you are the great chanell that i found. im diving into fpv drones and using them. im quite beginner but trying to get my skills up. thank you for you for this video i would like to see more of these building video of drones )
I've watched a lot of videos on this topic before attempting to build my own quad, and I have to say mate, this is the best I've seen. Super clear, very concise and immediately useful! Thanks, Darren! 🙏👍
Exactly what I needed. Thanks mate, looking at doing my first receiver as I just bought a pnp. Where do you get your solder from and, if you have flux in your solder, do you need to apply flux before you start. Cheers mate
Hi I have a problem removing tin in my FC (ESC PIn ). The tin is very hard to melt even though the solder iron so hot. Do you know how can I check my board is okay or not? I worry I damage the board because of touching the soldering iron too long until get so hot
My found this month was some solder paste in a syringe. Uuuhhh old!!, I know... The clue is, that it really fast hardens under uv light/sunlight. Only need to dip in the cable tip, hold it on to the pad and give it a few seconds under uv. I actually bought it, to repair some ripped off solder pads, and it worked nicely and more efficient, than replacing the pad.
One other vital tool I recommend everyone: a solder sucker. They're so much better than solder wick. Mess up and bridge 2 pads? Suck it. Too much solder on a pad? Suck it. Did your BNF use crappy lead free solder? Suck it.

Where do you get the practice board? I'm about to start learning so I can try to build my first fpv dji 04 drone

You need to use flux and have a clean tip. Use solder wick.
I wouldn’t plug it in until you’ve removed it otherwise 💥🔥💣
My solder wire is sticking to the sotering iron after melting
That sound impossible :p unless your iron cools down while soldering?
Practice board where can I buy?
All Good FPV Stores!
Local FPV store...😂

I do want to make a video about soldering a drone with just solder paste. that would be interesting
The difference between a good solder and bad solder is usually just the fulx.
one more way, you can just fly, crash, repair and just keep on repeating these steps

I haven’t had any luck using a solder sucker, found they don’t work for me.
How did you get it to work?
