Yesterday my ABS light(s) came on my 2016 RAM truck's dash as I was driving out of the driveway.
I took it to my local Dodge RAM dealer. They said the ABS Module had an internal failure.
The diagnostic charge was $ 160.00 and the module was about $ 1,400.00.
They said it would take about a month to get it in as they only use genuine Mopar parts.
My truck is 7 years old with 32,400 miles on it.
I purchased the Mo Par Max Care unlimited warranty which covers every thing (5,000) parts.
The mileage limitation was 1,000,000 miles. You may say I have a lifetime warranty.
That was the best thing I could have done was buy that warranty for my truck and my wife's car.
Dodge does not offer that any more.
All I have to pay is $ 100 deductible and I'm back on the road.

I replaced the abs module on my 2012 dodge journey, and it didn’t have any codes before I started except the abs c2200-49, which is why I was replacing it. I have a scanner that can do abs initialization and abs bleed. After getting the new one installed, I reconnected the battery and went to start the vehicle to drive it off the lift. It would not start. None of my scanners can detect the abs module, they say no communication etc. Also now I have a P0072 ambient air temp sensor circuit low, and a U0121-00 lost communication with abs module. Also the vehicle has 3/4 tank but it now says empty, and the brakes seem to be deactivated- the brake lights do not come on when pressing the brakes. I’ve cleaned all the grounds, I’ve bled the brakes, I’ve cleaned the connector. I’m about to put the old abs module back in to see if the new one is defective.

@@jefe33montana75 yes, the used one I got off eBay was defective, so I returned it. As soon as I put the old abs back in it all worked again and the c2200-49 was still in it. All the rest of the codes were gone. I then took the abs out again and sent it to module masters in Idaho and they fixed it and sent it back and it worked flawlessly. I reinitialized it anyway but I don’t think it needed it. Just had to bleed brakes and then abs bleed. Everything worked after that and all the lights turned off.
That phone looks like it's seen better days. The catch can was nicely installed, but not at the factory. Ain't no way they'd install something with that flashy red color.

My 2012 Dodge Avenger ABS module is pressed up against the side of the cars body and ridiculously hard to get the screws out. Thinking I might have to pull the entire pump off just to change the module. Probably the reason why that part/year isn’t on UA-cam bc it’s so hard to get to😮💨
The catch can is an add on. Not factory

I have a 2015 Dodge Charger RT with stability and abs lights on. Power steering is weak. Sometimes says lights are out. No steering controls. replaced a wheel sensor. They are all logging rpm now. . Voltage is good. About to replace BCM. Wish me luck.

@@eb972 My friend, your 2015 model likely equipped with the electric/hydraulic power steering system. Meaning it has its own model..Do you car have a physical mechanical power steering pump on it? Also are you subscribed to the channel?

Hello my friend, If you have a need to reduce the amount of oil vapors re-circulated in the intake of the engine, then yes. There should not be oil inside the intake plenium. But there are more benefits to installing a catch can. Thanks for watching bud.

How did you get witech on your phone? I have a micropod 2. Does a subscription to witech 2.0 give you the option to load and program on your phone?
I'm not sure about the subscription features. But you def will need a SID login.. But its cloud based i think and I'm able to do on mobile phone

Besides the wheels do you need too bleed the new abs pump/module? I seen people say have someone pump the brakes with the lines somewhat loose then hold it and tighten them? Is that necessary? My car doesn’t need too be programmed it’s 06 Nissan quest thanks

@@wooddee6079 lol, Not exactly. There are other shops scan tool that will read ABS. But the dealership is your best shot at getting it right. Curious what problems are you having and what kind of car? Also are you subscribed to the channel?
@@OnlineMechanicTips 2012 Chrysler 300 i have code C2200-49 with abs internal. checked all wheel sensors and they are working fine. replaced 3 wheel bearing hubs. replaced almost all suspension front and back. cleaned the abs port. so i am down to the last option which is replacing module. Yep, i am subscribed.
@@wooddee6079 O wow, yes. C2200 def an internal controller problem. You have no choice. The good news is that they fairly easy to replace. the bad news is that if you get new or used, either way it will have to be initialized to your car using a real good scan tool.

@@JohnSmith-zw6tr Autel makes an affordable dongle for like $95 that you plug into your OBDII port and it uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone and of course get the free app, but then you gotta pay like $20 per manufacturer for the good stuff, but it’s a one time fee and it’s TOTALLY WORTH IT! It blows every other scanner I’ve tried out of the water! I used the Service part of the app, then Bleed ABS, then followed the directions and it sure enough made the ABS pump activate for each wheel. Check it out.

My traction control light is on but no abs could this be the wheel speed sensor. I dont have a scan tool that can read that

You might don’t have the right abs control module put the old one back in and watch it start had the same problem and it wasn’t the right one for my car

Yes Sir I'm subscribed can you help me out here with a 2014 Dodge charger Se Rear wheel drive v6 motor. I have a code U140C active will not erase,code C003A-1D active will not erase..I have replaced the right rear wheel speed sensor with genuine oem dodge sensor and I have replaced right rear hub and right rear axle all new thinking it was the tone ring and a bad hub haha I'm just spending money left and right. Is it my abs module or my transmission control module or the steering angle sensor ? I hear clicking in my shiftér when I drive it and turn the wheel. I think my steering angle sensor was showing a code and I erased that but I also tried recalibrating it and it keeps failing to initiate when I try to recalibrate it asking me to steering this way and that way for 15 minutes it keeps failing to recalibrate. I'm not sure if any of this is related to my initial problem I apologize for being so long but wanted to ask detailed as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated and I really enjoy your channel keep up the great work my man.

What is whole pump? Let me say this, if you open up any of the hydraulic sys you should bleed the brakes

@@OnlineMechanicTips It's a Chrysler 300C. When I click on ABS Initialisation, it loads for a bit and displays "Initialisation failed" at the very first step itself.
