@@Eripme more like its a mix btw intuition and calculus of moves, i think a super GM can see like 8 - 10 moves ahead, and the intuition will do the rest
I think it's different when you are not playing yourself. If you were the one who placed his king behind three pawns, you'd be well-aware of not leaving your back rank undefended at any time.
@@graealex I did see the backrank mate, like I guess all of you. Antonios's polite "I know some of you wanted to (commit suicide in a winning position)" did sort of **repair** my damaged self confidence after not even considering the winning move, which he commented as "of course" Sorry for the wording, not a native speaker.
There's a move selection process if you're not solving these pause puzzles. First if you see a good move, that's not it. Look for the worst move you can find. If you can't find a bad move, look for b5. If b5 isn't available. look for an inocent pawn push.
This was beautiful, and not exactly what is normally expected from Anish. The were still many moves to play after the queen sacrifice and he could not have calculated to the end, not in a rapid format. He would only have calculated a few more moves ahead and felt the position was winning and went with it. This was definitely the best game I've seen here in a while.
I finally got one right and all I get is "congratulations on spottting that it's not really a free piece." I was hoping for "You are an excellent spotter of winning tactics in Giri games" or some such title I could use on a resume.
What makes this queen sacrifice so great is firstly it is in a rapid game, and secondly it's not an immediate win or checkmate, it's a longer win with a great finish at the end which is why it makes it so great
After not being able to find the correct move at a pause the video moment~ Self consolation: I am among the ones who are here to enjoy the game. Happy. 😁😁
Samay Raina is perhaps the biggest blessing to Indian chess this lockdown. The way a comedian has popularized chess is unbelievable. Indian chess can only grow forward from here. ❤️🙌🏻
Hey Agad, do cover CSL like you are doing for US championship. It's going to be one of the best leagues internationally in the coming years!! Much love
This is a masterpiece of a game!!! I wonder how far ahead he calculated… insane!! This is the kind of game one spends days engineering. Just for fun or something. Coolest game I’ve seen in a long time

on 5:55 Rxc4 cant be play because the other rook us under attack and would hang, they way you said after Bxh2 u just can simply move back your rook and defend, just pointing it out anyway awesome analysis and incredible game :D
For people wondering (or it just me) At 5:18 it looks like as if Abhijeet Gupta SACRIFICED A ROOK but i put it up on a analysis board and saw that after bishop takes rook you can just: bishop takes bishop on b4 after that black has to take back his bishop to not let it go too but after black does that you cant take the knight e7 So u gain a equal point advantage and also a better position that is why it wasnt a free rook
WoooW!! I didn’t have my glasses on when I started the video and I saw the pfp of the players and thought Giri was playing Daniel Ngrannue the poker player lol.. that was a Oh Sheeet what kinda game is this gonna be hahahah Daniel plays Chess?? Moment
at 6:12 when agad says black is completely busted (I think he means white is busted), but what is the continuation, as the king can escape and a queen, a bishop and a rook (9+3+5= 17), is only a 2 point drop on a knight, 2 bishops and 2 rooks (3+6+10=19)?
That’s crazy Anish calculated completely that the queen sac was winning in a rapid game.
It is scary, but I guess he calculated until Nd5, I guess this is visually enough for GM to asses that he has at least a draw
@@proosee he played for win and he calculated till Winning position becuz he wouldn't have sacrificed queen
After Magnus’ sac, Anish is just there to sac his own queen.

Always try to sacrifice something when Agad asks you to pause the video. That's how you get them.
Did Antonio just refer to Samay as "Rehe Samay" at the start? That's just his twitter handle, Agad :)

It's scary how good Anish is at chess. It's even more scary to think that Magnus casually sacs a queen when he plays against Anish 😱
Even Anish has sacked a queen against Magnus and won .... top players can see compensation in position or material for a queen
Absolutely stunning 😮
