Respect for showing the Fenders
Lol
Huge props for showing guitar history. The Fenders and Ricks both! The Gibsons were amazing!
A Les Paul, Strat and Tele are just different tools - like screwdriver, hammer and wrench. All do a respective job.
Absolutely.
6 in line means Fender's fine 🤣
Indeed !
His grandkids are gonna have fun listing all of these on Reverb.
👎😪
LOL.....Probably true but funny nevertheless
@Jack Plumb $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$insurance after fire$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Noo
😂😂😂😂
Good for Gibson for showing love to Fenders. Never in a million years did I see that coming. Respect. ✊
Logan Cipparone ✊!!!
Maybe, but I think I can barely hear bulldozers in the background...
They do that in every single video. Yet there's always at least one numpty in the comments that seems surprised. Today there are many. So people don't watch the videos, and don't check the comments before typing? Geniuses.
Love that you showed Fender guitars as well! That is great and it is what any guitar fan want to see! Two diff companies but both made the rock history! Well done Mark!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yep cus the fenders were about 1000x cooler than the reverse flying v’s and the firebirds. Lp’s and 335’s are where it’s at. The Gibson acoustics are world class too I love Gibson too ! Good vid
I don’t see Gibson and Fender as competitors. They produce guitars that are so completely different that not many players (that I’ve spoken too) can get on equally with either brand. They both have contributed so much to music, they’re on the same level of importance.
Mark is much more likable when he's just being a guitar fanatic.
More episodes to follow!
Mark is a super guy.
I’ve been a Mark fan since the beginning. I would love to have his job but at the same time, I bet it’s not an easy job! Keep it up!
@@gibsonguitar what really , i would love to see these private collections of famous guitar players. i was drooling all over my laptop watching this episode nd u say there is more to come, awsome. god bless mark, god bless gibson.
@@gibsonguitar There are nice guitars well done GibsonTV/ Mark !
Mark has a look of intensity that’s so consistent it hurts
Kudos to Gibson for including the Fenders and Ricks. We love them all ✌🏻❤️
FINALLY!! Gibson doing an awesome, non-scripted video with cool people and cool gear.. Keep these style videos coming!!!
You can tell it’s not scripted because of the fenders
Please do more of these this was amazing!
My dad got me a Les Paul Jr single cutaway in Sunburst when I was 13 in 1963. It was used, but a beauty. Stupid me stripped off the finish at some point, and varnished it in natural. It looked cool, and then, even more stupidly, I sold it to some guy for $150 back in the late 60's. I saw my guitar" in this video. Ha Ha, what a trip!
Major respect for showing the Fenders. Gibson making all the right moves lately.
Nothing wrong with showing some vintage Fenders on a Gibson channel. Leo and Les worked together on their idea's before going their own separate ways.
*Joe Bonamassa has entered the chat*
that’d be a a whole documentary
Congratulations, you’re a prophet.
Oh you just know he is Daves' newest bestest friend😁
This is a cool collection. But is sad seeing lots of cool guitars not being played.
I mean, who else could afford to buy them anyway
@@loganblair8402 Many of us could afford one or two. My mate has so many fucking cars, they sit around rotting. Why? Same with guitars. They need to be played, like their maker intended.
@@loganblair8402 they were made for being played, independently of their value.
@@AnonymousBosch3158 was just making a joke at how ridiculously expensive gibson guitars are
Daniel Cortez a lot of us underestimate how much harsher guitars where in the 50's. Even though alot of these are a joy to play, a lot of them suck ass too
The reverse Flying V I just call the Vying Flee.
This is gold!
Jonhattan thanks, I’m glad somebody else gets it.
I have one of those too. Dave is right. It's really a very vibrant body . Just a nightmare to play sitting down
John Sormani yep, even worse to play while sitting than the regular V. At least with the V you can hold it classical style on top of your left thigh while putting your right thigh against the center of the body directly behind the bridge, preventing it from sliding off. It feels weird even after you get used to it, but at least you can do it without the guitar sliding off your leg. I can’t imagine a comfortable way of playing the reverse V while sitting.
Genius 😂👍
It's great seeing you having so much fun. No bullshit just love for guitars.
I really like Dave's enthusiasm. It's contagious.
I am stunned not only by the collection but the knowledge and passion of Mark and Dave
Always liked ya Mark but showing the competition just made you one of the coolest reps out there. Bravo. Guitar nerd always wins out. Fan for life.
Dave is such a cool guy. He true guitar guy who deserves the success he has. Not to mention the shoes he needed to fill replacing Gary Richrath. A great player and guy.
Mike Lembo 😎🤘
WOWWWWWW
❤️
My name jeff
What a collection!!! Dave seems like a really cool guy, despite all the success and guitars....very down to earth. Inspiring!
I found this far more enjoyable than I expected to. Mark knows his guitars. Respect
Glad you enjoyed! More episodes to come!
Say what you want about Mark but his pure love and joy of guitars is contagious.
A guitar museum...in a warehouse in the Valley. So awesome. The pure love Dave and Mark have for guitars is great to see.
Great stuff - really class to show respect for non-Gibsons too. Good too see you back in the saddle, Mark! Special thanks to Dave for opening up his sanctum and sharing those treasures, damn. 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍
Everybody loves Dave Amato!
Better be like everybody then!!!
I can't stand hoarders, who da fuck is this guy anyway? How is it some clown playing in a shit band ("heard it from a friend, who heard it from a friend, you've been messing around" come on!!) can amass that much and Levon Helm a truely great musician winds up in poverty? REO Speedwagon plays casinos to collage nerds that missed seeing them in '83 and this guy has Joe Perry money? Doesn't add up!!
Well considering he’s hired by Gibson I’d say so lol
Dave is a hugely underrated guitarist. And he’s do turn the earth. The sad thing about Dave is REO fans have never accepted him as Gary Richrath’s replacement but let’s give Dave the credit he deserves he’s a top guy, awesome guitarist and a very fine collector of beautiful instruments!!
Gary is a BEAST on guitar! Dave is simply ok. You even said that REO fans never accepted Dave. There is a reason. All you have to do is listen with your ears!
@@naturerules3371YES! Dave is no Gary, but he is good.
There's a lot of collections like this out there. Let's see some more of them! Good work Gibson and Mark!
Being a Gibson fanatic, this made my day DAMN!!!.Thank you Mark , Gibson and pfcouse Dave Amato.
Thanks for watching!
@@gibsonguitar My pleasure.
I love that they didn't just show Gibsons. Every time I see Dave interviewed he seems like the coolest dude. Guys, please do this with Bernie Marsden.
I love Dave’s excitement and passion about the instrument, and collecting them. Thanks for opening up your collection to us.
Ah man Mark! This is what i like to see. Absolutely awesome! Really cool of you to show of the Fenders and Rickenbakers as well
Mark: Your excitement and enthusiasm is off the wall, you can sincerely tell the love you have for it.
Just some cocaine fueled enthusiasm.
dave: les paul koa top with korina back
mark: and a S T I N G E R!
first time i see a korina back les paul
Imagine what Jimmy Page has on his house in London! Mark - go there 😎
Jimmy Page owns 10 guitars max.....quality not quantity.
@@charliecoutts3003 hes been quoted at 500+
@@samedgar2283 Done a bit of research mate and if you don't include the mandolin it's 15 guitars....I would list them but although it's Saturday I'm off to work. The Gibson J200 he used on Zep One was borrowed from 'Big' Jim Sullivan, he gave it back and bought a Martin. You stay safe fella, I'm thinking you're from the States and with the plank you've got in charge anything could happen.....take care.👍😀
@@samedgar2283 Sorry, just noticed you're Australian 👍
I've always understood it to be Billy Gibbons who's the collector with a warehouse full of gear
Watching such a film with Slash would be the fn' coolest thing you'd ever seen!
The video would be like 2 hours long
@@AdrianTangzy And I would enjoy every minute od it!
When Rick opened the door I swear I heard Angels singing. LOL 😂 What a wonderful collection, I am still smiling. Congratulations, you have done a wonderful job of acquiring one of the most beautiful privately owned collections I have seen outside of Clapton and Gilmore. I wish UA-cam had a Thumbs Up LOVE Button, I would press it a thousand times. 👍👏🎸🙏🙌😎✌️
@@stratmagic6893 there has to be a yin and yang. The industry is what it is because of guys like him. And I'm jealous of the bastard too! Lol
I have a guitar shop and have to admit the Gibson Standard 50s are really looking and feeling like they should so much so I'm wanting a Tobacco burst to add to my collection. Also my estimation of Mark has gone up after watching this.
I'm glad Gibson are sorting things out again.
Very cool video, nice to see some fenders & ricks as well :)
I love this new series!
Brilliant show for true fans of all guitars. PLEASE keep stuff like this going!!!
Great video. Fair play for showing the fenders.
This was the best of these series. Seems like you guys are really friends and Dave seems super cool! Thanks!!
Agnesi is a sight for sore eyes!!!! i miss seeing him at norms rare guitars.
What a drooling collection....👍👍🎸
Nice, that's what's Mark is good at, not threatening small time guitar companies!
I'd been missing you Mark.
As always thank again, from the family Gibson. Who also loves his tele.
Kudos for showing fender guitars. He has a collection to die for.
That’s a hell of a collection. Wow
Glad they showed fenders too. Awesome collection of Gibson's and fenders and amps.
That red V is absolutely stunning! Thanks Mark and Dave for sharing this with us,cheers.
greatest video so far in 2020! just wow :)
I remember seeing the Lonnie Mack Flying V at Dave’s Guitar Shop, so cool seeing it again!
This episode is giving me a flashback to when Mark was doing Norm’s Guitar of the Day!
Fantastic - No other word for it
Mark is awesome, thank you for this. We are all in guitar heaven
It's Mark Agnesi! Did he see his shadow? Is spring going to come early?
Dude,...... outstanding!

Thanks for sharing.....guess I’ll have to just be happy with my ‘81 Heritage Standard-80. I was born in ‘58,....I really need that Broadcaster!!!
Mark, great job! I love my 2020 LP Classic and have much respect for these large vintage collections - just awesome.
Great show, Mark! Love seeing this incredible collection. Also loved that you showed all the classics. Class move.
What a collection. Can't wait to see more episodes of this series, great idea.

Possibly the best video I've ever seen on UA-cam.
A nice tour of Dave's Rare Guitars...
Really cool, Dave's awesome, ridiculous collection. Good job Mark, great to see you back on the tube again.
Dave Amato....livin' the dream...........and seems like a hell of a nice guy.

Amazing collection! And that’s an understatement!
I'd give Dave a high five and thumbs up or two for a go at that '64 strat. That thing is sick. :)

I didn’t know Dave Amato before this video, now he’s one of my favorite people!!!
Awesome. 👍🏼👌🏽🎸🎸🎸🎸
reo speed wagon must pay well
It doesn't make any sense to me. At best they play Casinos and this clown has Joe Perry money? Must be a fucking narc!!!
Sick

Awsome.... and even cooler when it's a rock stars collection.
I hope when I die I wake up at Dave Amato's
This series is educational and very entertaining. I love these segments. Keep them coming please.
I appreciate the fact you showed the fenders also. Very very nice of you. Everyone watches it for the gibsons anyway, no need to cut it out.
