I actually enjoy seeing you get back to your minimalistic camping style. A Buddy Heater, Ramen, Pour-Over Coffee, and a good Book 📖... sounds like a great camping trip to my thinking.
New Guy with Same Name here :) camping the way I like it. Low dollar builds, camping isn't just for people with RV and Earth Roamer money. Now I just with the cost of decent supplies was more affordable. Good work and gorgeous waterfall views.
Beautiful scenery in this video. Do not give up on your little truck camper right away. I am 74 and I’ve been camping in a tiny home built square drop camper about the size of your bed probably and I’m very comfortable. You just have to think backpacking and not big RV. Simplicity is great!. Looking forward to more of your videos. I’ve been watching for a long time and watched you go through so many campers! Stay safe travel well.
Hey brother, great vid! I have a very similar set up. Top tip: I found out the hard way you have to watch the roof material doesn't singe from the Buddy heat going straight up! They sell heat activated fans cheap, like on a wood stove, w a bracket made just for the Buddy heater. Now the heat blows across me instead of just straight up...worth it!
The scenery in your last two videos has been amazing. Winter in the Pacific Northwest is something to behold. Love the minimalist set up. Looks like it serves you (and Kaya) well for the near term. Thanks for taking us on a beautiful, peaceful adventure!
Been loving the Tacoma content! I also have a first gen with a Leer 122 topper. I have the same string lights in mine and found that the sticky side of some heavy duty velcro works really well to secure them to the headliner. I was able to get mine nice and taught that way. Happy trails, you're making me miss Oregon!
Jonathan, i recently learned to run hot water thru the paper filter, then bloom the coffee, then do the pourover...3 steps! Major upgrade. Great channel, i follow my bliss on my pop culture channel. Cheers, Mike
You’re smile has come back and I’m all here for it! Keep it up man, you got this. Love the new set up too. Minimalistic style which reminds me of your old videos from before. Love it ❤
Man, your videos are always such a vibe! If I ever need a break from editing, I watch your stuff, and it always gets me excited to get back to work! So relaxing. Keep it up brother!
Keep that exped away from splinters that would make your nights miserable. Also, use felt as drapes and they’ll keep the windows from collecting condensation.
Nice to see more regular videos from you. I don’t mind that you’re not in the camper, although I do miss those videos, but that you’re out in nature enjoying yourself and capturing its beauty. I couldn’t tell if you were wearing ice cleats on your boots, it doesn’t look like, but it’s super useful and added insurance and confidence when walking on icy or packed down snow. I definitely recommend you get a pair for safety and it allows you to go in places that’s not possible if you don’t have it. I use the Kahtoola MICROspikes which has lasted me years, however, there’s many other reliable brands.
The winter waterfalls are amazing! I'm just waiting for a snowfall to try out my new car... maybe I'll head way up north to chase some flakes next weekend 🤔
Ohh shit. Yeah never sleep with one of those on, and always crack a window. Been some folks who've died/got poisoning from carbon monoxide with those buddy heaters
Check out Trapper creek trail to Observation Peak and Chinook Falls next time you are up along Wind River Road along the Wind River in Washington well worth it. Always enjoyed going over the Bridge of the Gods on the way there awesome view of the Columbia River. Zero degree sleeping bag alot better than heated blanket good choice.
Yay, Jon's back in the saddle again. Beautiful scenery, but those trails are scary! Uneven footing + snow = yikes! I do like those single serving Spam packets, although it's a costly way to eat it -- handy for camping. I've been following a tinned fish channel lately, which is my favorite travel meat. It will be interesting to see how Kaya likes the new bed.
@@JonathanYentch just looked wow your not wrong! haha I think its worth it though as you use it all the time and it still looks great! Thanks for sharing that info!
My advice , stick to simple setup like this. Don’t worry about another fancy rig. It won’t be worth the financial burden. You are ten times more relatable in this setup to most people. Keep it up.
Great video. I just could not do the spam. I can maybe tolerate it maybe once a year, but other than that. It is just something about the spices they put in it. My Wife loves spam and I have tried to like it, but still to no avail. But I still buy it for her. So enjoy yourself there, sand looking forward to your next UL. BTW. Video is good to go. Happy Holidays from my family to yours.
As a man I would have moved out as well mostly when the area looks trashed like a homeless area on BLM land how far from a city were you? I have bear spray and a gun as well but don't want the hassle. I would have and have moved on because I felt uncomfortable.
Beautiful scenery.
Love the waterfalls.

Dang 10 miles in the snow 💪 heck yeah. Merry Christmas 🎄🎅

Loved the simplicity of camping out in the back of your truck.

Jonathan these are the videos we love !! Awesome job my friend. Well done. 🤙

I really do enjoy the small setup, but it’s not so great for winter camping. We shall see, ha! Thanks for watching
I’m sick with the flu. Your camping trip made me feel good for a while. 🙂
Hope you feel better soon!
I'm not sure I've ever seen a waterfall during a robust snowfall before. I certainly haven't hiked to one. Awesome!
the cargo box on top of the camper shell is a sick combo
Whats up Jonathan. What a nice way to start off a Sunday with a new video
Thanks for watching!
this content always gonna perform better. good job jonathan. Lets see a big road trip!!!

Hi from the UK, I’ve just got home from work and found you’ve dropped a new video, the perfect chill out. Thanks.
gotta love how the big buddy always fires up, the smaller one does not like the cold!

That waterfall was majestic. Can’t go wrong with Shin Ramyun. Shin Ramyun Black is my favorite.
Thats true truck camping Jonathan, I've resorted to the same for now,it's simple minimal and more time is spent outdoors ,love the videos
I am glad you are back!!!!!
Nothing better than to have a peaceful stroll through the snow and nature 😊
Couldn’t agree more.

tks for the tip, hot water thru paper filter, going to do this!☕☕☕

Spam and ramen pairs perfectly as long as you can survive that sodium intake lol
Not just survive, thrive* 😏
I like your approach to this build.
It’s super minimalist but it just works. Gets it done.
I love that you camped in the truck. This is something you could easily do!
The falls is so beautiful. Thank you.
I think this was a great video. Nothing fancy very simple and how it should be . Great video
Love the snow, amazing waterfall bed set up looks nice
Classic Jonathan Yentch.
I thought that you were going to heat the spam up on yhe buddy heater. 😂
This is awesome, but you know what else is awesome? Caving!
Oh gee…so…so beautiful….winter wonderland to be exact🤩❄️
Walking in a winter wonderland!
Truly ❄️
That waterfall is crazy beautiful!
Love your new setup. Yes. Sleeping bags are the icing on the cake for me offgrid. 10 miles RT😮 Loved the scenery though. Making ramen rn ✌
Sometimes simple is better.
😎👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely scenery. Thank you and may God bless you!
Falls creek falls? Wow made the long hike from the road to the falls. Well done. I love this falls one of the best around.
Definitely one of the best!
Clear picture here, with my iPad, and the video before this one.☝️🍜👍🏻🇺🇸
Small rig makes a nice midrange tripod
Dinner looked warm a delicious! On a cold winter evening! Snow on the falls ! That was cool!
Great video. Keep it simple! We like to see it.

10 miles is quite a tramp thru snow.
❤❤ Definitely the minimal camping you have everything u need. Love the snow. We are having 62° weather today. 🤗💕

Great snowy scene all around…it is like in the movie…..I miss the cold weather☃️❄️🌨️….it is so…so…so HOT🔥🌞 in the southern hemisphere in OZ. Enjoy 🤩

Beautiful views! Thanks for sharing with us.
I love these videos, it makes me long for snow ❄️.
Careful with that buddy heater bro - I just had mine send off the carbon monoxide detector on my last outing. Not a fun way to wake up.
Ohh shit. Yeah never sleep with one of those on, and always crack a window. Been some folks who've died/got poisoning from carbon monoxide with those buddy heaters
@ it was on with the window cracked in -23c weather. My owning ended up losing its memory and layer across my window blocking my air. No good
Some sort of portable hammock system would be awesome in these conditions.
I love the content!!!! Glad your back bro
That Tacoma is going to last for a very long time. I hope you keep it.
Stunning I love it. Incredible video
Great video! i love all your videos.
I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!!❤❤❤
When I camp outside I will often wear ear plugs and eye covers to block out the noise and moon light.
Jonathan, I’m really enjoying your back to basics camping. 👍👏
Wow, beautiful. Love that you are putting out vids with regularity❤
Suggestion, get a bedrug it’s so worth the money.
Sadly, they don’t make them for this old rig.
breathtaking!
Great video Jonathan! ❤
Great views!!
love this title! Happy Holidays!

Hello from 🇨🇦 Great video!! 🤜🏻
Man those Pacific Northwest trees are simply amazing. The scenery with the waterfalls are like a postcard.
Wow that was a very beautiful place with multiple waterfalls. May I know how to get there?
Great video Johnathan!
what is the name of that firepit? I would love to get one
It’s theSnow Peak Takibi Grill. Not cheap, but really love it!

How is the new truck running ? How many miles does it have if you dont mind me asking
It runs great! 212k and counting
Normally I would suggest a Peak Designs tripod but their CEO is a narc, so try Smallrig!
Postcard!
Where did you find the shell
Burning pressure treated wood is no bueno, just a heads up
I kinda figured that but also figured one time wouldn’t hurt!
@@JonathanYentchwasnt it just normal fir 2x4s tho
Your video just popped up. I hadn't been following your channel lately but what happened to your camper project?
He sold his last setup which was the white ford truck and big truck camper with bathroom.
Jon what happened to you showing us drinking your coffee and saying whoooo!!!!!! We need longer videos!
Why didn't you back the truck up to fire area?
Thanks Johnathan enjoyed the video 😊
👍🏻👍🏻
You're so brave to go hiking deep in the forest alone. Aren't you afraid of meeting some wild animals there eg bear or fox etc
Get rid of the Mr. Buddy heater (unsafe) and buy a diesel heater. Safe and super!
What happened to your old truck camper
GF??? When are you two getting married? No pressure...just asking. LOL. Great video!
I think you should do longer videos and include city life etc. 40 min vids would be sweet. Your good at it so keep it up.👍🏼
