I'm a college student and taking chemistry for the first time, and I appreciate the videos you've posted so much. Electron configuration makes so much more sense now. I've felt really discouraged during class the past week or two... so, thank you for the help! :D
Thank you so much for sharing your videos! I think there should be a minor correction on 2:22 with Lithium's electron configuration. It should be 1s^2 2s^1
Your video is really helpful, my classmates recommended it to me. I was very confused about the teacher's ppt but after watching this I felt like I can go and take the test right away! Thanks for uploading this video :)
Sonya Birazian I never knew that you replied to the comments !! Anyway you are fabulous and I like the way you simplify the teaching manner so that it can be understood easily . Thanks for uploading this video !
Thank you soooo much for these incredible videos. They were instrumental to me in understanding these concepts. I have asked many people for help in this area, and noone was capable of explaining this concept to me. I am about to sit a TEAS exam and desperately needed to be able to grasp this concept in order to pass the Chemistry portion of the test. Your videos are on point. Your drawings helped me understand the concepts and the way you explained the material, I was able to easily understand and grasp. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have saved these videos and plan on referring back to them prior to sitting the exam.
I want to let you know that you are a great teacher, I like the your teaching styles. You are articulate. Thank you for helping me to understand these concepts in chemistry. When I am doing my exams and quizzes I reflect on your voice and it helps me to remember the concepts. 😊
usually, youtube teachers are more great than our teachers in our classrooms. anyways, thanking all the way here in the Philippines!! You were a great help for my classroom activity.💛
Thank you so much! I am taking chemistry. My professor took 4 hours to explain, and I was still struggling. However, your explanation was much simpler, and finally, I am not confused anymore.
HIIIIII OMG SAME. BTW ABOUT THE CARBON, THERES LIKE A BLANK BOX THERE WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOULD I LET IT PASS OR SHOULD I ADD MORE ARROWS EVEN THOUGH THERE'S ONLY 2 ELECTRONS IN 2P2? THANK YOU
You said that the p orbitals take the electron separately, so how are you supposed to write out the arrows when you have to remove electrons in an ion?
miss here i get mistake on ur leacture here u say about on lithium ekectonic configuration in orbital 1s2 2s2 wrong miss bcz Li have 3 elctrn u gave 4 in orbital why?
+Shane Mayer have you watched my video on electron configurations & ions - first write the electron configuration then adjust the configuration to fit the ion - now draw the orbital diagram. But you have to know how to do an ion configuration so watch that video
hell yeah, im gr 12 chemistry and I have a quiz tomorrow and this really helped, thanks a lot. If I can remember I will say my quiz mark when I get it back. If this is a week old and I haven't said anything then please mention me so I can say my mark.
Sorry, but you have written wrong electron configuration for Li, please correct this mistake as soon as possible so that it does not become a misleading video to the viewers.
still draw same diagram but have d block has 5 orbitals - each one can hold up to two still. _ _ _ _ _ (like this, place two arrows in first orbital, two arrows in second and then one arrow in third for a total of 5 electrons
You made a mistake for lithium. You gave it 4 electrons
I thought I was going crazy!!! Thanks for confirming that.
Leonarda Garcia I’m that stupid that I thought I was wrong for giving it only 3 electrons!!😭😭🤦🏽♀️
i think she meant the next element in the s block but i totally was worried that i was back tracking when studying for my exam XD
took my teacher 6 hours to confuse the class with this... I just learned this on a commercial break with you
Exactly!
Hahahahh🙈🙉🙊
I managed to learn basic chemistry in 2 days on UA-cam that I couldn't learn over the span of 10 weeks in a classroom.
Yes Mike you are correct - if you look down below that was mentioned :)

WTH then why is my teacher making us learn this when we're only freshmens in hs 😭😭
@@tiktokmedicine6672it’ll help u in sophomore year chem
Thank you so much for sharing your videos! I think there should be a minor correction on 2:22 with Lithium's electron configuration. It should be 1s^2 2s^1
I was just about to ask about it ! thank you for clearing it up.
best teacher ever
Love your videos. Keep up the great work. This has been one of the best educational videos I have seen in a while. Thank you.
the electron configuration of Lithium is wrong miss
Great work Sonya, happy I stumbled upon your videos they helped me out a bunch. Thanks keep up the good work!
You are AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for helping me understand this material!!!!!
Your video is really helpful, my classmates recommended it to me. I was very confused about the teacher's ppt but after watching this I felt like I can go and take the test right away! Thanks for uploading this video :)
Excellent explanations Sonya! . You’re the BEST at explaining chemistry materials.
for Lithium, why isn't the electronic configuration 1s2, 2s1?
Boris - it is - thanks so much - I made a mistake :)
Sonya Birazian I never knew that you replied to the comments !!
Anyway you are fabulous and I like the way you simplify the teaching manner so that it can be understood easily .
Thanks for uploading this video !
Sharath V Thank you for the support! Glad to help!
+Boris Stoyanov excellent work boris!
yes u ar right.

sonya, you are amazing
Thank you very much for your kind and simple way of teaching .
Greatly appreciated 🙏.
Thanks, you've really helped me!
i might be 6 years late to the party but i learned me something today
This is SOOO GOOD! Saves me from my lecture
Small correction: 2:20 into the video - Lithium is actually 1s2 2s1 (3 electrons).
Excellent video!.
this is THE MOST helpful video on orbital diagrams I was seriously struggling to do theses before but now I fully understand😂👏👏👏
omg you are great, you will never know how much your videos have helped me. thank you
+Zamanta Arango true man. she simplifies everything SO WELL!!!
sonya u r to good ..... i easily understand concept thanks
very good video. i was confused prior to watching you Sonya. thanks
MY GOODNESS THS ISSS SOO GOOD I CANNOT CONTAIN MY GRATITUDE GOD BLESS YOU WOWOWOWOWOWOOWOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you so much queen i love you for this
this is so helpful ...thank you so much now i have finally understood this electronic configuration
osm explainatn !!..thankz a lot
Thank you sooo much madam!!🙏🏻
I'm now fluent with the topic❤️
thank you so much for your videos. they are so clear and helpful
Thank you you life saver! keep doing please :)
Finally understand this now, thanks:)
Yes now I see, thanks! Please continue. Very informative.
Beautiful exposition. Thank you so much.
usually, youtube teachers are more great than our teachers in our classrooms. anyways, thanking all the way here in the Philippines!! You were a great help for my classroom activity.💛
Thank you sonya for making these, because in my school i cannot understand it but i watch you vid i understand all!!! Thanks alot sonya!😉
Thank you so much! I am taking chemistry. My professor took 4 hours to explain, and I was still struggling. However, your explanation was much simpler, and finally, I am not confused anymore.
Omg just seen this video today..
another good video
Thanks I neaded that kind of explanation now for modules!
A “line” is “a little bit easier” than a “box”.
And I like that thinking 😁
This helped me so much !
Your videos are so helpful!!! Even for an A level chemistry student in London!! Thank you!!!
Nice tutorial, saved me on my test tomorrow
Thank you so much! your video was very helpful:)
Thank you! I’m going to take a test tomorrow on this, and this really helped :))
Two electrons chilling in a box
God bless you kindly
Thanks alot 😭its really helpful 😍
thnks a lot im just finishing my module bcz of this video
THANKYOU you are a life saver i telll you !
this was so helpful omg thank u
thank you so much i was so confused and this video cleared everything up for me 😭
HIIIIII OMG SAME. BTW ABOUT THE CARBON, THERES LIKE A BLANK BOX THERE WHAT SHOULD I DO? SHOULD I LET IT PASS OR SHOULD I ADD MORE ARROWS EVEN THOUGH THERE'S ONLY 2 ELECTRONS IN 2P2? THANK YOU
Category... comedy? The only comedic part is that i wasted 8 weeks of class to learn what a 7 min video just taught me.
Thank you for making this.
Well done ! ^_^ thank you :)
You said that the p orbitals take the electron separately, so how are you supposed to write out the arrows when you have to remove electrons in an ion?
Thank you!
your videos are really helpful.
plz can u create videos on types of chemical reaction with little brief explanation.
Your a beast
this one is perfect
Why can't electrons spin at one direction in an orbital?
helped a lot
Thanks a lot 💗
i think lithium is 1s2 2s1 since it's number of electrons is 3
For the lithium it would be 1s2, 2s1 not 2s2 ?
miss here i get mistake on ur leacture here u say about on lithium ekectonic configuration in orbital 1s2 2s2 wrong miss bcz Li have 3 elctrn u gave 4 in orbital why?
She is wrong. Li has 3 protons/electrons and therefore 1s2 2s1 is the proper configuration.
Thank u valid help
Oh, I think Lithium is supposed to have 3 electrons
Thank you very muchhh
i am struggling to undertsand the orbital box diagram when it comes to ions, do you any advice?
+Shane Mayer have you watched my video on electron configurations & ions - first write the electron configuration then adjust the configuration to fit the ion - now draw the orbital diagram. But you have to know how to do an ion configuration so watch that video
what about the D orbitals ?
great video but the elctron configuartionm for lithium should be 1s2 2s1
Thanks a lot😊
The only question I have is why this video is categorized as Comedy.
THANK YOUUUU
if anyone was coming for the number of orbitals in each sublevel
S has 1
P has 3
D has 5
F has 7
I believe there's a mistake. Lithium should be 1s2^2s1^. Can you please confirm?
I know this video is old but thank you so much for making me understand!!! :)
Please get a new marker that sound gives me such goosebumps and chills down my spine
It took me an hour to get the point of my prof. And suddenly i felt bored and i just sleep the whole period.i just learned orbital diagram here😂😂
how to study in one day before the exam:
hell yeah, im gr 12 chemistry and I have a quiz tomorrow and this really helped, thanks a lot. If I can remember I will say my quiz mark when I get it back. If this is a week old and I haven't said anything then please mention me so I can say my mark.
Have you already created a mole video? if not pleas make one!!!
I have - search my page
Sonya Birazian thank you! i love your videos so much!!
wouldn't lithium be 1s2 2s1?
andrea Lopez Correct, it was a mistake she made and clarified somewhere in the comments
Sorry, but you have written wrong electron configuration for Li, please correct this mistake as soon as possible so that it does not become a misleading video to the viewers.
Lokesh Tewari
I really don't understand what you did at 4:38
Ok this needed to be checked before downloading! Its so confusing for a beginner! U made a mistake for lithium. Its 1s(2), 2s(1)
thank u so mych
Ain't lithium only 3 electrons!
Mistake !!! Lithum has 3 electrons
what if we have 3d5
still draw same diagram but have d block has 5 orbitals - each one can hold up to two still. _ _ _ _ _ (like this, place two arrows in first orbital, two arrows in second and then one arrow in third for a total of 5 electrons
Shat Merci

Litium is 1s² and 2s¹
i love you mommy
