I wish I was in the market as I think Hyundai deserves to be rewarded for making this incredible series of N cars. The sedan is the one I'd choose, but all are great in their own right.
All car manufacturers should do this.No excuse with modern tech.Plus--stock engines even in powerful cars are generating about 50% or less then they can handle.They race these in GT class and they have over 500 HP--twice as much--so a stock kona N floored all the time is only using about half of what it can handle.I just bought one of these and it is great.The wet DCT is perkier then an auto--but after 2 days i am use to the nuances of it.Toyota and honda should offer a 10 year 100k-I owned a honda crosstour for 10 years and not a hiccup ever in it.
You must love horrible plastic interiors that look like they were designed for a Kmart catalogue then. Honestly people have no taste anymore when it comes to quality.

I just got a cyber grey kona n after many years of turbo subies. So far so good 👌🏼. Only thing I'm not that impressed with is the plastics on the outside. The little flares on the guards,a few parts on the bumper, they're kind of warped lookin or have low/uneven spots. Also the trim around the windows ain't that great either.
That turn radius tho, PAIN. Wish it was RWD if they weren't going to make it AWD I think the power is ok but honestly it's only the stop to take off where you can feel the speed people attribute to fast cars. Once your at highway speed, it's ok. I use that button as a pass button btw.

Give a crap about the kids until they can get their own car! My dad had me in the back of a 03 Eclipse GTS for years until I could drive and I only remember how much fun it was, lol. Those practical things are for adults to worry about. I wanted the Elantra N, but living in the northern states will make the Kona N with its raised body, heated seats and steering wheel, the PERFECT snow terrain countryman's sports hatchback.
My wife just totaled her Corolla S. So we were waiting for the Corolla GR. But for the money we are gonna try out Hyundai why not? In a true car enthusiasts so I'm not brand loyal. So we were going to buy thr Elantra N but decided we wanted a loft crossover/hatchback so we are getting the Kona N. Just waiting for 2023 models to hit dealers and for insurance to total out her Corolla and we are buying one.

Hyundai are clearly eager to impress with this. Just like the Kia Stinger, these are not pitched as grocery getters like their lower price point models. Tell them not to view them through the lens of the brand name.
I know this vids old, but I have a 2023 KN in the USA and it does not nearly sound as loud as yours in this video, is this because we have 2 resonators, and you guys have 1? Maybe it just sounds different on video but it sounds like yours pops much louder than a stock USA KN

I got the 2019 kona limited. 1.6 turbo. I want to trade it in for the N lol. I only have 16K miles on the limited too. I already paid it off tho. Ugh. It’s thunder grey Looks the same too

I have a 2022 Kona Limited. I was in the Hyundai dealership the other day and they had a Kona N on the showroom floor. I'd love to say that I wished I'd waited so I could get the N, but at $46,000 I'll stick with the Limited. Looks fun, though. Wish I could afford it.

Picked up my Kona N this week, whilst it does burble and pop a little, nothing like this one. Was the one you reviewed stock or had it been modified? Have played with settings and I’m in the right mode.
You got an LSD, Just get a good set of snow tires and you're set. FWD are being used in heavy gravel/snow rally and they work. If that isn't a good enough evidence then idk... Most people here won't even encounter snow deeper than 2 inch with most roads plowed before they even go to work. I happen to be unfortunate to encounter an unplowed CT, USA highway during the winter in my 1995 toyota celica ST MANUAL 5 SPD. FWD no LSD, all season tires, and it's 26 yo stock suspension. I drove fine, you just gotta learn the skill to drive. For those that do have deep snow there are other options.

But with the current rise in the prices of vehicles and not a pay raise seen in the horizon, many of the hatches I wanted to get in the US market have been out of my budget. It's such a shame.
I just bought one, have you seen the prices of any other cars? A GTI I can't find for under 50k, a Golf R for under 61k and that was pretty much my choices as the others don't hold a candle to the Kona N. Which I got for $38,699 way under MSRP and all I did was be nice and ask for what I wanted.
A regular Kona is not even the same as a Kona N, the N is the only model that has 30% more rigidity than the regular Kona chassis. = not even comparing the same field.
They're getting too expensive. I bought my I30N for $38k now they're fetching $50k.. I remember when $50k would get you a supercharged FGX XR8.. how times have changed. Has anyone else had a $15/hour pay rise ? I certainly haven't.
Will they hold their value though? Don't care for the Asian tastes styling. Kia do a much better job on mass appeal. Fancy Hyundai of all makers going out on a limb with those noises.
Look at the original I30N it’s held it’s value amazingly… hard to tell with current pricing but I’d say you would be pretty safe though your warranty period anyhow

We have the two resonators here in Aus. Though I've also heard the second one here in Aus does nothing. Just left the body of it in there. I believe one of them in some countries is a gpf or whatever they call it.

Have you seen the interior of american cars? I work with Chev/GM and Ford for american brands and they don't really have the best tact, visual, touch. I will say the cheaper Korean brands are doing much better at "hiding" the cheapness in the right places.

Have you seen the interior of american cars? I work with Chev/GM and Ford for american brands and they don't really have the best tact, visual, touch. I will say the cheaper Korean brands are doing much better at "hiding" the cheapness in the right places.
