It's hard to believe nearly another 30 years have passed. Approaching age 72, it's getting harder to convince myself that "I'm younger than that now." (but I keep trying).
I'm 79 yrs, but inside I feel like 11 yrs. I'm thinking about being 78 on my next birthday, then 77 on the one after that, and so on. Wonder how young I can get. Someone said if anyone asks you how old you are, you should answer, "my age is no business of mine."
I doubt it. Can you imagine, the so called "artist's" of today, even appearing on the same stage. The wankers ego's, would struggle for a place at the front. And their "music", is shit anyway. They will never be worth listening to, other than by council house whore's, with more kids than i have had hot dinners.
Absolutely love this song and all the performers - great to hear George and Tom. I’m 67 now and am so lucky to have had these fantastic musicians and songwriters in my life. I never tire of hearing this - thank you guys

I remember watching this concert live on TV. This song was my favorite moment of the show, many of my favorite musicians on the stage together to perform this beautiful song. Clapton was at the top of his game. George got the biggest cheers from the crowd. Such an incredible collection of talent in this video.

Every singer had exquisite individual style and emotional input to their own verse. I couldn't say any one was best ... except that Bob's vocals had such ownership of my first memories of this song.
McGwinn's special twang floating throughout--perhaps he made the song--for sure, i did not hear or know the lyrics---it was the sound, the sound---(i hear the lyrics now, but do not comprehend them--the sound moves me.
I play mainly electronic pop and dance music, it's always been my preferred choice as a musician. And George Harrison and Neil Young still leave me utterly speechless with awe. Absolutely glorious.
This song tugged at the heart strings from day one but as we keep losing these beautiful souls it becomes even more valuable.......first George....then we lost Tom and more to come inevitably.....what a gem this clip is.....

As you say, Neil Young has a rawness and just seemed (to me) to fit better with the sort of more earthy, gritty feel from Dylan and the others. Certainly wouldn't want to disrespect Mr Clapton!
What a wonderful video ... This was the biggest jam session ever in the history of music. It is amazing how Eric Clapton was inspired by this show, at a time when he dominated the world with his music.

Rose Cruz - there is something particularly brilliant about George Harrison's singing style which makes it unique and wonderful! They are all good but listen to George again.

Legends, some of whom are not among us. Master Neil's influence is so obvious, 'Crazy Horse'-type of rhythm and guitar riffs.
