Steve Irwin would pass away only 4 months after Season One finished airing. Feels very surreal to see him filming with Bindi, knowing he’d be taken away so soon after. :(

Steve Irwin! His daughter Bindi just had her first baby girl, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, "Warrior Irwin" is tribute to Steve! I remember being a little older than Bindi at the time and watching Steve Irwin on Animal Planet. He taught me so much! Still remember the sound of "Crikey!"

My goodness... Steve Irwin... It's been so long and yet I'm still rather in disbelief that he passed away... like it was all just a bad dream, but unfortunately it wasn't. : (

@@destinysuggs9023 Steve Irwin was that one guy who would go into any and every situation with nature, but he was really famous for going tow to tow with crocodiles... he resuced them, cared for them and travelled around the world to educate people not just on crocs, but all manner of wildlife. He had the nickname "The crocodile hunter", because he knew where to go, look and what to do... sometimes he would just dive right in the water which was insane. Steve and his family did loads of tv educational shows as they run Australia Zoo, but he even travelled to do talk shows and films. Steve passed away in 2006 due to a heart injury with a stingray whilst filming a show about the great barrier reef. His wife and two children... who are now adults run Australia Zoo and continue to educate the world at the zoo and on TV.

I was a full on grown adult, nearly 30, crying like a baby when Steve passed. When you grow up with someone like that, someone who taught you so much about so many things, It really does feel like a tremendous personal loss.
He was my hero when I was growing up. I was in shock when I found out he passed. I'm still sad about it. He would have been so happy to find out he was going to be a granddad.

@@katiezewe1846 my mom called me that day to see if I was ok bc she knew how upset I would be. Of all the heroes to have, he is the best! Not a bad bone is his body and you can still see that in his children and no doubt, grandchildren.
I was about to turn 22 when it happened and it hit me real hard. I still get choked up about it.
My eldest is a few months younger than Bindi, and I remember being so sad for her when her Daddy died. You could see how much they adored each other❤️
I was in elementary school when he died, I was so sad. I remember the episode when he son or daughter was being born and he was worried he was going to miss the birth because of a storm. I watched him everyday on Animal planet and watched Bindi’s show a little bit when she was young.
Didn't realize Bondi Rescue has been around long enough that Steve Irwin was on an episode. What a legend.

Steve passed away when I was a kid & it's still bittersweet to see old vids like this. He was so passionate about life, family, & animal conservation that I think the loss of his spirit impacted half the world. He was my hero & as a stranger who still feels that sense of loss, I can't fathom the hole it left in his family. RIP Crocodile Hunter & blessings to the Irwins

Seeing Steve Irwin and his daughter made me realize how long ago this episode was. Steve was a treasure so sad that he is gone.
I’d like to give a special thanks, and and acknowledgment to the Bondi Rescue camera people! I’ve seen numerous times where they also helped keep people from drowning, and have given us great footage of the lifeguards in action.
Oh this episode with Steve and Bindi broke my heart, to think she just had her own little girl ♥️
I think we all find it really sad… it’s not easy losing a father (a parent in general.) but sometimes you forget just how young she was when he passed. Seeing them together is heart breaking and heart warming all together.

When I saw Bindi standing in front of Steve talking to the camera I lost it... he would have been so proud of the person she has become. if there is anyone in this world who could compare to him it would be her and her. they are both a treasure to this world.
it's almost been 15 years since Steve Irwin passed away filming an episode for Bindy's tv show because of a short-tailed stingray barb to the chest and yet the like the world all wish he could still be with us it was too soon. We miss you Steve and we wish you were still with us.

I miss Steve Irwin. My favorite episode was when he got the Australian militarY to help him rescue a giant crocodile from a way too small funky cage in East Timor. He was a great man and is greatly missed.
It’s a favorite of mine as well. The way he took one of the crocs to the ocean to give her a nice scrub down in the salt water showed how much he cared. Miss him everyday, he would be so proud of how his family have carried on his legacy.
It’s so surreal watching this episode knowing Bindi is now married and just had her first baby 😭 My sister and I LOVED Steve Irwin. It hurt us worse than any celebrity passing.
I always forget how Australia is in a part of the Earth where "summer" and "winter" are basically switched. Pretty interesting.
In the UK, 16° is what makes me and my friends sweat not shiver. We don't even wear coats

Yeah I went there once in April and was wearing my scarf outside. Came back home to my british host parents who greeted me at the door in a tanktop and shorts.😂
I was thinking the same! I'm a Brit and, years ago, I visited Australia in their winter. It was about 16°C and everyone else was in thick wooly jumpers, scarves, and hats, staring at me in horror because I was out in shorts and t-shirt! 😂😂🤷♀️

From a cute little girl to a beautiful mother, so cool to see their family grow and honor their father's legacy. Still breaks my heart every time I see Steve Irwin, he died too young and was my favorite person to watch as a kid. It was the passion he had. Definitely one of a kind family.

Dolphins are so cool. I live in UK and was lucky enough to see a bunch of wild dolphins jumping out of the water by our boat when I went on holiday to Florida. Dolphins have been known to help humans and other species in distress (or even protecting them from sharks) plenty of times over the years. We should of alot of respect for these beautiful creatures.

It still surprises me how hugely popular and important Steve was Down Under.
I mean, I'm Dutch and can clearly remember the day the news broke that he has passed away...and it was big news. But still, seeing how big his impact was half the world away from here is remarkable.

Let me first say there are no words to describe how Steve Irwin impacted my life in such a positive way. I miss learning from him so much.
I was a lifeguard my self for 12 seasons. It was the best job I ever had. We had tons of wild life that often got in and or around the pool as we were located in the woods. I would always rescue the animal if I could give it a freshwater bath to get the pool chemicals off of it and then set it free, after trying to educate the children who were there about the animal.
Steve Irwin will always hold a special place in my heart. He may have left us too soon, but at least we got the chance to learn from him while he was here.
