Question: Why'd you cite Cuphead as a game that this one is similar to when it feels more like a Humongous Entertainment game (i.e. Pajama Sam and Freddi Fish)?

Punchout: has you fighting quirky but otherwise generally serious boxers. This game: Fight a bunch of kids! Fight your local washed out failure! Fight a bloated barely conscious water-stuffed guy! Fight that weird man from the sewer!
I feel like the Cuphead inspiration isn't so much stuff in here that feels like it's from the Rubber Hose time period as it is drawing inspiration from Cuphead's commitment to accurately recreating a time period's vibes. Cuphead feels like it could be a 1930sish animation, this game really feels like it could be a 90s game or cartoon.
Yet another in the great line of indie games born from the idea of “if they won’t make another game in my favourite series, I’ll do it myself!” The same school of thought that brought us such gems as Bug Fables, Pizza Tower, Antonblast, Axiom Verge, Wargroove, Blazing Chrome, Flipon, Lisa, Undertale, Omori, amd countless other great games! I’m so looking forward to this! Indie devs do what AAA don’t.

Something about Mr. Adyltmen is so charming to me, just the realistic jank and mechanics are so unique, but titanic 5000 is such a good idea and also pretty fluid, but what it has that adyltmen doesn’t is the most GODLY soundtrack I’ve ever heard sweet goodness why the fricking fracking machine does it go so crazily hard
I hope we get to fight Titanic when he's lucid at some point. It hardly feels fair fighting someone who drank a near-lethal dose of water and chlorine. That being said, the animations are great with this. You can see the rage in Trigger Happy's face, you can tell exactly how Freezy Boy feels about his helmet getting knocked off, and you can see just how painful getting hit in the butt is for Coach Skank. This project is definitely one I'm gonna be following.

Edit: Wearing a dress, a head accessory and high heels(which might just be one whole attire infraction), no clear line between her torso and legs, damaging the ring with her hammer, rage issues, obvious poor sportsmanship, and oh yeah THE GIANT FUCK OFF HAMMER, which is two infractions! One for bringing it in, one for actually using it. So... eight?????
I did Mr adyltmen: so first off, he’s wearing a coat, which is not a tank top or approved clothing, he wears a hat and glasses which are both head coverings, as well as non-approved boxing shoes, oh, and before I forget that there are LITERALLY 3 KIDS IN A TRENCH COAT, so that’s two infractions for outside influence because one of them could be the real fighter, they are also all underaged, so an extra 3, not to mention the pillows and boxing glove gun, there are (I’m assuming) 5 pillows plus the ones thrown at you, which is also interference, so a whopping 7 for that, plus two for the glove gun, (intent and doing it), adding the fact that they lied to the league official/bouncer implies that they didn’t go to a proper weigh in, and since they’re kids, they likely didn’t properly wrap their fists, so that is literally 22 infractions, Aran Ryan was beat by literally 3 children, 2 points
It's probably appropriate to the NES era that the first boxer looks suspiciously like a pop-culture character. Specifically, Darla Dimple from Cats Don't Dance.
The Mega Man vibes in the battle themes are heavier than the Titanic 5000, and the music/art overall is INCREDIBLE. Not only that, but it looks like the rest of the game will keep up the music/art standards while improving on the difficulty!
I really love the game, the characters and the style, my only complain is if the fights are too short, like some fighters wasn't even able to react to your strikes

it does look pretty good, but the attacks are heavily telegraphed. one thing i liked about punch out was you had very little time to dodge, and you had to get a hard read on everything enemies did. this game, though, you get only 3 hits you can take. seems pretty cool though
Everybody's talking about the first girl so I'm gonna bring up something I'm not sure anybody noticed since it's nowhere to be seen in the comments- Titanic 5000's name changes to Titanic 3500 when he gets weighed the first time and reverts back to 5000 after he gets weighed the second. Just a nice detail :)

something i hope they fix for the official release is the grammar, like when Cousin Skank says "can i lend." it's not as significant as graphics or mechanics but the importance of dialogue can be very subtle. amazing game and animation though, can't wait for it to get a full release
I feel like animations and expressions with 90's inspired themes need to tone it down a tad with the over-the-top moments. I love how stylized indie games are getting these days and I absolutely love games that use classic Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon styles, but sometimes less is more when it comes to the expeessions and slapstick. Imo it's done too much in this game and it's more tiring than refreshing
