"Congratulations on realizing this is a forced checkmate in 22 moves." Antonio subtly alludes to his channel being so famous that even super GMs watch his videos. ☺️
And sentient databases.
“Congrats on finding checkmate in 22 moves!”
-Beep boop beep boop
lol ...that's exactly what I thought when he said that .... i think 2 move ahead and i write chess player in my bio. 😂😂
"White plays g4 grabbing space on the queenside."
If u want to go to psiatric clinic practice a mate with 2 knight s or knight and bishop 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure Hari has been waiting for a 2 knights endgame right from when he was a kid.
Just goes to show how important it is to learn your endgames. Even a grandmaster can learn something. Great game
Yes , one of favourite endgames for sure.
Endgames are more important than openings...well until you reach such a high level that you want to quit chess for #9LX
Edit: to clarify, high is relative to your personal preference in when chess is no longer fun. For Magnus and Wesley they're as high as they can get so that's that for them. But maybe when they were still 2000+ chess was still fun.
Maybe for amateurs they find chess fun around 1400 lichess but stop finding it fun around 1700 lichess.
Even carlsen can learn something
@@nicbentulan who is so high rated that they quit chess for 960?
@@wicked5999 the legendary Bobby Fischer, you can watch vids about him saying how much he hated chess and created Fischer random, later named 960
I have never seen before this well known theoretical endgame where two knights mate a king coming up in a real game. This is incredible!
sergey karjakin did that long time ago OTB .
@@ziadoonahmed9160 I have not seen that game yet.
@@lalappanlolappan2605 Agadmator made a video on it I think
@@icefrip8680 Will search it out.
Karjakin vs Sevian
The way Maghsoodloo escaped mate is also impressive.
Yes. The way he manipulated the king side pawns to open up lines for attack was impressive. However, why the hell did he decided to go into that end game when he have 2 rooks. 😂
@@hannicutie0.0 4th rank Past pawn with two knights and a room Vs 2 pawns and two rooks. The black king was already in front of the white pawns, all checks were unfavorable, and you're a grandmaster who thought you couldn't get checkmated by two knights.
@@talphazero1036 I have to say that trading the rook for a pawn was a bit premature. He could have done what most of us would do, and that is to put the rook behind the pawn. Or at least trade the rook for one of the knights. Anyway, great game and it always takes two to create such incredible positions
His talent is in defence
By resigning? lol
Honestly, one of my favorite games ever shown on this channel.
Same
Agreed
Check out karjakin vs sevian 2018 it had similar ending but even better execution
you should watch more then
Interesting players, such rare, subtle positions and almost an brilliant escape to foil a fantastic attack and then it’s one square different by the king in the end game that is decisive.
Harikrishna was long time india No.2 after Vishy Anand. It’s just like people don’t care who landed 2nd on Moon. He is a very strong endgame player. You even have a 1 hour lecture on hari’s endgames taken by GM Ben Finegold in the St.Louis UA-cam chess channel. Hari is a highly positional and Most underrated player.
There's not such thing as an an underrated player, only if he were not rated at all.
@@petremanole9534 He meant Hari is not much popular according to his level.
Welcome to life my friend...
Check out a video titled "Five brilliant moves by GM Harikrishna". It features some brilliant mating/winning tactical combinations.
"And it was in this position that we have a completely new setup".
1k likes incoming
What a pleasure to finally see the infamous KNNKP endgame in a real game, and with a decisive result! I did drills in this before but the chess com computer didn't switch up the moves, so it wasn't very testing practice. Pulling this off against a GM and against the clock... Sheesh. Hats off to Mr. Harikrishna. Though I expect many of us were a little disappointed that Mr. Maghsoodloo didn't let it play out to that very pretty checkmate after b8=Q
WOW, I was on the edge watching this game. Took my breath away. Chess is the greatest game ever!!! These GMs are unbelievable!!!
It's incredible to see these types of endgames in real games between 2700+ super grandmasters as well, checkmating a GM with 2 knights is just bonkers as you can't force a mate with 2 knights. Harikrishna just showed a Zugzwang endgame where even with a pair of knights. But with his good coordination with minor pieces he could still get to checkmate!
You cant force mate just with two knight but you can force mate if opponent have pawn. Bcz no stalemate possible. Thats the beauty.
@@boredparticle0444 Note that 2 knights vs a pawn is not always forced checkmate due to 50 move rule
Imho this game could easily become a classic. Parham’s combination to dodge mate at 7:48, only for Harikrishna to later pull off a rare mate in 20+ with the two knights, was remarkable.
I correctly guessed Kg4. The next 21 moves to checkmate were a bit of a mystery.
Meh, we'll give it to you... congrats!
REALIZING that there is a forced mate in 22 really worth all the congrats in the world))))))))
He must have studied this endgame so, had a rough idea.
Not that he calculated 22 moves deep
@@shivgautam487 Sure) just liked the way he put it
Is Medo travelling with you? Is he giving you his usual advice on analysis of the games?
Prag is so good that he has his own tournament🤣
"And now its check mate in 22 moves"
I misses mates in 2/3 moves alot..lol
this should be branded as 'Immortal'' in my opinion, absolutely brilliant
It's not very innovative for an immortal
@@oscaro.172 eh
@@oscaro.172 Literally game of the year material lol
It's a standard checkmate. It's just rare since it requires you to actually know how to mate with two knights.
We call Hari 'Endgame Wizard'. This video shows why
ive never even seen the two knight checmate...didnt think it was possible...the releasing of the pawn at the right time was incredible *genius* even
This was one my fav endgames ever
Did anyone notice that little robot on right side bottom. It has also changed.
Anyway AGADMATOR is looking nice.
He had also excluded some top donations?
It may be an old background on a portable computer that hasn't been updated
@@RenzoRosales_FL yes, earlier background was like this.
@@randomsircle so this is an older video that's had its resolution upscaled?
@@randomsircle sorry lad! Your pawn was blocked by the knight until the last four moves.
I was concerned at first that this strange setup would not be 60p, but then I realized that it was indeed 60p and all was well.
This match shows how important it is to study Endgame!!
When he said you need at least one pawn to force a checkmate with two knights, I thought Harry would force the White King into a position where the pawn blocks the King's escape square. But it turned out you need the pawn to avoid stalemating the White King! Wow, amazing endgame. 👍
Thanks! I was looking forward to see this game covered!
Hari krishna is a safe bet in endgames.
He is called one of the best Endgame player for a reason.
Best Endgame player?? Ever heard about a guy named Magnus?
@@AjayKumar-cp6gz lmao don't try to be smart when you lack comprehension skills.

When You Convert Forced Draw To Forced Checkmate !
What a spectacular Game.
Parham saw that Ra6 prevents checkmate after Ra8+ lands when he thrusted h6. Even Rxf4 was spot on! Inspite of that, losing by being tempted to grab opposition with Kg7 instead of Kh7 is quite unbelievable, but goes to show how complicated endgames can be. Beautiful game!
It kind of shows that he was not certain in two knights ending
Hari is one of the greatest endgame players of his generation
No doubt
This is also a very very rare set-up not seeing you in your usual chair or Medo at the back 😂
Gorgeous. This made my brain sizzle. Thanks Agad. Safe travels.
I wished yesterday that Antonio should cover the end with a 2 knight checkmate...aided by Parham's pawn !!
That is a magnificent game, thanks a lot for showing and explaning us
definately some horsing around in this one. amazing how one moment it's forced , the next it's lost, and then it's favorable.
2:50 Knight to B6 would certainly be a hell of a move lol love you Agad
Woah, taken aback by the new setup, felt like a different realm
Reuben Fine in Basic Chess Endings explains the Troitzky line. I lost the YT link to a video of a Troitzky composition 4 Knights winning against a lone Queen. Korchnoi in his translation of Horwitz Endgames has added Troitzky's full analysis of 2 Knights against Pawn
I just witnessed one of the best endgames ever happened in the history of chess!!!
Watched every vid since 2018. This game melted my brain.
This is draw for me due to insufficient intelligence...............
Hari is leading along with leim with 3 point with this win.
Breaking through on the king side sacrificing pawns just to get the rook defending the king was astonishing by Parham
Very good presentation... thanks
Well done, Hari. Great game
Amazing how endgames are so complex that two grandmasters can both mess up an endgame involving just 5 pieces.
#Suggestion Harikrishna's Rd 1 game against Vidit... It features Agad's favorite b4 pawn sacrifice
i had never seen this endgame thanks ant for covering this

This is the second time we've seen this endgame on this channel
Amazing stuff
Is agad on vacation?? Love the backdrop switch up though, makes me remember how important and beautiful of a chess reviewer agad truly is
[The engine says it´s a equal position] 3:45
Opponent: plays Knight to A4
Me: "sillly move, ur Knight is on the rim. I play pawn to G5"
Opponent: "Knight to B6. Check and incidentally, mate"
Me: "what just happend here?" 🤭
Fascinating game, thkz Agad
We need more videos to enjoy 🙌
I was wondering if it would be bishop and knight, or two knights vs a pawn. So much to take away aside from the interesting endgame!
Capa would surely stamp his approval for this one and make a written analysis for it! Wonder if he ever had such a difficult problem!
King and two knights vs King and pawn from the worst possible position with best play is winning in 96 moves, buy before move 50 you must force the pawn to move or capture other pawn or piece.
I watched one of Agadmator 's "Queen's Gambit" videos where he said that a game was based on a real life game with a changed end game. I think this game is dramatic enough that it would be a good candidate for a similar TV/film in the future!
Absolute masterclass
2:50 crazy knight skills
😁😁
That's just so beautiful!
I thought Agad won't make this video so soon. Thanks for the quick upload
Brilliant endgame by Pentala
That was a cool endgame for sure. Getting addicted to watching these videos now...smh. Agadmator for President. #Thebest
Reminds me of Karjakin vs Savien which you covered before.
only deference is that Sergey played the pattern like a machine with no mistakes.
Watch it again. Karjakin wasn’t perfect either but still prevailed.
7:48 + this is an incredible combination!
Best game ever on this channel.
This is awesome. I recently looked at two knight mate and if it is possible
Very impressive game. I learned alot.
Amazing moves from both sides, that checkmate idea was amazing also good defence by Magsoodlo
Feels like we’ve seen a similar game back with Karjakin vs Sevian
ua-cam.com/video/ZjucI_dWkQg/v-deo.html
quite a game! thanks for showing it
I remember you make a video on a game between Sergey karjakin and another grand master in Which karjakin was playing white and the game reach exactly like this end game where Sergey karjakin had two knights and a king against a pawn and a king. Sergey karjakin won that game. You should have put a link to that game in the description below 😊😊😊.
ua-cam.com/video/ZjucI_dWkQg/v-deo.html
Excellent play. Exact position of Sergey Karjakin's game 😎
which engine do you use, agad?
This is one of the best endgame I’ve ever seen!
Troitsky is surely smiling from beyond... WOW
@agadmator, can you make the video of Yestrin vs Berliner 1965. Can you post correspondence games as well?
Anyone else notice that the Top Contributors list is seriously out of date?
Very educative
I just remembered the game Sergey Karjakin vs Samuel Sevian where Karjakin checkmated the king using 2 knights and Sevian has a pawn
This endgame is incredible!
B8 promoting to the king actually saves game for White, congratulations to everyone who found it))
When the only legal move is to promote the pawn but you are still getting checkmated !!
It is great to have a tournament named after 'Prag'ganandha this early in his career.
Thank you Big Ant!
That deadpan delivery of forced checkmate in 22 moves.. Agadmator is lowkey hilarious.
Hi Mr. Agadmator!
Have you ever encountered a game in which after reaching a new position the game transposes back into a known one? Where would you mention they have a completely new game then - at the first unique position, or after the last known?
"congratulations on realising this is actually a forced check mate in 22 moves"
...yeah... Sure... How could you not see that, right :3
Antonio today is like those engines that call your move a blunder because you didn't see a forced mate in 27
Lol lol hari won the game superbly but still you are blowing Parham's Trumpet.
i wish you very nice travels antonio
Even Super GMs need to brush up

It's the best, that night move at end is just epic.....
