Jake Gyllenhaal is such a great interview. His demeanor, his stories, THAT LAUGH, all of it!
And he's really nice to look at lol
"Without giving anything away did you do it?" had Jake laughing so hard.
Feels right considering every interview around Marvel would always ask about spoilers.
@@TheRandomGamerMoments😂❤
I’m crying laughing from his laughing !! 😂
Just watched the first 2 episodes. It’s epic. He is brilliant. I determine now if somethings good by how much I miss being distracted by my phone. I didn’t look at my phone once. It’s so so good
@@melissatiller634 yes, it's riveting, and Jake is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see the rest!
3:38 the glasses bit is so funny. I remember seeing Paul Newman in an interview, with his glasses in an unusual spot like Jake demonstrates. 😂❤
Jake Gyllenhaal has been one of my favorite actors since Donnie Darko. He's been in so many good movies over the years.
"Without giving anything away, did you do it?" Great question, Stephen.
Him freaking out putting on your glasses made me think of anytime someone wants to try mine, I tell them they can see the distance between particles.

Jake G is so adorable - just enough dorky to charm the hell out of me.
he's so giggly im dyinggg❤❤❤❤
Lovely to see two straight Sondheimians schmoozing it up about everything.
Truly he shines in every single movie
whenever I click on a Jake Gyllenhaal interview I know I'm guaranteed a few proper laughs... dude is like a gift of pure chemistry to whatever late night host has him
Jake has a Great laugh and the Sweetest Smile😃❣️❣️❣️
Thank you for this conversation.
These two are always fun to watch❤
There was speculation that Jake is legally blind now.
It's not a speculation, he said it in an interview actually. He is legally blind but obv wears contacts.
That’s been known for a long time, he’s talked about it before and is a long-time supporter of New Eyes for the Needy.
aaaaaaaaaaand: JARHEAD!
how dare you miss this one?????
well, Harrison Ford didn't do it!!! But hey, its a remake so who knows what wild and interesting fresh takes and different plots twists this Presumed Innocent will have for us 😝
His laugh sooo Cute ❤
He's likable. He's perfectly cast as Rusty Sabich.
Although he seems to want to forget it, he was hilarious in his early cult classic film "Bubble Boy". It was a comedy, but filled with satirical wisdom. Unbelievably released by Disney. That wouldn't happen now.
Jake is hilarious 😅😅😅
*sigh* Jake makes me melt 🥰
What a hottie. His smile, his laugh, his mannerisms...
We love jake Gyllenhaal and stephen colbert
Now THAT was a movie actor entrance, ladies and gentlemen! 😄
Gylenhaal is❤
The shirt tho😮😂
So I must see that play! First to buy air tickets from Sydney, Australia! Oh my gosh!!🎉❤
Jake back at it telling self-effacing jokes on a late night show
Totally noticed the glasses thing and agree it was sooo cool.
I love it! I knew it! On SNL he sang like he was preparing for something bigger❤
He did Sunday in the Park with George on Broadway. He's got a great voice.
More Italian than acting 😊
I started watching this series and so far it’s pretty good. 👌🏼
"Now, without giving it away, did you do it? " hahahahahaha
And Renate Reinsve, come on Colbert.
Can we get a Bubble Boy two. Original cast? Asking for a friend. 😃
Can we give it up for Jessica William. Such a fucking star
Othello! I wish I lived close enough to go! Washington as Othello and Gyllenhall as Iago. Who will be Desdemona? One of my fave Shakespeare tragedies and 2 of my fave actors.
Not sure if that role has been cast yet...
Not gonna lie, I thought Jake pulled it off where Stephen's glasses like Paul Newman. Paul was cooler, but Jake can get away w/ it too.
just watched episode 3 and I noticed before I even watched this interview the placement of his glasses
Thus Far Best Gyllenhaal Films/Performances: Enemy and Okja.❤️🔥 (24/7.).
Omg, I remember Okja... I really cried with that one
I'd put Nightcrawler up there.
@Azfa_
No Disrespect. But Legitimately Speaking I Dunno. I've heard that before. How is that particular performance - as Special, as Powerful though ?.
@@Azfa_Nightcrawler, Prisoners, Brokeback Mountain, Jarhead, Zodiac, Brothers...he's just so amazing and versatile ❤
Huh I would put nightcrawler before I would even think to put okja.
Gylenhaal film is❤
Thank the sweet Stephen for blessing my phone tonight
He is so handsome
❤❤❤
Great hair day btw as always Stephen
Jakie wakie😂
Still ripped from being Dalton hahaha
❤
❤❤
If you hang your glasses at random places all the time, how much do you really need those glasses?
He seems like such a class act I would love to work with him someday
He's hilarious.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💜
Is the JBL Go 3 genuine product of JBL brand?
He's awesome!
As a person who is in front of a camera all the time,he should know better not to wear a striped shirt on tv
he's perfect no doubt❤
Love me some Bradley Cooper!
Where's the scarf, Jake?
This guy doesn’t look 5’11
Umm you think he looks taller than 5'11?
Am I really a mouse all this time?😢
Did Stephen's temple hairline noticeably recede recently? I know it doesn't matter to him anymore, just curious. I thought if you made it through like 32, 33, you'd dodged the bullet of male pattern baldness. (As opposed to general thinning-out, which happens to pretty much every man.)
Even Jake's temples look wider to me. I rewatched The Prisoners about a month ago, and remember thinking this man has perfect everything. Him and Hugh Jackman, two men with perfect features, physiques, and apparently work out all the time like crazy, not just for roles.
Yes you are right if you have a full head of hair till you're 33 34 chances are you will have a full head if hair all of you're life but that doesn't mean that you're hairline won't go back. The more we age the more hair we lose the only guy that has probably the best hairline all his life is Brad Pitt he's 60 now and his hairline is the same as when he was 20 and you look at brad pitts brother he also has the same hairline as him so there are a very few ppl that are blessed with this kinda of genetics but most aren't.
@@mrpk1719 Thanks for the reply. I'm looking at 31 and counting the days...never had a mop but it has been holding. Every day now several dozen hairs fall, definitely more than back in my 20s. I'm told it's still within bounds...fingers crossed. Apparently it's hereditary in a rather squirrelly way.
Donnie Darko.
Nope! 'Jiggly' camera is annoying! I'll watch Brokeback Mountain or Road House. Othello in next!
Mice mouse តោ's Central computing unit.
But shows what everyone is covering up with Andrew and a bunch of ppl will be sued
not sure that show would work for anyone who saw the film and knows the twist
I don't understand looking at it like that....I mean, with that logic no one should do Othello, either lol
@@valmacclinchy i must admit that you do have a point there .-)
I like Jake G a lot, and I think he looks better with a beard. 🧔♂️
He's gorgeous. Beard, no beard, bald, etc😂❤
who is paul newman?
A bunch of pplare getting sued abd losing my respect

Aarrggh. Stop remaking stuff. The original is an under rated film, and I guess this might mean a bigger audience, but sheesh.
Does nobody have original ideas anymore?
The original came out in 1990 - that’s 34 years ago. It’s also based on a book and that’s the source material that has been adapted.
It interests me that people think they sound cool just by parroting the “ew, remakes” line but really they’re just betraying their age.
@@Tumbledore84
I could have watched it a long time after it came out.....
Well, it would have been rented on vhs!
I'm not completely opposed to remakes, but some just don't need it, and aren't successful. That also goes for some directors I like too ( van Sants Psycho springs to mind)
My point was that maybe, all these remakes/ sequels/prequels are getting in the way of people with newer ideas. Certain directors will push boundaries and go against the grain, but they tend to be those who've been around for decades.
By the way, I'm not opposed to all sequels/prequels either, but lets face it, you could probably count the successful ones on your hands.
@@vickiep4217 the irony being that in this same interview they discuss his imminent Broadway turn in Othello but you’re not bitching and moaning about that being a remake.
It’s just popular online wibble wobble right now to be “arghhh remakes!” It makes you sound silly and shows that you’re the one without an imagination, seeing as you’re too inflexible to see the potential for source material to be reinterpreted.
Good morning stephen colbert fans
He also stole an old scarf from someone...
She can afford to get another scarf
George Santos!?!
Let's face facts: the man's a thief!
You can say he popped Taylor Swift’s cherry… your first time isn’t going to be with the man who will stay with you forever.
@@Hollameyah899 That is no way to talk about George Santos.

Jake in yet another utterly unnecessary remake, that's magnificent.
