Yo keep me updated on this build. I'm about to get a 94 club car with electric. It's not running, good batteries but I want to swap to gas. If this is a good motor and works well for you I may go with something like this as well. Thanks
definitely, my issue is that i want to put the motor inside the seat where the batteries are, because of the motors rotation and position of the driveshaft ive had to do some pretty drastic stuff, im trying have an update done this weekend.. maybe.
I was thinking about that as well. My goal or attempt would to be to use an ATV Motor with the Drive train so I could reverse ect. Does lifting it help much at all? I'm still up in the air about all of it. Is it a tight fit under the seat?
it fits pretty good under the seat once the gas tank and airbox have been removed and moved a bit. ill have videos on that also. ive heard great stuff about people doing ATV swaps, definitely something ive thought about but couldnt find anything worthwhile within my budget so i went wit the predator just under the vtwin. theres a guy that fit a vtwin under the seat of his golf cart. and no lifting it doesnt help the frame is whats setting your engine height

Hey any other update? I went ahead and bought mine. I got a 1992 Ez Go Marathon. I've got a clean slate to work with as the battery metal is rusted. I'm going to just cut it out and weld a new mount for the engine. Have you gotten the engine turning the wheels yet? If so how is it working out. Excited to hear more as this helps me build mine.
WHich fuel pump did u use , electric or vacum type. The only thing with vacul type I don't know where to hook up hose, and the electric is pumps too much gas and overflows carb... thats my dilema .... If any suggestion let me know please
Remove the governor at least cause that thing is gonna go slow with that gear ratio and only reving at 3600rpm. And why would u want it to look stock as possible I personally prefer all the after market parts not only douse it look better but it performs better

I'm doing the exact same project with my clubcar but with the duromax 18hp. What tooth sprocket did you go with on the old electric motor shaft?

so you lose reverse with this setup, right?
We found a reverse gearbox on Amazon we are adding in the future
Batteries are expensive.
