While you've had hardships viewers are aware of and likely others we're not. The family and locations suggests a truly blessed life. Much appreciation Levi for sharing just a little of that life.
A gold ring with a blue sapphire in it! made from what you have found with your own hands from that beautiful country of yours! That truly is priceless! ✊
Hello, I would be happy if my "mum" would also go panning for gold. I have to bribe the kids with Nürberger sausages. Was a pleasure to see you. Continued success in your fantastic country. Greetings Tom
Wishing you luck brother. Beautiful day spent with mum and the kids. Too me these gems that joined you on this adventure were the truest gems to have on any adventure. Thanks Levi for a fun filled adventure. You truly are a gem in disguise. Thank you for sharing.
Levi your boys will soak up all your knowledge and skills so keep up the family adventures you are an awesome father and your boy’s will return the love you show for them 10 fold when you and the gorgeous wife grow old.All the best from Scotland and heavy pan’s for life.
Nice! Very beautiful stones! Now let's get back on the gold because nothing in that river is prettier than the yellowstone. Lol when I go up to dig in the mountains I dredge or sluice. When I dig I dig into a half 55 gal. Plastic barrel cut in half the long way with a rope weaved thru to pull it with over to my box. I usually run 7 to 10 half barrels thru my box each day. Would love to see you pick a good spot to dig and run a sluice out there. Thanks for the videos and good luck to you Levi! Joe gold
Looks like you and the Family had a lovely day. Next time your going to do a bit of Mineral sniping, bring an UV torch with you. Topaz will pop out with golden-yellow's as well as the Zircon's which have a more mustard brown glow. Really helps narrow in on patches too. Cheers, love your episodes!
Pretty colours and the stream and ferns so lush. So love the bubble sounds and swishing water to get to sleep 😴 if I wake through the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. Thanks for making these clips of your adventures.
Levi, not sure if you can get your hands on a waterproof black light flashlight, but those sapphires glow if you shine it on them, might make it easier to see in the water. Really nice video, I love seeing all of you out there having fun, making great memories. Stay well!
Gold prospecting is very therapeutic for me specially when striking a good nugget size. But gem hunting is somehow frustrating at some point as getting a gem quality stone is hard, I would usually find minute or a lot with inclusions on it. Sometimes, I end up catching crabs instead 😂
Awesome that you are doing this with your family.. I have sent you a photo of the ones I got years ago in Inverell in NSW.. Will send you a company that cut mine by the Carat weight and they send back the ones that are not cuttable.. Cheers Famo59 👍🍻🤓⛏
P.S. As a suggestion > Try using a wooden frame with a 1/4 " mesh screen on bottom, add stones and hold overhead to sunlight ! Very easy to reach up and pluck out the gemstones ! Simple but effective! Best ! Grandpa Ron😊
Gotta love it when you get an idea that's eating at you because you were right.....trust your gut! That's quite a haul! Would a uv light give you a "glowing" edge on some of your gems especially in the darker areas? Quality entertainment....thank you 🤝
I wonder if they would glow with an underwater black light flashlight making them easier to identify? Very cool concept and great haul all while getting quality family time in. Cheers!
This was a great idea, might be some bigger gemstones hiding in there! Just as fun to watch too. It's odd that a creek with so much quartz doesn't have any gold
Hiya Levi, awesome video mate, those are some really cool gemstones, and worth good money too. I'm a rockahalic so to see beautiful gemstones like those is really awesome 😍. And the whole family had a chance to find some beautiful stones too ❤️. I hope you and your family, has a awesome blessed day mate. Cheers! Cya! 😺🐟 out!
That spinel looks very similar to the water tumbled obsidian that I find. I find plenty of agate too, but none of those pretty blue sapphires though. Great vid Levi! 👍🙂
Oh, l do wish l were younger and able to go and do this sort of thing. It looks so amazing seeing all those "Little pebbles" underwater. I am a jeweller and this looks so much fun. Your vid was the first of yours l have seen so l will be looking for more that you've made. Congratulations mate, and lovely to see the family doing it all together. God Bless and cheers for now! 😁😍
What a cool day with the family bud!said it before, but think its awsome that your family love the outdoors and treasure hunting! Thanks cousin Levi!lol
Hey Levi, I started watching your videos a week ago or so and Im hooked. Great videos. Im new at prospecting and you are teaching me a whole lot!! Keep the videos coming.
Awesome bro! Never thought that would work but actually does, and some amazing results! I think there might be a spot that would be really good for gemstones here in NZ, its got an incredible mix of geolgy and when gold prospecting has about 9 different colours and types of blacksand ranging from brown-black-silver and an insane amount of red garnets of different sizes and some very almost gem like looking material, just not sure if it has any actual good gems as I am currently pretty useless at reconizging them. Keep up the great content!
Hi, I love your videos, and they are really helping me get an idea of how to start fossicking in the Weld River area. I was just wondering what are the sieves and tools to suck up the sapphire are, and where you got them from. I would really like to use the same tools as you guys so I can use the same methods as you. Also thank you for all you're amazing content!😉
I realize that natural spinels, zircon and sapphires don't always fluoresce or fluoresce much, but I still think it wold be cool to see these shots with some UV light. is UV sniping a thing? protect your eyes if you try it.
Way cool brother! Nice to see a change from gold and to something equally as awesome! Sweet finds and thanks for sharing, hope you and the family are amazing!
Hi Levi: This has to be a nice check in the win column, material from the cracks alone for one. Question: At approx 12:09, how much sapphire would you deem cuttable? 10%? 15%? +? -? And can all the remainder be sellable if lapped?
NICE SNIPE AND GOOD TIMES WITH THE FAMILY. WONDERING IF SOME KIND OF COLOR FILTER ON YOUR GOGGLES WOULD ENHANCE FINDING THE SAPPHIRES AND OTHER GEMSTONES? CARAT PRICE OF THOSE GEMSTONES?
was just wondering that maybe using a uv blacklight can make finding some of those stones easier. might be an idea to give that a try on the stones you have to see if any light up under a uv light.
Was this in the Weld River down near the bridge? You know that it's easier to do that near Hobart in the other Weld River and surrounding creeks/rivers aswell as up in NSW and Qld!
i make a lot more on agates, jade and sapphires than i ever have on gold, i've found a few nice benches but nothing earth shattering. my favorite place to look is where they're dredging, they don't give a hoot about a 500 dollar hunk of jade, they pass it right up, its just a green rock to them
You live on a gorgeous Island approximately 1/3 the size of my state, Oregon, with a population of only half a million, and you can drive to gold, Gems, Lobsters and utter beautiful solitude. Sign me up, do I need a sponsor to immigrate? Hint, hint, nudge, nudge : D Great video Levi, I would love to find gems like that!
Looks like it worked very well I’m wondering if you would do better at night with a uv light if sapphires Flores and if you can find a bright enough uv light not that you need to do better lol you did pretty well I’d say might need a bigger snuffer tube though for the big patches. Great video and day with the family even though they got rained out (except the hardcore one that stayed with you 💪🏻💪🏻. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
What do you do with your collection of gems? I like watching the collection but never see what the next step is. I actually considered moving down to Tasmania because I absolutely love the place but health has put a stop to that. Great photography and editing. 😁👍🏻🇦🇺
Omg this so awesome to watch, funny how gems are everywhere if you know where to look and have the patience. Great videos! I thought this was in New Zealand till I read where you were. Sweet as :)
Great to see you out sniping for gems they look cool under the water might be hard to see but when it comes down to panning or sniping panning loses out all the time :-) ATB Brad
You have to try under the rocks. Thats where mostly good gem gravels are deposits. ( its mixed with clay and round stones. You have to take out that clay out , then wash it trough ur gem washing strainer. On than u'l find bigger sapphires for sure. 👌💎) good luck
Nice haul!!! I kept looking for a velociraptor to walk out into the river to take a drink! That place looks like Jurassic Park! Stunning!!! Cheers from Atlanta, Georgia USA!!! 🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🤘🤘
Hi. First time watcher. Loved what your doing. I guess when your chasing gold you can make a few extra dollars. Are the gems the same?? Good way to have a break and I hope make a few dollars. Thank you
Family that fossicks together, stays together.
Keep up the great work.
While you've had hardships viewers are aware of and likely others we're not. The family and locations suggests a truly blessed life. Much appreciation Levi for sharing just a little of that life.
Thankyou Tim
I found a green stone but I don't know what it is, can you help me please.
The joy of searching and beautiful nature are things that make you really happy. Greetings from Algeria
Wishing you luck brother.
Beautiful day spent with mum and the kids. Too me these gems that joined you on this adventure were the truest gems to have on any adventure. Thanks Levi for a fun filled adventure. You truly are a gem in disguise. Thank you for sharing.
The last black Jack looked like a heart to me. What a great family outing!
Levi your boys will soak up all your knowledge and skills so keep up the family adventures you are an awesome father and your boy’s will return the love you show for them 10 fold when you and the gorgeous wife grow old.All the best from Scotland and heavy pan’s for life.
Great to see the family. Good luck be safe 🙏. Hanging out with family priceless.

Good job lad thinking outside the box. 👍

to touch nature, need to have the right
Thanks for sharing.
I'd like to get into a bit of fossicking and I'm totally new to it, any recommended resources?
@@-LanVin ?
👍🏼 Beautiful Place You Have there Levi! Thanks for Sharing and StaySafe
Love that little ‘fossicking’ family… 🥰💎😊🇦🇺❤️
Still the best You Tube channel I have ever been lucky enough to come across...way to mix it up Levi...thank you mate 👍
Pretty colours and the stream and ferns so lush. So love the bubble sounds and swishing water to get to sleep 😴 if I wake through the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. Thanks for making these clips of your adventures.
Well done Levi good for you for having a go at sniping for gem stones, its good to see the family involved as well, great video thanks for sharing.
Awesome day out Levi, I love the fact that your family enjoy getting out there amongst it with you. Your a lucky man.
Levi, not sure if you can get your hands on a waterproof black light flashlight, but those sapphires glow if you shine it on them, might make it easier to see in the water.
Really nice video, I love seeing all of you out there having fun, making great memories. Stay well!
I was just thinking that would it help?
Beautiful genstone, very colors, here in Brazil too hunt gens, hug, from Brazil .
Awesome trip you had with your family. Can't wait until all my boys are a bit older and were able to do stuff like this
It's great to see a new and different type of search. Very nice amd thanks for sharing Levi.
Gold prospecting is very therapeutic for me specially when striking a good nugget size. But gem hunting is somehow frustrating at some point as getting a gem quality stone is hard, I would usually find minute or a lot with inclusions on it. Sometimes, I end up catching crabs instead 😂
Awesome Levi and family.
Thank you.

I'm in love with the beautiful flora. So prehistoric
I wonder if they would glow with an underwater black light flashlight making them easier to identify? Very cool concept and great haul all while getting quality family time in. Cheers!
I don’t think so? Maybe the light will catch a bit.
Shill much?
How is to contract to those who groom children?
This was a great idea, might be some bigger gemstones hiding in there! Just as fun to watch too. It's odd that a creek with so much quartz doesn't have any gold
Granite has gems and sometimes has gold but a lot of the time it’s just made out of quartz that has no gold
I grew up in tassie. When I was a kid we used to go to mole Creek for stones. Give it a try sometime. Used to find alot of fossils there also.
cool finds fam. keep on having fun fam. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
Love it Levi! You are rockstar in the rocks!
Oooh,interesting . Awesome finds 🙌👏🏻👏🏻
Hiya Levi, awesome video mate, those are some really cool gemstones, and worth good money too. I'm a rockahalic so to see beautiful gemstones like those is really awesome 😍. And the whole family had a chance to find some beautiful stones too ❤️.

Can’t wait to come over I have a nephew over there might have to have a look around 👍👍👍❤️
Spinel polishes up beautifully with a mirror shine on the facets. Much underrated gemstones and great for jewellery.
What a cool day with the family bud!said it before, but think its awsome that your family love the outdoors and treasure hunting! Thanks cousin Levi!lol
Awesome gemstones Levi 👍
I always love your videos man. What a beautiful place to spend time. Can’t wait for the weather to turn here.
Thank you Levi and family for a awesome video I would love to be able to go out and do this with my family

@Echo Thanks a lot! I will definitely keep my eyes out! Getting over there next week so hopefully can have a good look then :)!
i wonder if the gems would show up better with a uv headlamp, or a red headlamp
Hi, I love your videos, and they are really helping me get an idea of how to start fossicking in the Weld River area. Way cool brother! Nice to see a change from gold and to something equally as awesome! Sweet finds and thanks for sharing, hope you and the family are amazing!
Now that was awesome congratulations on your haul
What a beautiful place. I would love to be there. Cool finds.. Have a great day..😎😎😎😎
Nice family trip. Can you sell the stones locally?
Grate video levi this is the only one I have ever seen off sniping for gemstones it's a grate idea off using a black light under water
Stunning Levi and beautiful sapphires. Great filming 👍
Another beautiful area of Tassie, great job Levi awesome collection 😎👍
Hi Levi: This has to be a nice check in the win column, material from the cracks alone for one.
Question: At approx 12:09, how much sapphire would you deem cuttable? 10%? 15%? +? -? And can all the remainder be sellable if lapped?
Pretty rocks ....cool adventure for the family.... but it aint like gold brother!..lol!
NICE SNIPE AND GOOD TIMES WITH THE FAMILY. WONDERING IF SOME KIND OF COLOR FILTER ON YOUR GOGGLES WOULD ENHANCE FINDING THE SAPPHIRES AND OTHER GEMSTONES? CARAT PRICE OF THOSE GEMSTONES?
How do sapphires look under diffrent types of lighting? Let's say they react to black lighting so snipping at night would prove to be more productive.
Another top video mate, i always drive over those rivers, sometime I'm gonna jump in and go for it!
A great day out with the family in another spectacular location. Well done mate and keep up the great content.

Try using different spectrum of light. Some stones would glow with uv black light, so not sure if it might help in someway
Nice, such a beautiful place to snipe. I wonder if a separate blue light would help sapphire spotting
What a wonderful way to spend a day❤
Excellent results buddy, those spinel actually cut really nice.
Gorgeous stuff !! Cooke to see the difference in blues they can be !!
Looks like it worked very well I’m wondering if you would do better at night with a uv light if sapphires Flores and if you can find a bright enough uv light not that you need to do better lol you did pretty well I’d say might need a bigger snuffer tube though for the big patches. What an absolutely gorgeous location! I’m in boring Ontario.
I watch these types of videos and they make me think of all the stones I want over when Im fly fishing. I know my area has gold and garnets
Awesome finds! Keep the videos coming!
Beautiful scenery awesome video thanks for sharing xx
Something different Levi! Spinel or corundum? Some gemstones glow under UV light!!!! Good stuff all round!
Great to see you out sniping for gems they look cool under the water might be hard to see but when it comes down to panning or sniping panning loses out all the time :-) ATB Brad
Nice! You should mail one or two of the sapphires to the youtuber Vintage Time to have them faceted!
You have to try under the rocks. Thats where mostly good gem gravels are deposits. ( its mixed with clay and round stones. You have to take out that clay out , then wash it trough ur gem washing strainer. On than u'l find bigger sapphires for sure. 👌💎) good luck
Have you ever thought of looking with a neon light?
So wat are they paying for sapphire, did you make a bit for your weekend
Amazing, what kind of environment should look at?
Loved this vid, was wondering if you had alluvial gems in tassie, will you be getting any of them cut
I wonder if using a UV flashlight would bring some extra contrast to the gems you're looking for- even if they don't fluoresce maybe nontarget gems do
Snipping, interesting word. I am sick at home with cancer. Thank you for letting me come with your family.
Loved the video! Thanks for sharing!
Good job brother, well done. Mark H (Bali)
nice one bro cool gemstones
Could you use a different coloured light that would react with the blue making them easier to spot perhaps??
We're back UA-cam unsuited us 🇺🇸. Keep swinging 💯 Beautiful stones.
Beautiful place. Looks like fun!
First,now onto the video
Nice haul!!! I kept looking for a velociraptor to walk out into the river to take a drink! That place looks like Jurassic Park! Stunning!!! Cheers from Atlanta, Georgia USA!!! 🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🤘🤘
Yeah is crazy country my gold areas are even more so prehistoric looking
I'd love faceting some of them 💎
Hi. First time watcher. Loved what your doing. I guess when your chasing gold you can make a few extra dollars. Are the gems the same?? Good way to have a break and I hope make a few dollars. Thank you
We have those in Montana as well. Only place other than that I know of to find them
