The main reason I only build basic pitch monsters is because, in a serious war, it cost more cards to defend a heavy pitch monster than it cost to raze it. Important villages are different, but the first villages you build for the first few months of a server you can get by with more simple designs that aren't card reliant.
Hi. Its a very informative video. I had been building Old Schools castles without even knowing it. What about f2p people? is it worth it to try for a pitch castle with the standard area of effect?
Pitch castles are worth it if you are playing against people or want to be safe. their down side is that you are going to need to check your castle every single day so the AI attacks don't destroy your castle. other than that it performs very good in PVP worlds. in AI worlds it doesn't worth it. remember always look strong if you are not cause it will deter enemies from attacking you when they see you have a pitch monster. so specially if you are F2P player I think it is viable decision but needs dedication.
I believe buying at least 1 x 4.99 and the starter pack necessary for the game because they open 36 weekly card drops and if you grind your way up in time you will have a lot of cards. Just note that cards will cap at 2000 cards and you have to transfer some to card points if you want to keep them.
Are those archers enough to kill the AI enemy? I tried to build something like this but Ai siege camp or Wolf kill me a lot of archers and also they destroyed 2 great towers.
The archers help but you need to have at least 8 balistas 2 in every corner and everytime a wolf castle comes up you have to destroy it as soon as possible. you have to check your castle and mend it everyday.
@@persiangameguide i built 5 balistas but 2 of them are in the same corner and they both shot at 1 catapult, basically 1 balista destroy 1 catapult and the other balista shot and waste one bolt because it shot at the same catapult, dont know why. The same thing happen with the archers, if I put 9 or 25 on a tower, they all shot at just 1 enemy archer.
@@f_society9151 Yes that is normally what happens. spreading out maybe a little reduce this effect. They will always shoot at the closest enemy and catapults are most priority then archers and then melee.
@@persiangameguide but...2 balista in the same corner is useless. They both shot at closest catapult, 1 balista kill the catapult and the other one waste one shot, is an overkill.
@@f_society9151 It is not always the case. each Ballista will fire when the bolt hit so slowly they will deviate . Next to each other no but 12 hex further and 12 hex in is good. plus if you have one ballista and its taken out you will have no defense. You can take a ballista out with a catapult wolly X2. puting them next to each other no but in general the more the merrier .

Great insights. I agree with you.
