Thx for showing appreciation for one of the most frightening and difficult tasks in football! It’s the only job in football I absolutely refused to do. I agree 100%! I always thought Hester’s short choppy stride and vision contributed to his return success.

He is revered here in Chicago. I got his autograph at the Bears training camp his rookie year, on one of his first days of Bears practice ever and spoke with him briefly and he was soft spoken and seemed like really a good dude. I remember a bunch of people yelling his name and calling him "Sir" while asking for his autograph and he was laughing because he had this " I'm just a rookie and a nobody" attitude and was just taking in all the fans excitement, but little did we all know at the time we were talking to the guy who would become the greatest return man ever in the NFL.
Its rare to see a man really want someone to overcome there accomplishments and hopefully be better than them. You can tell Deion was so flattered and proud to have someone look up to him and achieve to be just like him. Respect to the greatest defensive player and the greatest special team player imo
He was my football hero as a kid. I saw the thumbnail and clicked instantly, smiled the entire time. My best friend and I would take turns punting and returning together pretending that we were Devin Hester each time. Hester is without a doubt my favorite football player of all time.
Love this guy. The only player on Madden 08 with 100 speed. 1:05 started laughing before his knee was down. never count him out haha 2:54 one of my favourites 3:17 chills 4:45 5:47 MY GUY KNOWSSSSSSS (you're playing xbox tho, I was on ps2 lmao) GOD DAMMNNNN THAT ENDINGGGGGGG
They ran the ball with him and he was NOT an effective RB. His skill returning kicks/punts did not really transfer over to the offense as one might think. In fact, after the NFL outlawed wedge blocking on kick off you start to see his production start to decline.
He did not translate into a Running Back because the Kicking Unit on Special Teams does not have 300lb - 375lb linemen in the way... That Unit is usually filled with Defensive Backs, Linebackers and a smaller Defensive End or two at the most. Devin simply chose to just outrun all the "smaller" guys who thought they were faster than him... He was the best at it too!!! Running back's in the NFL have to be able to take a beating! Not "jukes" but power running, to be able to get past those BIG linemen. Devin didn't have those kind of legs is all.
2:56 I drove from Chicago and witnessed that Bears at Giants game. Everyone in the stadium were stunned and didn't understand what happened with this play...but I did.
The most overrated team of all time? No thanks. He might as well do one on 2001 Colorado: they beat Nebraska way worse than Miami. Miami nearly lost to BC that year, too. If they didn't play in a cupcake league back then, they wouldn't have gone undefeated.
What defines a hall of famer? I'd say someone who completely changed the game and that teams absolutely feared playing against. Hester deserves a spot!
The guys that cheer for the lovable losers always have the best spirit. The "never say die" attitude... It can make things more gratifying when your team, that usually loses... Finally gets the win.
Greatest return man I've ever seen. That man could change games before the games even started. For that reason and that reason alone is why he should be in the HOF.
The Super Bowl return was the best moment in Chicago sports history since the Bears won in 1985. For that electric moment The city remembered what it was like to be a winner. Thank you Hester!!!! ⚡️
When I'm feeling down, I like to watch Devin. Always makes me feel better. I understand exactly what he does. He is a master of physics. Velocity and momentum, and his vision, caclulated instantly, identifies a route, which he navigates as efficiently as possible.
See for me he was worth a high pick because that was still the era where you were going to have a couple returns every game. Plus he clearly had the skillet to be more than just a return guy and he proved that to be true. Kickoff was still at the 30. He was so damn fun to watch. Not a bears, but bills fan and I got chills during his return in the superbowl. The kickoff, the lights flickering from the cameras and then his return. Was one of those iconic moments in sports.
Glad I got to witness this man's greatness. Not a bears fan either, but any real fan of the game loves to watch great players, no matter where they play. Cheers from a Cowboy's fan.

Jack Meahof yo this was my guy. Shoulder injuries got him but he was the dude. He should do one on forgotten MVP Rich Gannon. Side arm throwing gun slinger
Jack Meahof He was a stud when healthy. Look at 2007 for an example of the Jets without him, and the last 3 months of 2002 for an example of the Jets with him. They went 4-12 in 2007 and started 1-4 in 2002 before finishing 8-3 to end they year at 9-7, and clinching the AFC East title
I watched his very last game. I remember that it was the Dolphins' week 10 against the Titans during the 2010 season (I'm a Titans fan). Pennington was a backup for Chad Henne, but had been elevated to starter for this game because Henne had been dicey. The announcers for the game were hyping him up, talking about a comeback. He came out for the Dolphins' first drive, threw a pass while being tackled, banged his arm up on the way down, and that was it. I felt sad about it. I was looking forward to watching him come out onto the yard and breathe some life into the game. I had heard about some of the legendary battles he had against dominant teams early in his career. That moment seemed like the universe taking a dump on him, and I felt it, too.
Born a Miami Hurricanes fan. I fell in love watching Hester play at the U! I never was an NFL fan until the Bears drafted Hester and from that day forward, I became a Bears fan. When I turned 18, I got a Chicago Bears tattoo on my chest. Even though he's no longer on the team or in the league, I still watch every Bears game. Any other Miami fans that turned Bears fans because of Hester? Or has anyone become a fan of an NFL team because of them drafting their favorite college team's player? I've never heard anyone who has and people are always kind of shocked when I tell them the story of why I am a Bears fan. Canes and Bears fan for life!
No matter what team I would "rebuild" in GM mode... Hester was an easy trade 100%. He was dirt cheap and could put points up on the board. I used him as slot receiver too, which I never understood why the Bears didn't try him in that spot IRL? :/
Growing up I wasn’t even a bears fan, but I always knew what time they played and who they were playing so I could always watch those games because he could literally score multiple times a game as a returner!! Football was so exciting for me then!! I’ve never had another football player have this impact on me before or possibly ever again! “Devin Hester you’re ridiculous!!!” ❤

Tangent King holy shit how closely related? Like 3rd cousins?
"Omegalul" what a fucking normie.
Ya I don’t think Hesters cousin would say omegalul
Yeah Meyks, third cousin! I couldn't believe it either, but it is pretty distant so I never really go around shouting about it. And chef, why would my lineage restrict me from saying omegalul? I just thought it was funny that K did a video on Dev
Haha
Catching a punt (especially in the wind); it just floats around like a knuckleball, and you have to do it with a pack of lions converging on you while you’re blind and thousands of eyes are on you. Thx for showing appreciation for one of the most frightening and difficult tasks in football! It’s the only job in football I absolutely refused to do. I agree 100%! I always thought Hester’s short choppy stride and vision contributed to his return success.
Dude had one of the most insane rookie years
Imagine every time you kick or punt the ball you have to be genuinely worried that's it's going to be a touchdown.
KTO uploads are what keep me alive.
The last time kto uploaded was when I was at a recovery gone for my dad who got out of surgery I got in the parking lot of the same home today and I got a noti
5:55 oddly satisfying
Not only do you have great editing skills, but you take the time to find right film, and when you put it all together, it’s a ten minute work of art
LMFAO at the emotional moment between Deion and Devon, some douche is screaming at/heckling Michael Irvin "Mike, gimme some of that white stuff!!"
omg lmfao
Now he’s in the Hall of Fame
Honored to say I met Hester. Just a humble dude out at the movies with just his girlfriend at the time. Even got A picture with the guy. 💯💯💯
awesome video. good editing and your narrative was awesome. Good tribute to one of the best
This is a magical video. Thank you, Devon, for letting us be a part of your world.
Was going to take a nap, new kto video. No nap
It's only ten mins lmao a ten minute nap is a complete joke
He was my football hero as a kid. I saw the thumbnail and clicked instantly, smiled the entire time. My best friend and I would take turns punting and returning together pretending that we were Devin Hester each time. Hester is without a doubt my favorite football player of all time.
Love this guy. The only player on Madden 08 with 100 speed.
1:05 started laughing before his knee was down. never count him out haha
2:54 one of my favourites
3:17 chills
4:45
5:47 MY GUY KNOWSSSSSSS (you're playing xbox tho, I was on ps2 lmao)
GOD DAMMNNNN THAT ENDINGGGGGGG
1:09 is goated
Imagine if the Bears had Devin Hester, Brian Urlacher, and Walter Payton all in their prime this season...
and mack and peppers
CPGoat #3 Eddie Jackson, kyle fuller, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, all in their prime😳
@@Eduardo-tv7kq Yeah definitely can't forget the WRs. We should also include a good coach like Mike Ditka.
And Coach Ditka!
@@TheIcemanthomas facts
He’s a beast used to watch him when I was a kid
My man lowkey should of been of running back🐻⬇️ forever will be one of my favorites we miss you 23🙏🤲🙌
They ran the ball with him and he was NOT an effective RB. His skill returning kicks/punts did not really transfer over to the offense as one might think. In fact, after the NFL outlawed wedge blocking on kick off you start to see his production start to decline.
I thought he would have been a good slot receiver instead the bears would try him at wide out. He had occasional success.
No way. He would've gotten beat up.
He was not a good running back and his receiver routes sucked but he was the best returner ever
2:56
I drove from Chicago and witnessed that Bears at Giants game. Everyone in the stadium were stunned and didn't understand what happened with this play...but I did.
There are very few sports channels with editing that is this high quality. I can watch these over and over to feel the narrative. Good stuff!
Do a vid on the 2001 Miami hurricanes
Not even of a Miami fan but the Turnover Chains we're one of the coolest things to do growing up haha.
As a FSU fan, I despised it but you had to respect them. HOF talent everywhere. RIP Sean
The most overrated team of all time? No thanks.
He might as well do one on 2001 Colorado: they beat Nebraska way worse than Miami. Miami nearly lost to BC that year, too. If they didn't play in a cupcake league back then, they wouldn't have gone undefeated.
Abhay Iyer7 oof
This man was a hack in madden
Zema i forgot what madden it was but he had 100 speed. I believe it was 08
@@tavius88 yeah it was 08 lol that man was a pure cheat code lmao
And in real life too
Zema what does hack mean?
It means he was a cheat code
Great video, commentary, and delivery.
dude i love the moment at 6:44 .. shows how dominate he was... the guy breaks away for a TD and the announcer just calls it like its expected
What defines a hall of famer? I'd say someone who completely changed the game and that teams absolutely feared playing against. Hester deserves a spot!
It’s crazy how some young browns fan has a better channel than ESPN.
I'm sure being a Browns fan helps to build some character that can't be recreated by a major media outlet lmao
The guys that cheer for the lovable losers always have the best spirit. The "never say die" attitude...
It can make things more gratifying when your team, that usually loses... Finally gets the win.
Urlacher: "lemme get a breath!"
Who’s watching this after he made the HOF???
I remember watching his touchdown in the super bowl blew my mind, as a Chicago bear fan it was fantastic
Greatest return man I've ever seen. That man could change games before the games even started. For that reason and that reason alone is why he should be in the HOF.
The video was on, but you didn't put a cap on it "Devin Hester was the greatest" than you could have talked about your website .👌
I'm still pissed that he didn't get rookie of the year
mr no_name didn’t Reggie bush get it that year ?
@@tevincollins2869 Vince young did
mr no_name your right then they put him on the cover of madden 08 my man

THE BEST TO EVER DO IT UM FAMILY/BEARS HELP CREATE A LEGEND BLESS TO THIS BROTHER#YAH LIFE
The Super Bowl return was the best moment in Chicago sports history since the Bears won in 1985. For that electric moment The city remembered what it was like to be a winner. Thank you Hester!!!! ⚡️
When I'm feeling down, I like to watch Devin. Always makes me feel better. I understand exactly what he does. He is a master of physics. Velocity and momentum, and his vision, caclulated instantly, identifies a route, which he navigates as efficiently as possible.
and quantum physics.
I watch Kto everyday. Keep up the good work!!!!
Vivi Chamale thank you!
Yo KTO , straight up, do one on Demarcus Ware
I remember playing Madden 08 on my ps2 and seeing his speed at 100. Damn that was like 10 years ago. I feel old lol
More than 10 my g were old
I remember 06
Now everyone is sponsored by square space 4 strait videos
Yo KTO tried hitting ya up on Twitter but I wanna day thx sm for inspiring me to make my channel. I look up to ya and look forward to every video. You need ya own show on ESPN or NFL Network. You create amazing content man, just wanna say thxs sm for making some bad days good with ya videos. And congrats on 300K!!
Ah, nostalgia...all us bears fans have
Thanks to Devin for the memories. But Khalil, Roquan, Eddie, Akiem, Leonard and Allen are creating new and exciting memories for us.
I remember getting excited every Saturday night as a bears fan because I knew I might get the chance to watch Hester make magic every return he got. Still the most exciting player to watch ever In my admittedly biased opinion.
Those were some fun days at the biggest sports bars in Chicago back then every Sunday. Still proudly have my Hester Chicago Bears Reebok on field Jersey. Thank You Devin for all your years and memories in Chicago...
His rookie year alone was worth that 2nd round pick lol
Dude was harder to grab than a greased eel
Can we get a what happened to chad Pennington
Jack Meahof yo this was my guy. Shoulder injuries got him but he was the dude. He should do one on forgotten MVP Rich Gannon. Side arm throwing gun slinger
I want both!
Jack Meahof
He was a stud when healthy.
Kellen clemmens
3:05 I remember watching that live with my brother and my dad. I miss the old days.
Who remembers his 100 speed on madden?
No matter what team I would "rebuild" in GM mode... Hester was an easy trade 100%.
He was dirt cheap and could put points up on the board. I used him as slot receiver too, which I never understood why the Bears didn't try him in that spot IRL? :/
@@PRYVTgomerPYLE because he couldn't run routes
@@exarkun3080 Then he should have been a DB.
Was afraid you were gonna say Josh Cribbs, he is great and all but Hester was legendary!
Boy the title has Hester’s photo
Dante hall was better
yes wouldn't it just be insane to assume Cribbs, who holds more return records than Hester, would EVER be considered just as good, if not better...
Scott Faehner cribbs was a kick returner more than a punt returner
Ohio Against The World he doesn’t hold more return records than Hester....
I love Devin Hester he’s the 🐐
Growing up I wasn’t even a bears fan, but I always knew what time they played and who they were playing so I could always watch those games because he could literally score multiple times a game as a returner!! Football was so exciting for me then!! I’ve never had another football player have this impact on me before or possibly ever again!
“Devin Hester you’re ridiculous!!!” ❤
Devin Hester deserves to be in the HOF. His ability to change the tide of a game just by returning kicks is a rare gift that few players have.
