Everything changed when I started receiving the Eucharist on Sundays. In the Eucharist I encountered Christ in a very real way that just had not happened before.
I have been wondering. As Luther rides with you do you ever get the impression he is feeling concern for the modern day translations of the Bible. When he worked on his translation of the Bible to German if he went from originals? Was the result similar to KJV in meaning? All this comes up as I search for a study Bible. I have the ESV Readers Bible (no verse numbers) and need them.
Honest question, do you guys believe with your heart or with your mind? nothing wrong with believing with the heart, I just saw many christians that are close minded and follow the bible just because it's the religion of their family or because they saw a small truth within in, while turning the back to all the clear signs of corruption and mistakes in the bible. Just trying to understand your ways of thinking, I apologise if I offended anyone.
It is not an either or, mind vs heart, but both and. God renews our minds with the weight of the truth, and He gives us a “new” heart to make us willing to believe His great promises. The scriptures speak to our minds and hearts and we in turn are called to love the Lord in response with all “ our heart, mind, soul and strength “, in other words the entire man. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.” We believe Jesus because He is completely trustworthy and the only one who laid down his life for us men and for our salvation. We believe because He alone has the words of eternal life. Ultimately, we believe, because He has opened our eyes, unplugged our ears and removed our resistance by washing us with water and the word.
What kind of a religion where a prophet is accused of stealing a bikini, where women take out their underwears to him and who where believing women are to be offered for free sex. And what kind of a god, ur Allah who approves of such wicked and indecency. Is this a true god. Muslim is all about women and money, and a group that deals with such is referred to cult. There's so many proofs in your Quran that Muslim is cultic. As a Muslim yourself you should what I'm mentioning because it's in your Quran

Jesus, without the Law, is no Jesus. When you make a decision, it better be for the Jesus of the Bible. Evangelicals always ask for you to look inside yourself to see if you love Jesus or Jesus in you. Maybe I am wrong but that sounds a lot like Hinduism.
This is my story of when I was saved. I couldn't tell you the day or hour that I was saved but I can tell you the season. For me it was a process. The year was 2017 and God burned my house down. I watched my condo that owned for 10 years go up in flames. I was furious, and ready for revenge, but God had other plans. I lost almost everything, and I was more focused on the destruction than the people that were helping me. To say the least, I was still a pretty terrible person. I ended up living with my ex wife and my son, and I'm still here as I write this in February of 2022. My ex wife is no ray of sunshine and I was now completely at her mercy, of which there was very little. All of my clothes fit in a small cubby and I sleep at the foot of my son's bed. I was here, trapped taking care of my disabled child and standing by as my ex wife called me a failure and moved through multiple boyfriends. No romance for me. I was going through some pretty hard times. Through this I was anything but good. I sought refuge in porn, video games, Netflix. I searched for anything but God. Poor me. Eventually it became evident that I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. I lost my court case and I was broke. I wasn't just broke financially I was broke in every way. There was nothing left for me and nothing filled the growing hole in me. I finally turned to God. Sounds good but I had a problem. I had more doubts than faith. So I prayed to God for the faith of a mustard seed to believe. I still sinned but I found myself talking to God a little more. I thought about going all in with being a real Christian but I was having a hard time. Then the song came to me. Jesus loves the little children was stuck in my head for more than a week. When I was kid I loved God and talked to him without doubt and God gave what I had as a child back to me. I put everything away humbled myself and came to him as a child. When this happened some pretty crazy things started happening. I started feeling some really heavy conviction for my sins. It was like a different person was in my body. Here's a quick example. I was driving home from work and saw a tool box with nice tools in the middle of the road. Normally I would think I was lucky. But now I'm compelled to find the owner and return them which is what I did. It was like having a conscious on steroids times a million. I found myself compelled to repent from sin. Porn, video games and Netflix were the first to go. I wanted God more than those things. I found myself hungry for God's word, like I was starving for years. When I meet other Christians I don't mock them under my breath, I love them because they are my brothers and sisters. There are times and seasons where struggle with sin but God always picks me up. I find myself wanting to love what God loves and trying to do his will. I'm not perfect but I know that Jesus is and I feel comfortable and confident sharing the gospel and what God says in the Bible. I want to bring others to Jesus because there is nothing else that will fill that empty hole inside of a person who's lost it all. In reality you've never really had anything until you know that Jesus has you. Did anyone notice my change? You bet. I've lost life long friends and family members don't seem to want to interact with me as much. Like it seems kind of awkward. So in conclusion, that life changing disaster might be your lucky day
I've read many stories of people changing after going back to religion and believing in god, which is awesome in itself, and I'm really happy for you because that's the best thing that could happen to anyone, even though you lost many things in this life you gain much better stuff in heavens once you find god. But my question to you brother why did you believe only in the bible? I think it would be better if you asked yourself deeper questions about the true religion, and why christianity and not another one? So many religions exist, meaning there is only two options, either there is a god or there isn't. And thankfully with all his miracles/amazing creations and his mercy that we both found ourselves in the right path, but it got to be one true religion that we have to follow, that is not corrupted, well preserved and logical. I invite you to read more about Islam if you want, its free lol, and if you ever want to discuss anything I would love to have a talk ^^

@@legendsofrei these are the words of the angel Gabriel. Six months after Elizabeth knew she was to become a mother, Gabriel was sent from God to Nazareth. Nazareth was a town in the country of Galilee. 27 He went to a woman who had never had a man. Her name was Mary. She was promised in marriage to a man named Joseph. Joseph was of the family of David. 28 The angel came to her and said, “You are honored very much. You are a favored woman. The Lord is with you. *You are chosen from among many women.” 29 When she saw the angel, she was troubled at his words. She thought about what had been said. 30 The angel said to her, “Mary, do not be afraid. You have found favor with God. 31 See! You are to become a mother and have a Son. You are to give Him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great. He will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the place where His early father David sat. 33 He will be King over the family of Jacob forever and His nation will have no end.” 34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen? I have never had a man.” 35 The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you. The power of the Most High will cover you. The holy Child you give birth to will be called the Son of God. 36 “See, your cousin Elizabeth, as old as she is, is going to give birth to a child.
