However, time of year, location, and time of day are the biggest factors. Get to know your critters. When are they most active? What are they eating at what times of year? So many things. I know you'll enjoy the journey.
Your video is a superb presentation of some of Canada's Rocky Mountain national parks but I'd say you made a common error and missed one of the highlights of the parks in the Rockies....Waterton Lakes National Park in the S.W. corner of Alberta and a partner park with Glacier National Park in Montana. A smaller park, to be sure, but no less scenic and (as it happens) an internationally recognized "Dark Place" nighttime sky viewing.
I agree 110% about Waterton Lakes National Parks. It's on my list and I plan on going there next spring and summer to capture it's incredible beauty. I love the cinamon bears there and Red Rock Canyon and so much more!
THANK YOU SO MUCH !....Oh I wish I could trade place with you...this is where I am totally at peace...in the middle of God's creation...I just cannot wait for the restored paradise, when we will be able to live in peace with all the animals and we will have forever to enjoy every corner of these marvellous parks...we might meet then (Leviticus 26:6) I will put peace in the land, and you will lie down with no one making you afraid; and I will rid the land of vicious wild animals, and a sword of war will not pass through your land. (Isaiah 11:6-9) The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, And with the young goat the leopard will lie down, And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; And a little boy will lead them. 7 The cow and the bear will feed together, And their young will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the bull.
My sister has lived there in jasper for 30 years . I bought 8 homes in jasper and making millions don’t even pay taxes 😂, you. Better be a billionaire if you want to buy into a hotel !, you forgot to mention that Canada does not own Banff !
I wonder if Bob Ross ever visited these Rockies. He loved Alaska, so I'm thiking these Rockies would blow his mind. Not to mention, he would run out of paints, literally everywhere is a post card. Sadly , I don't have any camping or hiking skills so I'm stuck in the city.
Me and my girlfriend did a road trip from Montreal to Lake Louise this summer. I miss the locals, the views and the peace every single day

Looking forward to finding griz in the spring 📷🐾 Thanks for the video
Looks like you know what you are looking for. Thanks for watching my video. I hope it was enjoyable for a veteran bear watcher. :)
Haha I'm still envious of you getting that footage of the big bruin some years ago on the 1a in late October. What a sight!
@@bearlycamping 1400 pounds of I own what I see.
You are going to have a great Summer! Will you be camping the whole time?
Yes. We have our 31ft fifth wheel. We don’t need hook ups. We have solar and generator.
I’m so excited. We love to canoe and do easy hikes.
@@InsidersTravelGuideCanada thanks for the response!
wow!
That will be an amazing 3 nights. Once in a lifetime opportunity that is well worth it.
Thank you so much! And yes, September is probably my most favorite time in the Rockies and a GREAT time to visit.
In June some of the higher mountain lakes may have some ice, but the ones that are thawed out, will be so wonderful to look at.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
We are heading there in the summer. Do you Do any guided tours?
What is the key to finding wild animals? I have tried to go to Colorado recently and didn't see anything but maybe a few deer
@@InsidersTravelGuideCanada Thanks!
I love the cinamon bears there and Red Rock Canyon and so much more!

where is that opening shot?
Up above the Bee Hive Lake Louise. Wonderful place!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH !....Oh I wish I could trade place with you...this is where I am totally at peace...in the middle of God's creation...I just cannot wait for the restored paradise, when we will be able to live in peace with all the animals and we will have forever to enjoy every corner of these marvellous parks...we might meet then
(Leviticus 26:6) I will put peace in the land, and you will lie down with no one making you afraid; and I will rid the land of vicious wild animals, and a sword of war will not pass through your land.
Gross
I wonder if Bob Ross ever visited these Rockies. He loved Alaska, so I'm thiking these Rockies would blow his mind. Not to mention, he would run out of paints, literally everywhere is a post card. Sadly , I don't have any camping or hiking skills so I'm stuck in the city.
