Are u telling me a bad white rapper, got a bad "kid and play" hair cut, got ears on his head, turned bad break dancer, got married, joined the military and immediately quit, had a kid, got divorced, turned back into a bad white rapper, became a bad tattoo "artist", went back to being a bad dancer, became a bad DJ, joined a band that rhymes with"Chimp Wizkit", burned out as fast as Woodstock 99' and made the best Devan Sawa movie and Worst John Travolta movie simultaneously.....thats the origin story for Fred Durst? Ok..that tracks!

i love it so much!! i ask for cd’s for christmas and my birthday. it’s the best ever.

The real issues of the Woodstock ‘99 festival have already been revealed. Much of the festival had the fans standing on hot concrete, they charged ridiculous prices for water and made it hard to get, and also did the same with food. I’m sure “Break stuff” might not of helped but the lack of food, water, and excessive heat had already taken the toll on the audience before Limp Bizkit came on. Red Hot Chili Peppers were the ones to first notice what was going on and address it. The producers of the festival should have been the ones blamed and held accountable. There’s a documentary on it.

Never understood the hate towards LB. Their songwriting progress by far surpasses most of the metal being released these days where everything is formulaic. No other band sounded back then like LB, no other band can sound like them. Great guitar riffs, drum beats coupled with cool bass lines, and once you get past Fred Durst's douchebaggery, you can find some great lyric content there. Any band would kill to have the combination of talent LB had. Yes, had, because everything after Chocolate Starfish has been nothing to write home about.

I’m an old school metal head. I started listening to metal back before Priest sharpened the heavy metal sword. Around 1978. I was there when NWOBHM swept through and there to witness the birth of thrash/speed/death metal. I loved it all. When nu-metal hit the scene, I was open to it. But with Pantera reigning in the 90’s, nu-metal wasn’t my “go to” metal fix. But I did enjoy Korn, Static X and Limp Bizkit and Hed Pe (criminally underrated) . And even purchased their CD’s at times. I would gladly support any band that keeps heavy music alive. Today, at 56 yrs old, I still like any band that plays heavy music (metal core, death core, whatever ) Currently listening to Slaughter to Prevail, Lorna Shore, Wage War and some Emmure. And there’s thousands of other killer bands out there making contemporary metal. I don’t try to sub-categorize metal into a million different genres. If it hits you in the face like a nail spiked baseball bat, it’s metal. This old dude is just happy to see young kids keeping music heavy. When I see young bands headbanging likes it’s 1984, it gives me faith in humanity. Metal heads need to stick together. There’s no room for metal elitists when the chips are down. I’m just glad there’s a younger generation ready to answer the call. Go heavy or go home. Metal for life, FTW🤘🏻

People mistook the character he was in the band for his real person, he was blamed for what happened in Woodstock 99 and the accident in Big Day Out. Even his feuds in the music industry are justifiable, Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson made fun of him, Christina Aguilera was ungrateful with him, Britney denied her relationship with him and he was accused of being a liar, and her feud with Corey was to defend her friends from Korn in which Slipknot started the feud, not to mention that he didn't even make those comments publicly. I’m glad I got into Limp Bizkit before knowing anything about them or about the hate they faced, so I had a completely unbiased opinion and I can say that I loved them from the first time I’ve heard them, they have a very unique sound, even so different from the other bands in the same era.

Watched them at Milkbar since 1995 when maybe 20 people were there. Had a tattoo done by Fred at Westside Tattoo and was there when he met Johnathan Davis swapping tats for demo tapes. It's a great story. They blew up when I left for the military. Next thing I know they were everywhere because of "Faith". Although "Counterfeit" and "Stuck" was their best songs. Very happy and blessed to be part of their beginnings.

We seen bands like Blink 182, Sick of it all, Bad Fish and No Doubt, The sound LB had and their look ( Wes Borland) stood out from a crowd of many popular artists that played that day. At the time DJ lethal was not present in the group. instead it was someone else I couldn't ID.

Nu Metal still was hot in the mid 2000's with Slipknot Vol. 3 and Disturbed Ten Thousand Fists... System of a Down, Static X, Mudvayne, P.O.D. and others kept it going in the 2000's with good releases, maybe not as successful but secondary to whatever was #1 at the time (Emo??). As all the Nu Metal bands slowly attempted to change their sounds, distance themselves from the title and experiment like Linkin Parks Midnight 2007 album but even that has a few tracks I'd consider were unintentionally Nu Metal. The bands you mentioned that came after the Nu Metal waves was a straight up downgrade lol.. I put the Nu Metal era above the Grunge peak, the success of Nu Metal rivals the commercial success of metal in the 80's. It didn't come to an end January 2004 though Nu Metal could still be found and heard for the rest of the decade.

How come you missed Nookie - the biggest single by LB and one of the most notorious songs of the late 90s, didn't talk about LB's biggest record so far "Significant Other" which is a 7x platinum album (bigger than Chocolate Starfish) that single handedly catapulted LB to stardom, not even a word about My Way, Behind Blue Eyes or other Bizkit's timeless classics, didn't mention the several featurings with prominent rappers that brought Metal and Hip Hop together and redefined a whole Era on mainstream music, completely ignored Gold Cobra and the most recent LB album "Still Sucks" and the band's new life?? I love the documentaries about bands on this channel and I was super excited awaiting for this one regarding the biggest Nü Metal band ever, but after watching it I feel kinda disappointed. As a 38 year old metal head i was right there for these times.. im more into Pantera, fear factory, old school metallica stuff but Limp and korn definitely deserve credit for everything they have done for the metal scene in general.. Pantera saved metal in the 90s then korn, limp and manson took over from there... Pantera is still easily the best tho... Rock on people..🤘

Dude I went and seen Korn last summer. One of the biggest concerts I’ve seen. I didn’t realize they were still that big. I’ve been dragged to popular pop/ rap concerts that didn’t nearly bring the same amount of people and the energy they got from the crowd

Saw them at Ozzfest 98.They had really just blown up a month or two before that. And were headliners. With MegaDeath, Soulfly, and Tool on the main stage. The small stage had Incubus, Snot, Hed PE, System of a Down. My first big concert that lasted all day into the night. As a teen. Crazy ass day. I saw so much insane shit in the crowd.

I remember going to this huge house party in 2007 while in college...this house had so many people in and around it I couldn't believe it still stood. The guy hosting the party had this kickass sound system in his house. Suddenly "Counterfeit" started coming over the speakers and as soon as it kicked in, the place just went nuts and it ended up being the best party I ever went to. It was a super diverse crowd and Limp Bizkit took it up ten notches and for whatever reason it never stopped being crazy after that.
