What are your thoughts on Big Boy Boxing? I need to learn when you need to hit the fighters to activate the thunder (a Star on Classic Punch-Out) so I can then do Super Punches but other than that it's stupid silly fun in my opinion.
I love the idea of a successor to Punch-Out, so naturally this got my attention. But it still needs a lot more polish to be in line with those games.

Fun fact there are 2 excellent punchout nes rom hacks phred’s cool punchout and phred’s cool punchout 2 turbo. Completely changes all the fighters and changes the patterns. They are the best options for a new punchout experience. I play and beat the original mtpo once per year to prove I still got it as a gamer lol.

This game reminds me of Wade Hixton's Counter Punch on GBA. Similar art style and strange opponents. Thanks for the playthrough of this game.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft They did a new one for the Wii and looks like I missed one....Ultra Punch-Out for the Switch was out in 2022? How did I miss this?
@@PDubsArcadeLoftNevermind. The Ultra Punch-Out says it was released, but it was just a fan idea. So yeah, the Wii was the last one! Ridiculous!
I hope the game supports D-Pad controls on release. I'm not a huge fan of analog inputs for 2D games.

That was Vanilla Beast Retro Knock-Out - the problem with that one is it had the Art Style of Punch-Out! but was a boxing simulator fighter - versus this game is stupid arcade fun - just like the original and the NES game.
What happen to that other boxing game that was gonna come out on da IIrcade ? Y’all never talked about it again after iircade died.
Vanilla Beast Retro Knock-Out? I covered that game BEFORE iiRcade even licensed it and I covered the game when it was released on Steam. iiRcade had nothing to do with my coverage selection. That game was released on Steam and although "looks" more like Punch-Out than this game it definitely was a boxing simulator versus a arcade boxer. Lot of people didn't like the difficulty.

Probably even better if you could actually customize your character!I mean it is your character that it's going to be in the Ring fighting and you going to be doing all the hard work so the credit will go to you unlike in punch out you fight as little mac so all the hard work that you did including beating Mike Tyson all credits will go to little mac not you!

Did you see the Coach Skank fight? There is also a boss where you only have 1 health throughout the fight.
Surprise Surprise the main character is black....every game is jammed with DEI. Aside from thar this games a pass. Way to easy and not on the level of mike Tysons punch out. No strategy really at all. Boo
You should check out Vanilla Beast Retro Knock-Out then if you want a Punch-Out experience with harder fights and a white boxer
@PDubsArcadeLoft the difficulty looks lackluster but it's not so much I want a white boxer, it's that this bs that's been pushed in video games for the last 6 years plus has gotten to be too much. Every game now needs to include blacks, gays, trans, Hispanic that it is beyond forced. I honestly don't know how you ever fix this issue now. Back in my day (im in my early 30s)I played games when this shit wasn't pushed for the sake of diversity but for the artistic ideas of the developer. I know my Comment comes as off putting but I'm just over everyone having to be inclusive for inclusive sake and fear of being canceled by an extremely small minority. I love plenty of games that either have a women lead or non white lead but now a days it's few and far between. We desperately need to stop DEI and cancel culture and let developers make their games with no fear like they used to.
