I actually enjoy seeing you get back to your minimalistic camping style. A Buddy Heater, Ramen, Pour-Over Coffee, and a good Book 📖... sounds like a great camping trip to my thinking.
This brings back the good ol vibes of just chilling in the back of a Taco on a nice cozy snowy night. I really needed this one. Great work as always Jonathan!✌
The scenery in your last two videos has been amazing. Winter in the Pacific Northwest is something to behold. Love the minimalist set up. Looks like it serves you (and Kaya) well for the near term. Thanks for taking us on a beautiful, peaceful adventure!
Man, your videos are always such a vibe! If I ever need a break from editing, I watch your stuff, and it always gets me excited to get back to work! So relaxing. Keep it up brother!
Beautiful scenery in this video. Do not give up on your little truck camper right away. I am 74 and I’ve been camping in a tiny home built square drop camper about the size of your bed probably and I’m very comfortable. You just have to think backpacking and not big RV. Simplicity is great!. Looking forward to more of your videos. I’ve been watching for a long time and watched you go through so many campers! Stay safe travel well.
Been loving the Tacoma content! I also have a first gen with a Leer 122 topper. I have the same string lights in mine and found that the sticky side of some heavy duty velcro works really well to secure them to the headliner. I was able to get mine nice and taught that way. Happy trails, you're making me miss Oregon!
My advice , stick to simple setup like this. Don’t worry about another fancy rig. It won’t be worth the financial burden. You are ten times more relatable in this setup to most people. Keep it up.
New Guy with Same Name here :) camping the way I like it. Low dollar builds, camping isn't just for people with RV and Earth Roamer money. Now I just with the cost of decent supplies was more affordable. Good work and gorgeous waterfall views.
Hey brother, great vid! I have a very similar set up. Top tip: I found out the hard way you have to watch the roof material doesn't singe from the Buddy heat going straight up! They sell heat activated fans cheap, like on a wood stove, w a bracket made just for the Buddy heater. Now the heat blows across me instead of just straight up...worth it!
Beautiful out there were. What a winter wonder land and the landscapes were picture perfect. Really postcard worby 6⅝thy. Beautiful. Thank you. See you next time. Loved the snow soo much.❤
It's great to see you out there camping again , Jonathan. The new setup you have planned out looks good, and is enough space. A nicexeinter trip. I look forward to the next one with the pup.
You’re smile has come back and I’m all here for it! Keep it up man, you got this. Love the new set up too. Minimalistic style which reminds me of your old videos from before. Love it ❤
Jonathan, i recently learned to run hot water thru the paper filter, then bloom the coffee, then do the pourover...3 steps! Major upgrade. Great channel, i follow my bliss on my pop culture channel. Cheers, Mike
Have about same set up in my S10 Chevy. My topper has a raised back so great for sitting up. Put some boat seat vinyl over the pad for dog. Or a vinyl bag. Gorilla Duct tape it on back to hold it on. Nothing fancy. It's a pad. Double burner Coleman stove, 5- 7 gallon water jug with spigot. Plastic snap box for utensils. Not as bad setup. All good Happy Holidays
The winter waterfalls are amazing! I'm just waiting for a snowfall to try out my new car... maybe I'll head way up north to chase some flakes next weekend 🤔
Nice to see more regular videos from you. I don’t mind that you’re not in the camper, although I do miss those videos, but that you’re out in nature enjoying yourself and capturing its beauty. I couldn’t tell if you were wearing ice cleats on your boots, it doesn’t look like, but it’s super useful and added insurance and confidence when walking on icy or packed down snow. I definitely recommend you get a pair for safety and it allows you to go in places that’s not possible if you don’t have it. I use the Kahtoola MICROspikes which has lasted me years, however, there’s many other reliable brands.
Keep that exped away from splinters that would make your nights miserable. Also, use felt as drapes and they’ll keep the windows from collecting condensation.
Yay, Jon's back in the saddle again. Beautiful scenery, but those trails are scary! Uneven footing + snow = yikes! I do like those single serving Spam packets, although it's a costly way to eat it -- handy for camping. I've been following a tinned fish channel lately, which is my favorite travel meat. It will be interesting to see how Kaya likes the new bed.
That waterfall is cool. 👍

Hi from the UK, I’ve just got home from work and found you’ve dropped a new video, the perfect chill out. Thanks.

Nothing better than to have a peaceful stroll through the snow and nature 😊
Couldn’t agree more.
Jonathan these are the videos we love !! Awesome job my friend. Well done. 🤙
I'm not sure I've ever seen a waterfall during a robust snowfall before. I certainly haven't hiked to one. Awesome!

I really do enjoy the small setup, but it’s not so great for winter camping. We shall see, ha! Thanks for watching

I love your minimalist set.up, that' s realistic. As always i appreciate your vanlife ideas & most of all , your views are winning, stunning...
That waterfall was majestic. Can’t go wrong with Shin Ramyun. Shin Ramyun Black is my favorite.
Love this one! love the simple setup more..... :)

I always see your videos recommended but the Tacoma set up is by far the best. I love this little mini series just finished it all.
Man those Pacific Northwest trees are simply amazing. The scenery with the waterfalls are like a postcard.
Great snowy scene all around…it is like in the movie…..I miss the cold weather☃️❄️🌨️….it is so…so…so HOT🔥🌞 in the southern hemisphere in OZ. Enjoy 🤩

Dinner looked warm a delicious! On a cold winter evening! Snow on the falls ! That was cool!
I thought that you were going to heat the spam up on yhe buddy heater. 😂
I love that you camped in the truck. This is something you could easily do!
Jonathan, i recently learned to run hot water thru the paper filter, then bloom the coffee, then do the pourover...3 steps! Major upgrade. Great channel, i follow my bliss on my pop culture channel. Cheers, Mike
tks for the tip, hot water thru paper filter, going to do this!☕☕☕
@@Saltydog961 gets rid of paper taste!
Clear picture here, with my iPad, and the video before this one.☝️🍜👍🏻🇺🇸
gotta love how the big buddy always fires up, the smaller one does not like the cold!
Yep I haven't had issues with this one.

That waterfall is crazy beautiful!
I love these videos, it makes me long for snow ❄️.
The winter waterfalls are amazing! I'm just waiting for a snowfall to try out my new car... maybe I'll head way up north to chase some flakes next weekend 🤔
Jonathan, I’m really enjoying your back to basics camping. 👍👏
Spam and ramen pairs perfectly as long as you can survive that sodium intake lol
Not just survive, thrive* 😏
Great video Jonathan! ❤
I like kicking up ramem packets like that. So much better when you add ingredients that enhance the noodles.
Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!!❤❤❤

Wow now thats a waterfall.
Small rig makes a nice midrange tripod
Stunning I love it. Incredible video
I love the content!!!! Glad your back bro
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
nothing like that pre-made boars head sammy
10 miles is quite a tramp thru snow.
I always feel like being where you're at and doing what you do .
But now all i can do is imagine myself there. Always take care...
That Tacoma is going to last for a very long time. I hope you keep it.
You did a great job with just your phone. :)
Keep that exped away from splinters that would make your nights miserable.
Also, use felt as drapes and they’ll keep the windows from collecting condensation.
Some sort of portable hammock system would be awesome in these conditions.
Smart phone content creation has come a long way.
Youre back
Suggestion, get a bedrug it’s so worth the money.
Sadly, they don’t make them for this old rig.
Great views!!
breathtaking!
I'm commenting before watching the. hope you stayed warm!
hell yeah new video!
